May 22, 2010So i see that everyone is having isues with syncing Their facebook contacts to their contact list but I have the hero and am very content with it. I was on 1.5 until earlier today when I upgraded to 2.1. My question is that when I had 1.5 i manually linked my phones contact list with the persons facebook page. Now with 2.1 I want to manully do the same thing but my phone isn't even populating the list of Facebook friends so I can't even pick anyone.

Should I pursue it, or will it brick my phone? If I don't do this, I'll likely hard reset my phone. I've been having a few hicups lately. Nothing to write home about, but still annoying. Dec 7, 2009I hate the lock screen on the Hero, I know their is a way to turn it off, but i don't like getting a message and then the phone doing something in my pocket. Is their a way to extract the .apk of the lock screen from the droid, and just install it on the hero, I understand that the resolution on the hero is different, but hate the current lock screen, i have to slide it down 2-3 times for it to recognize. I downloaded lock 2.0 already on the market, its not bad. but it takes 3-4 seconds on my phone to actually give me the slide to unlock screen.

Aug 14, 2010I manually installed the FRG01B update yesterday. And since doing so, I have noticed a ridiculously steep drop in battery life. Do I need to be running FRG22? Is that available to download manually, if so? I also know that I don't have the version of Facebook that was causing battery drainage. ATK didn't seem to help at all (it might have even made it worse). Is there anything I can do to vastly improve battery life? It would be great if I could get the phone's battery to last at least 24 hours. I already uninstalled ATK, by the way.

Dec 22, 2009Does anyone know if the upcoming Android 2.1 update to the Sprint Hero will allow us to save apps to the SD card without having to root the phone? And also, some things to think about: remember that the Hero only runs class 2 speeds, even if the card is class 6. Do you think this will change once we receive Android 2.1? Because if not, I would imagine that the phone would be slow opening apps (assuming apps to SD will be available).I know that if they do program the Hero to allow class 6 speeds, and allow apps to SD (without root) then the Hero could run MUCH faster than it does now.
