Nov 19, 2010X10 Mini The alarm doesn't start at the set time after update to 2.1 It has failed 2 of 3 times. Anyone else had this? I'm sure I set it correct and it shows the alarm time under the clock as activated and also at the top info bar.

I downloaded it on my computer an tried to copy it to the mobile - with the same result. I just see the first picture of the animation. (it's about 2 MB)

Oct 18, 2010My alarm clock sometimes decides to snooze for an hour and 10 mins rather than 10 mins. I nearly missed work on Friday, what is going on!? I waited a long time for the X10 mini to come out and admit that I am a little dissappointed. I've had a SE W580i until recently and I am finding that there are a lot of basic things that my old phone could handle but my new one seems to struggle with.I have used my phone alarm as my only alarm clock for at least the last 5 years. I really struggle to get up in the morning and if I turn the alarm off, I'll fall straight back to sleep again, therefore I rely heavily on the phone's snooze function to wake me up eventually after going off a few times. I was initially dissappointed that you cannot personalise the snooze duration on the x10 mini, the 10 mins is usually ok for me but in certain situations I prefer to shorten it. Please consider including this in the next software update, Sony Ericsson!
But the pressing problem is the (massively) extended snooze. It happens every few days and seems to be quite random. The first few times I hit the snooze button, it works as normal. A picture of an alarm clock comes up showing the time, and a white segment of clock face is highlighted indicating how long the snooze is for (10 mins) and when it will next go off. Then, I stir due to some disturbance outside, notice that the sun is definitely brighter than it was when I was last awake, grab my phone in a panic and realise that I have been sleeping for 20 mins since the alarm last went off, and that I have less than 7 mins to get up, dressed, packed and on the bus or I will be late for work. Meanwhile my phone is cheerfully still displaying the clock face with the white segment showing that I have 40 mins left to snooze and all is well. I didn't even know it was possible for this phone to snooze for anything other than 10 mins. Unfortunately I am asleep whenever this has happened and I'm not sure how I've done it.
I have tried setting the alarm when awake and then pressing various buttons, tapping the screen in various places, even pressing and holding the snooze button or swiping it. Most of these actions do nothing and the only way to stop the alarm is to slide to turn off or press the snooze button. My theory as to what is happening is that the phone snoozes for the normal 10 mins, but then when it reaches the time to go off again, it fails to go off and then the snooze time is displayed as 50 minutes (until it reaches that time again for the next hour). I think the white segment does initially show the 10 mins, I've started checking when I hit the snooze button after it happened a few times, but I might be doing something different in my sleep somehow.

Nov 30, 2010Have X10 - generally happy with it but have recently been on holiday and needed the phone for the alarm. Have tried setting the alarm for Mon - Fri, everyday or weekend but whatever I do the alarm does not go off. I have checked the basic things - time setting, alarm tune, alarm time setting, ticked the relevant box (have tried every day or mon- fri) and no matter what I do the alarm will not go off so thus is very unreliable. Is there a fix for this or is there an app that I can download that will provide me with a fully functioning alarm that works as and when I want it to. Has this happened to you at all? I am currently running 1.6 but from some of the horror stories I read I am to upgrade to a higher version - if in fact I can do it or trust myself to not lose patience when the whole thing goes pear shaped.

Sep 19, 2010I just got my Xperia x10 mini pro today and so far I have noticed that my email doesn't update itself, I have to do it manually but it seems like the phone should be able to do that. I use a hotmail account on my phone and I would like to know if the email can update itself, if I have to wait for 2.1 to have this problem resolved or if it's just something that I'm missing. And sometimes the phone will say "Does not connect" when I do try to update it but it hasn't done it in the last few hours. In addition, there isn't any change in my real email account. I could read an email on my phone and still half an hour later that very same email will be considered new and unread.

Basically I use my phone as an alarm to get up for work. My old Nokia N96 I could set the alarm and then switch the phone off at night and the alarm would still go off on time. This does not seem to be the case with the X10i. It doesn't even go off when the phones in airplane mode which is poor. I just don't want to have to leave my phone on overnight in case it rings and i wake up.
Are there any good alarm apps that allows you to turn the phone off and the alarm would still ring at 6.30 for work?

1. Being told that it doesnt work over Wifi? Why the hell not?!

5. Now not being able to make it stop syncing (or trying!) even when I have deleted the bloody account!!!!!!!

Nov 9, 2010I have a Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 and tried to use the Update Service to get the latest firmware for my phone, but after the new phone software was downloaded and started to install onto my phone it only got to a few millimeters of completing before it threw out an error saying that that it couldn't install the new software! Now my phone doesn't want to work anymore! Every time I start up the phone it just shows the x10 picture with an exclamation mark in a yellow triangle! What should I do? Oct 2, 2010So I always used timescap to update my twitter.
But now, when I try to post a new message, it just says: "can't update twitter".
The weird thing is, it does update twitter and I can receiver updates from people I follow.
This means that the account and twitter is working, but I just can't update my own status.
Then I just Seesmic, to see if it's a problem with my account. But that just works fine.
The main difference between timescape working and then not, is that I was on holiday in America.
There, it worked fine. Then I got back in the Netherlands and all of the sudden I can't update my status anymore.
While in America, my X10 updated the time wherever I went.
Back home, it didn't update the time automatically, so I did it manually.
That's the only thing I can think of that changed.
Does anyone know anything I can do? (besides restoring the phone).
I don't know if i'm the only one with this problem, if not, there must be some sort of solution for it.

Jun 19, 2010When I try to use voice dial on my X10 it does not work. Not even close, never. I either get a list of phone numbers I don't recognize (998-xxx-xxx, etc) or after clearly saying "call voice mail" it comes up with "open calendar". Do I need to train it to my voice, or does it just not work? Is there another ap out there that works? Before got this I had heard rave revews about android voice dialing, now I am very disappointed.
