On both the clock/weather and regular weather widgets I am getting the correct weather but the icon to represent what it looks like outside is off. For example, posting this at 9:30am, the moon icon is on the screen. I'm not quite sure what is causing this to happen.

Can anyone recommend a weather widget that displays the current weather based on location? Preferably cell tower info instead of gps and one that only used data every set interval based on my settings so that it doesn't use data constantly.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a facebook event in my device's calendar that is displaying the correct time on the main calendar, but showing the incorrect event time in two different calendar widgets I've tried, as well as the event list in the Facebook app.
To make matters more complicated, the facebook app is displaying a different incorrect time than the widgets.
I've removed the facebook event from my calendar, reinstalled the widgets, done a battery pull, resynced, and the problem persists.
I think the host changed the time of the event after I first synced it to my phone, but I'm not sure.
So I got the 2.2 Update. If I try adding the News & Weather widget, the weather is always wrong. Always has the sun on all night and temperature is wrong too. I checked all options of course, should work fine. Has anyone else encountered this?

View 7 Replies View RelatedI updated to v2 of the 2.1 leak several days ago. Since the update, I have noticed that the weather/clock widget that changes depending on your location, no longer works. All it says is "My Location" where the weather should be. I tried removing the widget from the home screen and replacing it, yet that didn't work. When replacing it, I was given the choice of weather for "Add a city", new york, and my location and I chose my location yet the weather never updated. In the weather app, there is also no screen for the leather in my current location, just New york, which can be deleted.
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo since the 2.1 OTA my weather widget will display the city, but no weather icon. if i sync it manually, it will show up. with 1.5 it would update every 3 hours, regardless if i had Background data on or off (i normally keep it off).
so now with 2.1 it wont sync unless i have BG data on, or do it manually. any way around this?
I have two EVOs at home (mine and the wifes) and both have the same problem, the weather app is set to use the gps location yet it returns the wrong location. The location isn't just off a little bit either, it reports our location as being a city over 160 miles away. I find sometimes the gps reports the location wrong in the maps as well. Is there a way to calibrate the how, and is anyone else experiencing this issue? It doesn't seem to be signal problem as I am in a strong 4g location and when off of 4g always on 3g.

Why the weather is disappearing on the clock widget? Sometimes I have to sync it to come back on the home screen. When the weather disappears I still have a internet connection. I noticed it today that I was having this problem. I contacted Sprint just to get this notated on my account. I read this on the forum before but I can't find it. How can I stop this from happening?

View 2 Replies View RelatedThe weather widget on my Incredible shows my location correctly, but the actual temperature reading is usually somewhat off of the temp from the weather channel widget (right now it is 7 degrees less). Does anyone know where HTC gets its info from? I like having the temperature displayed under the clock, but not if it is inaccurate. I also compared the HTC temp to a reading off of a wireless window thermometer and it did not agree.

View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen I installed DamageControl v2.08.1 on my cdma Hero the calendar and date are 24 hours off! Time is correct but it's the next day. When I did a back up of this install it even used the wrong date on the backup. I have a bunch of small issues that I think with patience I may be able to work around but this clock/date thing has me puzzled. Also has anyone figured out how to put a custom city in for the weather widget and not one of the ones listed but for example a small town (any town) some where in the USA? I could do this on my 1.5 but this weather widget acts like the clock and you can only use their listed cities.

I'm having a problem with the clock/weather widget on my Hero. I have it set to Current City and I noticed the other day that the weather wasn't updating. ( I live in Long Beach, CA) It was stuck on one weather. I especially noticed when it still said partly sunny at 11pm. It doesn't work even if i try to manually update.
I thought it was just the current city function that was having trouble registering but when I go to other cities nearby it updates fine. And when I specifically set it to Long Beach, CA, it was still stuck and not updating.
Anyone else having this problem? Is there something wrong with the weather equipment in Long Beach?
HTC Weather Widget always worked fine. Not sure when it quit but now it is stuck on New York (where I have never had the phone ...), wont display the current location, and wont update the temps.
View 11 Replies View RelatedI got Task Panel X for me Hero and i've been trying to play aroudn with it. But ever since I got it, the weather part of HTC's flip clock widget has been messing up. It just shows a blank, no weather. Whenever I turn off the Task Panel X, it stops messing. Does anyone know how to make Task Panel X not stop the weather on the clock app? Everything about the app works fine except this.

The spinner display does not display the spinner value. When you tap the spinner, it IS pointing to the correct value, but it displays an incorrect value. In fact, it actually steps down.
I wrote the following simple program to demonstrate. This only happens when the form has a spinner within either a Linearlayout or TableLayout with at lease 1 other element.

I have all my contacts saved as google but every time I try to compose a text or email when I type in the first few letters of my contact I get 2 of the same home numbers and 2 of the same mobile numbers.
