My phone is rooted with the Fresh 1.1 rom and I have used the Wifi-Tether many times and it always worked great. Now today I went to sign on and it forces close. Anybody have any ideas?

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have uploaded application to market and met weird problem which I never received before - when I click "Open" button when the application is installed I receive error dialog and the application is forced to close. I do not have this problem when start application from desktop launcher panel. I have already receive 2 stars for that though the exception even comes not from my cod - very unpleasant surprize from market app.
Application uses vibration and declares corresponding uses-permission "android.permission.VIBRATE" - this is what the exception tells me about, but I can't see such problem with other apps that use vibration on market.

It isn't easy to summarize the problem in the title.So in 1.5 or 2.1 v1 or v2, it was very rare for the Sense UI Home app to have to re-launch.By this I mean when you click the home or back button to return to your Home screen, instead of seeing the home screen you see the black screen with HTC on it, then you wait while it loads the Home application.This very rarley happened before v1.3. Now it seems to happen at least once or twice a day.I don't have more apps installed than I did before, I shouldn't be any more out of memery than I was before.

Right now, the markers appear at the right places but when i click them, the entire application stops unexpectedly/forced to close.Does anyone have any suggestions on what is wrong and how i should go about fixing it?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI went from a stock 1.5 to 2.1 using the Sprint 2.1 RUU and all is well. I understand it's a dev build and as such is already root but when I trying installing android-wifi-tether (both 2.0 and 1.6) it all looks well except when I touch the icon to start and it fails. The 1.6 version did report I didn't have root.
What do I need to do in ADB/shell to ensure the proper permissions are there for AWT? This is the last thing I want to get working and I'm happy.
Do I need to remount the filesystem as rw? Add superuser? Not sure what's needed.
I have a rooted hero on sprint with unlimited data but I found out that o can tether my xbox but , I worry now Sprint may catch on to my tethering and may surprise me with a high bill since I haven't paid for mobile hotspot Not that I wouldn't but it is not available with my phone . So should I worry ?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI just installed Fresh 2.1.1, and its running great with one exception. Wireless Tether, which is the reason I rooted in the first place, wont run. When I start the app it gives me a popup saying that root access is required. I have 2 options override and close. If I override and turn on the tether the screen goes black and says su permission at the top.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI tried searching but did not find anything to answer this question. I recently rooted my wife's hero so she could use wireless tether. Everything works great except that the phone discharges at an alarming rate. While plugged into the wall, it discharges faster than it can charge. Is this normal? I tried different cables/chargers but nothing seems to charge or keep the charge while wireless tether is on and being used. My evo easily handles the wireless tether and even charges up the phone while doing it. If this is normal for the Hero then I will not worry anymore about it. Will just tell her to use the wireless tether in 1-2 hours times to avoid draining her phone all the way.

I just installed the official 2.1 version from Sprint. For some reason Easy Tether is no longer working on 2.1, but PDANet works. Anyone else having the same problem?
View 10 Replies View Relatedsince the latest stable, and now the 133 full, it seems like 5 or 6 times a day im getting LPP force closes. Anyone else getting this or know of a way to fix this? Could there be something Im doing to cause this? Just to clarify, it happens when trying to hit an icon, as well as when trying to close an app with the back button. In the past, I have hit the home button to exit out, but since made an attempt to change my habits, as it seems hitting home keeps the app running.

View 22 Replies View RelatedI've been using Fresh 2.3.3, and everything is working great. However, Wireless Tether won't start. Whenever I use it - it force closes. This is actually the first time I think I've tried it. I don't remember ever using it on the earlier version of Fresh rom I had.
This only seems to happen when trying to connect through bluetooth. I can start the program, access the menu and settings and all of that - but as soon as I press on the big green wi-fi icon to start tethering - it force closes. The USB mode seems to work fine... but I need to use bluetooth mode.
I have rooted my hero and am currently running fresh 1.1 ROM, and I got the wireless tether for root users and its been working great until last night. I was having extremely slow speeds and was going to try disconnecting and reconnecting but as soon as I disconnected, my phone rebooted. Now, every time I go into the wireless tether for root users app, it force closes. What the Hell am I supposed to do? I need this to work.

Since wireless tether on the Hero doesn't support WEP, how do you prevent others from connecting to your hotspot? View 2 Replies View RelatedSo i partitioned my SD card per the instructions listed on Flipz site and it was working flawlessly! I couldn't believe it! Then I had to reboot, and that's when the Force Closes started and the phone started dragging like a dog. I'm using a Class 2 card, so that may explain the lag, but why the FCs?
I'm hoping I'm still able to use Apps2SD successfully and that a wipe/restore will fix this, because there just isn't a lot of internal memory to play with.
Fresh 2.1 is out now though, so I may just say screw it and start new. I just don't want to have to set the phone up again and reinstall apps.
I flashed to Fresh Toast 2.1 and have tried to run wireless tether. The wireless tether starts however when i stop the wireless tether, the phone freezes. I have to take the battery out to start the phone again. I did a reinstall on binaries and my wireless tether is version 1.6.
