My last phone was a Nokia N86 8MP. Like the x10, it to had a 8.1 MP camera. Unlike the x10, the images on the Nokia seemed a little clearer, but what really sets the Nokia's camera apart from the x10's is the flash. I recently tried taking a photo with the x10 in a dark room, although the photo light seemed bright, you couldn't see anything past 5 ft, the same applies in video mode. With the Nokia that was never a problem, the flash was bright enough to light up the entire room and so was the video light. I suggest, if it's legally possible, SE have it's testers look at the Nokia N86 8MP and borrow, if not improve upon their camera, flash and video setup.

View 10 Replies View Relatedi was having the same issue when i was using this phone on 1.6. but only this one none of the others had this problem. when i switch to video camera mode its fine, when i hit record it starts to record and the little light comes on aswell. in the menu the option is clicked off. whys it doing this?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm really struggling with the camera on the x10. I was expecting going from tocca ultra to SE, (both 8.1) to be quite similar in quality, but this ain't the case. Picture is half the size of the screen and pics during night are awful!! Cant even seem to find the flash.

No flash and pictures can be very difficult to take with blurring happening more times than not. One of the main reasons I choose the X10 over other devices was the promise of a brilliant camera. Sony Ericsson, can you give us any information on future updates to the camera, eg wil we ever get the flash that you promised in a 'future update' and will you ever increase the screen colours? HD video recording is a great start (I'm yet to try it out as the update isn't available to me yet), but please bring the camera up to the quality I've experienced with previous SE devices

I can get the light to come on in video mode but just want to use as flash.
Is there an app out there or am I just stuck with crappy camera that cant take pics at night.
Will the android version 2.1 update provide the X10 a proper flash LED when taking photo's? Currently, it's somewhat cumbersome to go all the way into settings to turn on the LED light (that stays on until you turn it off) just to take a well lit photo. So I'm just wondering will the LED flash on the new OS update provide the automatic LED flash?

In my oppinion, this chinese keyboard is not user friendly and hard to use. so I tried to change any settings that related to keyboard and language but still my Keyboard still in chinese. View 4 Replies View RelatedI've had the X10 a week now, changed the keyboard to and from the stock Android keyboard when I first had it - but now I can't recall how to change it back again (I'm sure someone's been messing with the phone because i've not changed the keyboard in the past few days).
I've tried chaging in Setting > Locale and Text, but its clearly not there...
Does the phone have a light source? for instance if u wanted to take a picture where there is no light u would need a flashlight.

From SE Macedonia they told me that my phone cannot be repaired. My gurantee is not valid because they told me that I've broken the motherboard.

This is a huge pain when you are taking a photo and have to go through several steps to turn on a light that should have been an automatic flash to begin with or at least have a quick toggle button on the same camera screen. This is nuts not to have this at an instant when it is so important to have to take some pictures. View 3 Replies View RelatedI enabled APN in the settings. But, I want to be able to enable/disable my APN so I can be sure that I'm not getting charged for using the Internet when I'm not. On the top of my screen I see an E with 2 arrows, one pointing up and one pointing down, when I turn my WiFi on this disappears and is replaced by a WiFi icon, and I don't get charged for browsing. But I want to be able to turn APN on and off, I can't uncheck the option for APN which I chose, and the application I downloaded does not work. The icon remains there when I'm not connected to a router even if APN is disabled.

1) Is it possible to enable record of phone talks? It isn't forbidden under the Russian laws.
2) Russian names have 3 parts - Surname, name and patronymic (father) name .Is it possible to enable these fields at SE phone Book? ( MS Outlook have it!).
3) How many time you need to open 8-mp photo at SlideView? Now it takes about 30 sec!!! It is very long. How to decrease this time?

Blue tooth: I am able to send photos via blue tooth, but I CANNOT send a song, ring tones, etc which I could do with my SE 850i I bought 5 years ago. Perhaps if there was some kind of file manager application where I could see the file, I could send from there. In my opinion, blue tooth was marginally improved, but still is NOT satisfactory. I looked on PC Companion and confirm, they were removed. I copied the files from PC companion back into the .emanual folder on my phone where the files used to live, but that did not help.Still unable to see user guide. Did anyone get this working again? SMS-ing unsaved number: This annoying problem still exits after upgrade. As far as I can tell, there is NO WAY to sms someone from the call log for numbers that have not previously been saved. I often want to sms a number in my call log that either called me or I typed in. The only way to do this is to save the number in my contacts first. Am I missing something here?
