I'm NEVER notified when there is an update. It's not that big of a deal but it would be a really nice feature that worked. My boyfriend (using the moment) gets his notification but I don't understand why I'm not getting any. I do have it set so it would notify my. Also I been having this problem since I got it in November.

View 2 Replies View Relatedi've tried out all the radios to test out which is the best for me..and i devided on the one that was based off the verizon radio..so i got an error message saying "You must be a Sprint Customer to use this feature" so i changed to the newest radio out 2.42.01.04.27 and i still get the same issue..what could it be?

I think because its a HTC phone it is made with the black bar, but is their anyway to extract the APK from any other android phone if such a file exists and just install it on the Hero, I really prefer the white one.
View 3 Replies View RelatedAs the title says really, I cannot get my Hero to vibrate when I get a text message. In Messages > Settings > Vibrate, the option is ticked but even if I untick / restart / retick it still doesn't work. I've also tried pressing the volume button down to vibrate mode and back again but that makes no difference.I've even tried working with Handcent and yet I still cannot get the vibrate working. Everything else works such as the status bar notification but that's it.The vibrate part is definitely working for phone calls and other apps so I don't think that it's a hardware problem. Any idea what could be causing it? I'm using the latest official UK Orange ROM.

They activated the phones for us and than told us that it should only be 30 minutes before our phones were on but could take up to 24 hours. its been about 15-16 hours and was wondering if it takes everyone this long?

1- Android market do not work. When I run android market nothing appeared.
2- I cannot login to my twitter and I do not know why. I check the password twice from my computer but on hero not work.
3- Is it any way for updating facebook status faster? Is there any facebook widget?
Alright well I got my Hero on release date(After going through 3 Pre's! ). Well so far I love it. Battery life has been just fine(And thats with the system at 100% lol), and the apps are amazing. But I have a question. I noticed there's two LED lights at the top of the phone. Yet I've only ever seen one light up! Is this how it is for everyone else? Only my left one lights up(green for texts, and amber for charging). And my friend's G1's Scroll Wheel also lights up, and was just wondering why ours doesn't.

I'm trying to find FlightTrack and I'm told "There are no matches in Android Market for the search: flighttrack." When I go to the developer's site and scan the 2D barcode and follow the link I'm told "There are no matches in Android Market for the search: pname:com.mobiata.flighttrack"
The developer is talking to Google about it. In the meantime, can some of my fellow Hero owners who took the recent update see if they can see FlightTrack in the Market and report it here? Then I'll know that the problem is either limited to my phone or is a general one for Heros.
Is there anyway to change the account used for Android Market? I want it to be different than my Google email account that is synced to contacts, mail, calendar.

Just hit menu, and configure up to seven screens. I just downloaded and it looks pretty sweet so far. I have heard from both 2.0.1 rooted and non rooted users as being able to see this in the market.Please let me know if you can�t. If you have a rooted Android 2.0.1 device and can�t see this app, there is a simple hack you can do to make 2.1 apps viewable and then down loadable in the market.

Ive tried using the adb push command from my pc but it says that it couldnt because its a read-only file system. (lost me there!) This was one of my favorite apps and now its like it never existed? Does anybody else not see calorie counter when they search for it? I don't understand how it could just not show up anymore in the market. If anyone has it, could they possibly back up the app to there SD card and send me the .apk file so I can install it? Would that work?
