Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 :: SD Card Won't Mount & Phone Crashes

I've just started having a problem with my big x10i, if I put the 8gb card that came with the phone in, I get a message in the status bar saying 'checking for errors'. At this point the phone goes really slow and if the phone locks I'm unable to unlock it and I have to take the battery out. I tried putting a different card (2gb) and it just keeps saying in the status bar 'SD card removed. Insert a new one' the whole phone is annoying me now as this is not the first problem I've had with it.Hope someone can help before I insert hammer in it.

I'll be sending or reading a recieved text or reading through some old ones, and the messgaing service will crash, i'll then open handcent and the same thing will happen. it will come up with the message "the application has stopped unexpectedly.please try again" with options force close or wait, i'll select force close, re-open it and it comes up again.

I activated call waiting, and i will be talking to a friend when i'll get another call, he options are answer,replace or busy. i'll touch the screen and press answer or any other option and none of the options work. the screen just crashes.

can we use our sim card contacts instead of the phone?after i sync my phone to sony ericsson website, more than 50% of my contacts disappeared from my phone.when i sync again hoping to get from SE website back to my phone, even the SE website is down by more than 50%.tried to copy the contacts from sim card to phone and it keep telling me 'the process com.andriod.phone has topped uneapectedly. please try again.' HELP! or else need to key in a number at a time for over 200 contacts.

I took my X10 to the SonyErricson shop to get the local sim working and GBP 60 later they managed to stuff the phone. The local sim now works but but the phone is useless as it does not power up When I put the SD card in. The authorised shop started speaking in Arabic telling me they could not help. I suspect they did not do a good job unlocking it or screwed up the os somehow. I tried to use the "Update Service" software and this says: "Failed to Detect Product" I have a catch 22 situtation as I cant power up and I cant use the phone without the sd card. I just want to reset the os so I can get back to defaults.

Got the X8 last week and I am trying to backup the phone but its not reading the memory card "please insert a memory card". Its very frustrating and yesterday it wasn't reading the SIM card, will I have to get the phone replaced?

My question is: how do we get that little SD card out of the mini-pro? Is there an eject button or some trick to getting it popped out? I can't find anything in the the manuals or by Googling. There's info about inserting the SD card, but not about removing them. I looked at pics and checked out the phone with the cover off, but can't figure it out. It must be easy and right under my nose, but I'm missing it. I know there's a card in there because settings recognizes it.

Since last 4-5 days, I am seeing that whenever I connect my phone to my laptop (using usb), the phone restart and during this time I will have access to memory card for few seconds (30 sec), after that the card gets unmounted (from PC) and I will see a warning symbol (yellow triangle) on phone's notification bar. So i am unable to copy data to and fro from my phone. All this trouble started since I upgraded to 2.1 Note: I have checked the memory card by putting it to another phone and it works fine.

I hope some one will be able to help me. I just got my x10 mini pro today. The SD card delivered with the phone works, but is not large enough for map data. So I wanted to use a bigger card 8 gb. It's a new card, but the x10 mini doesn't recognize it. What can I do? How can I solve this problem? The card is not broken, I can use it in my nokia and read it on the computer.

I received my new x10 mini phone a few days ago and am really impressed by it.
But...
After the phone has been off, the camera works fine the first time I start it.
And if I close the camera application and start it again straight away it also works fine.
But if I wait for maybe half an hour or more and then open the camera application, the phone reboots itself.
This is very repeatable and it looks like there's something wrong in the software or so.

I am planning to buy a 32 gb micro sdhc card for my Xperia X10.However, I have found tons of confusing and conflicting information here on SE forums and all over the net.To my surprise, even Sony Ericsson itself giving conflicting information regarding this.On the product page of Xperia X10 (click this link and click on the specifications), it says that Xperia X10 supports microSD up to 16GB only.Whereas the official Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 White paper (on page no.5) says that it supports -microSD, up to 32 GB. (The Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 White paper can be downloaded from this link).Now i urge someone, preferably an SE moderator or staff, to enlighten on this matter and answer how and why SE is giving contradictory and confusing statements regarding the sd card capability and compatibility for the same product?.
