How do u set the x10 to ring for the maximum length of time? i use ringdroid and although the sound clip i made rings for long enough when i test it, when the phone actually rings with a call it its no where near as long as the clip i made .. or long enough for me to answer the damn thing.

I have had 2.1 for a few weeks, and must say I didnt think I was missing anything having 1.6. But its like having a new phone now I have 2.1 I love it. But one thing that is really annoying is that it is all too easy to accidental go into the arrange icons mode by mistake without even realizing it. Quite often I look at my phone and my address book, or calls have disappeared from the corners and now sit with the icons. Is it possible to extend the length of time needed for a long press?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have been looking through the phone setup and i cant work out how to increase the length of time the phone rings before it goes to answer phone, it currently switches to answer phone approx 13 secs if it is not answered, and i would like it to ring longer, 1, to give me chance to get to it,and 2 so everyone can hear my cool ringing tune!I know other phones you can set how long for example 15 sec, 20 secs etc, and i know the blackberry had to have a code pushed in to increase to 30 secs. but i cant see how to increase the mini pro. Any ideas?
View 14 Replies View RelatedWell, not very impressed. Picked up the X10 from The Carphone Warehouse yesterday, but only had a chance to play with it today.
Negatives
1) Text entry is very slow. It clearly registers the key stroke, but it takes a while for the letter to appear on the screen.
2) Keyboard doesn't allow a "long press" to enter numbers and other characters. That is a pain.
3) Definitely missing the pinch to zoom.
4) When writing this thread, I repositioned the cursor to the middle of the test and it took me an age to get the cursor back down to the bottom; just wouldn't let me do it. Something that was so simple on the Hero.......
5) Ringer is not very loud even on maximum.
6) Camera light is completely manual and can only be toggled through the menu; not ideal if trying to take a picture quickly in low light. Why they didn't have an auto 'flash' option is beyond me!
Positives
1) Large screen is a noticeable improvement over the Hero's smaller one.
2) Camera seems good, other than not having a flash (it's a 'light').
3) Stylish looking unit; in my opinion, the best looking phone out there right now, which was my main reason for buying it!
Overall, it's just not as easy to navigate as the HTC Hero. I know I was used to the Hero, but there are things that I feel I just won't get comfortable with on the X10. I really want to like this phone, but fear that the stylish looks, good camera and Timescape / Mediascape are just not enough to compete with HTC's latest, based on my experience with the Hero and specification of the Desire.I would definitely hold out for the Desire if anybody is torn between these two! Luckily I have another phone on contract with O2 which is due an upgrade, so once they release the Desire, it's gonna replace this X10!
Can you tell me how big memory card can I put in my X10 and the phone will still works fine!

Does anyone have a resolution for this? Perhaps static IP? if this is the answer, what should the settings be?

Basically I use my phone as an alarm to get up for work. My old Nokia N96 I could set the alarm and then switch the phone off at night and the alarm would still go off on time. This does not seem to be the case with the X10i. It doesn't even go off when the phones in airplane mode which is poor. I just don't want to have to leave my phone on overnight in case it rings and i wake up.
Are there any good alarm apps that allows you to turn the phone off and the alarm would still ring at 6.30 for work?
How long have you needed to charge your Droid?I've been doing most of mine from he cradle (attached to my computer but unmounted) and it's taken about 3 hours each time.Three hours!Anyone else having the same problem?Would it be a lot faster if I just plugged it in directly?
