Has anyone figured out how to sort the Contacts by Last Name first? They default at sorting by First Name first, but I cannot figure out how to change it. I did make the change in Googles Contact list, but it did not carry over to the X10. Is this another 2.1 fix by chance?

I was wondering if the X10 can do the same as my last android Hero, which basically link the facebook info contact to my related phone contact, including the picture. I guess this wont need any hardware, but software. Has this improvement being asked or is it planned for future updates?
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy X10 changes the contact names itself, e.g. it puts the name of a contact on another and thus creates a lot of confusion when a name shows on screen during an incoming call and when I pick it up, there is someone else on the other side.

View 6 Replies View RelatedThis is silly and I must be missing something! Go to "edit" in contacts, then press on the 'blank' picture, which takes you to the "add picture" window. However, I'm just presented with 8 silhouettes of face graphics as available "pictures" to choose from. No obvious way to go into a folder where my images are stored. So easy on my old Hero; I must be doing something wrong on this X10.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have an Xperia X10 Mini, and for the first time ever of using a mobile I want to set up a contact group for all the parents of my kids' football team so I can send out a single message to multiple contacts in one easy go. However, I cannot seem to find a way to do this with an X10. On my old Nokia, it was really easy, but having come into the modern world and finally upgraded to a smartphone, I would have thought this would have been a no-brainer! Please, can someone help me!

when opening the phonebook and are about to sync contacts to sim, I dont get the Option as mentioned in the manual. I only get the Copy from sim, sync etc. How come? There must be some way to copy contacts to sim

Every contact has at least one assigned category, and some have multiple categories. I can filter my contacts on the X10 Mini Pro, which greatly assists in finding people, but I can't see any way to add a category tag to a new contact. I've looked at all the manuals I can find, and don't see this point addressed. Lots of information about adding photos and Timescape, but nothing useful.

I tried few applications, in which i can go to the contact (Edit) & select a ringtone & assign it but the problem is iam having around 1000+ songs & all songs were listed thr. So not able to search my ringtone immediately its taking so much time to search manually. If iam seeing the ringtone from my sd card folder & able to select the ringtone & assign it to a contact it would be better. Is it possible in any of ur known applications?

So far, the closest option I have found is this PC Suite for Android Xperia X10-Manage Everything from PC Gadgets | Technology Simplified.
In a nutshell, it involves installing additional driver, a suite on your PC and another app on the phone. Wondering if anyone has other options? I wish the PC Companion software shipped with the Xperia X10 could have this function built it. Adding pictures for each of 300 contacts you have isn't a fun thing to do on a phone.

2.Is it possible to assign a contact name to a photo that has been downloaded to the phone?For example, if I happened to download a few pictures of Zhang Ziyi, can I create her as a contact and get the phone to recognise the pictures as being of her?I don;t see a way of doing it.The photos are clear shots that include her face.Again, perhaps I have to do it through the computer?

View 2 Replies View RelatedOk guys, I got a problem before using Backup/Restore... I notice that everytime I restore my contact, the "STARRED IN ANDROID" check box accumulates (see pix below).. Those unchecked box represents the number of times I restore my contact.
After further investigation, I tried to restore different backup data and found out that the number or "STARRED IN ANDROID" represents the number I backed up my data.
I think, this is one bug of Backup/Restore application that need to be fixed.
I have recently found that my internet connection only appears to work when I am in contact with WIFI, the o2 service seems to have stopped working. When I have wi fi turned off, as I can't connect when I am not in work anyway I use the usual O2 facilty however in this mode, I cannot download anything. I seem to be receiving my email notification ok. Is there something I may need to change in my settings?

View 5 Replies View RelatedEarlier in 1.6 after I look for a contact and view it and press back. It used to come to that position itself but now whenever I press back after viewing a contact, it goes back to the initial position of contacts (i.e. the contacts starting with letter A).
Example in 2.1, if I view a contact (say named "xyz") and press back, it takes me to the starting list of contacts but no such problem was there in 1.6 version. That is after I press back, it took me to the same list of contacts I was viewing earlier (in this case xyz,xy** etc.)
