View 5 Replies View RelatedWhile I -am- enjoying it to a degree, I am getting bloody tired of needing an apostrophe, clicking the "12#" button, and having it put an automatic SPACE as soon as I push it, which requires me to backspace, then add apostrophe, then back out to the letters. I'm a gal who can type pretty damn fast, even on a phone, so this is really ticking me off since I'll look up several lines later and see a catastrophe of misplaced spaces in my words before apostrophe. How do I make it stop this entirely frustrating behavior?

I am an android user, using sony xperia z with 4.3. I have problem about the google voice (GV for now) and keyboard, im not the same as everybody with missing GVT or wanting to disable it, i actually like it a lot, especially because it support my language (not english).
using voice input is easy:
1. i press the GV icon
2. i talk
3. text coming out, there will be miss typed/heard sentences
4. you know, if the system doubt your speech and want to correct it, you just tap the word with grey underline,it indicating that it have multiple option
5. then you choose the correct sentences
My step number 4 is a problem, because the correction that pop up to correcting/delete sentences is being blocked by keyboard, that is why i say it also a keyboard problem. so i cannot choose anything from it. and i have this problem since 4.2.2, the first day i upgraded it to 4.3 is okay, but suddenly it happen again. i don't think i will resetting or formatting because i have a lot of app and chat history that i cannot delete.
here is the screenshot and i highlighted the point of this thread with red in case you want to skip reading. [URL] .....

View 3 Replies View RelatedThese are the current problems I experience with my X8.The alarm clock sometimes disappears when set after going in standby. This is the most annoying issue as I use it as an alarm clock to wake up. Going back in and out to the menu of the alarm clock without changing any setting "fixes" the alarm clock. It appears again on the home screen then.There is a big security problem with the pattern security. Sometimes when waking up from standby by you see the correct pattern for a couple of seconds, so there is no way to protect your mobile from getting used.Sometimes the wifi just doesn't want to connect to a wifi network, turning the wifi on and off for several times seem to fix this after a long while.When starting to type, in a text field most of the times you have like 4 second timeout which is really annoying.Sometimes the phone hangs and only taking the battery out will get you back started.

View 2 Replies View RelatedCan someone do a favor for me: open the stock Messages app, open up one of your ALREADY EXISTING threads (dont click "new message"), and try to type really fast. Is there keyboard lag? For me, there is a lot of keyboard lag. It's so slow that, sometimes the autocorrect box does not pop up in time, and I'm just typing freely without corrections.
View 4 Replies View RelatedIs it just me, or has anyone else noticed that they're message typing skills have gone down with 2.1? I seem to get way more typos.
I seem to have noticed that the touchscreen accuracy has reduced with this build, so I think that's part of it, but I'm also wondering if the typing prediction isn't as good as 1.5 was? I just typing doong, meaning to get doing, but it didn't change it. In fact, of the options it did give me for that, "doing" wasn't one of them.
Is it just me being critical knowing it's a beta build, or is anyone else noticing these?
And I've already recalibrated the keyboard and the g-force.

View 5 Replies View RelatedAlot of people seem to have continuous problems installing the HTC keyboard, so last week rosered asked me to write a fool-proof step-by-step guide for those users. So after getting back from my short vacation I decided to write a step-by-step guide which also includes screenshots to make it easier for you First of all I will explain how to install the original HTC keybaord, then I will tell you where to customize your own HTC keyboard for those of you that prefer it customized How to install the HTC keybaord on your Xperia X10Before you start, make sure your phone is set to allow apps from unknown sources. To enable this, go to Settings > Applications and make sure Unknown Sources is checked 1. Download the HTC Keyboard here2. Open the zip archive and copy the files to your desktopAT&T users will not be able to install this keyboard using steps 3-8 as they cannot side load apps. If you are an AT&T user, scroll down to see the instructions at the bottom of this guide explaining how to install the HTC keyboard. When you have done that, go to step 9 3. Connect your phone to your computer using the USB cable, drag down the notification bar on your Xperia and tap "USB COnnected" then tap "Mount". Alternatively, some people prefer to slide the SD card into a Memory Card slot on your computer4. Copy the HTC Keyboard files from your desktop, into a directory on your phone that you will remember (in my example I will use the 'downloads' directory5. Disconnect your phone from the usb cable (or put the SD card back into your phone if you used a memory card.
