View 1 Replies View RelatedI found a few threads about this in the European HTC Hero section.I also saw someone posted the question in Sprint's thread, however I can't find it through the search function.Does anyone know of an app or any way to turn the screen off while making a call.I know it automatically times out and turns the screen off, but I have hit the end call button too many times now.Hopefully there is a fix out or in the works for this.

Any Ideas before I spike this thing like an aborted fetus and paint the wall with my brain matter? Goodbye cruel world...

I tried the lock screen and ended up locking my phone out due to too many tries in my pocket and ending up having to reset my phone to use again. Even with the lock screen on, the menu button still turn the phone on.

-Access the market once
-wake up the phone at 9:43 and the battery indicator is down to 94%
wtf? Check spare parts partial wake usage since last unplugged and the Calander is up there at the top above the Android system.
I have a rooted Sprint Hero and I'd like to save and run apps off of my 16gb class 6 SD card while running the factory ROM. Is this possible? If so how can I do so. If not, I'm willing to flash to a different ROM, what's a good stable one?
View 8 Replies View RelatedIf I wipe my phone, will the market still show the applications I downloaded in the past? I know before I could use the market I had to connect it to my gmail account.. wasn't sure if my download list was tied to my Gmail account or not.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've been through a few Hero's for a couple of different reasons, and I keep running into this same problem. The issue is as I'm using an application other than google maps, the gps receiver continues to search and flash active after exiting the application. The only way that I can seem to get it do deactivate is go into the google maps app and then exit. This happens when I use ANY app that utilizes location aside from google maps.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have been trying moving applications to SD card but failed when I go to terminal and use CP command. Is anyone done applications to SD card and if yes how can somebody share some details please. A to Z. My hero is already root, just running out of space on my internal memory. Its sad that HTC don't allow to put applications on SD. Love to have an option to ask where do you want to install the apps?

View 2 Replies View RelatedBeing new to the Android, I was wondering if there is a program out there that will close your application permanently once you're finished with it? I know Task Killer is out there, and use it quite frequently, but I'm noticing that when I get out of DroidLive, Google Maps, etc. they stay running in the back ground and the phone will start to get sluggish.
Also on Bootup the phone boots Facebook and Google Maps. Any way to disable this?
If u turn mobile network off can u still recieve calls and text messages.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI just switched from the pre and am loving it. One problem: I installed a market app for messages and now I get TWO notifications for each text. I cannot find a way to "turn off" the stock app. Ideas?
View 2 Replies View Relatedsince the latest stable, and now the 133 full, it seems like 5 or 6 times a day im getting LPP force closes. Anyone else getting this or know of a way to fix this? Could there be something Im doing to cause this? Just to clarify, it happens when trying to hit an icon, as well as when trying to close an app with the back button. In the past, I have hit the home button to exit out, but since made an attempt to change my habits, as it seems hitting home keeps the app running.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI just updated my Hero today and now I am trying add back all that I had prior to update. My question is how do I use the handscent message without the stock message popping up. I only want to use the handscent message not the messaging system that comes with the phone.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've never had "bad" battery life but have always felt that the battery does die pretty quick. I'm text up to 100 texts a day tops, pretty heavy internet (checking work emails all day), a few phone calls here and there. Maybe some music here and there, nothing to justify the less than desirable battery life. Spare parts never showed anything out of line either. Rooting was something I had no desire to do (I tried it and found it useless for me). Like a few others, I'm patiently waiting for *whispers* THE UPDATE. Anyways I turned off Sense the other day and DRASTICALLY improved my battery life. Sense ON- wifi off, gps off, location off, mobile internet off. pretty much EVERYTHING off. By 1pm my battery was usually 50-60%. By 10pm my battery was dead. Sense OFF - wifi on and mobile internet on ALL DAY. Now by 5pm my battery is usually around 70%. Running music/HEAVY internet for the rest of the night leaves my battery at 35% by night end.
View 46 Replies View RelatedMy native music player has started turning itself on at different times. I will get a triangle in my notification bar, open it and the music player is running and listed as ongoing. There is no stop button, only pause, and apparently backing out of the app does not turn it off. Should I look into a task killer for this?
