Just upgraded to Android 2.1, all seems fine but a wireless network I could connect to and browse from prior to the upgrade is connectable but will not complete the page download.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've experienced quite a lot of problems with the WiFi after updating the Andriod. Everytime I try to connect to my home-network i get that it failed to connect.
The phone didn't have any problems with this before the update.
Anyone had the same kind of problem, or anyone that has a smart fix for it?
got the x10 linked to my wireless network to do the usual things. I have my pc upstairs and downstairs hard wired but want to be able to listen/stream from either of the two computers to my x10 via wifi. I'm using windows 7. I can see my x10 listed within the router config but other than that can't get any further.

Unfortunetly for us x10 users aren't able to connect to these by default. Your instructions on how to connect may tell you to change the EAP type to PEAP which isn't able to be changed in the x10's 1.6 gui. However it is able to be changed with the help of an app.WiFi Advanced Configuration Editor (or WiFiACE) is able to modify these settings for you. I have prepared a step by step guide to help you get connected to your network.

View 11 Replies View RelatedTimescape used to work fine but now everytime I try to update facebook it with "Could not update from Facebook - could not connect to the internet." I've seen discussed on other forums about the notification displaying even thouh the update was successful - in ny case it actually does fail. My phone's internet settings are unlikely to be the problem as i have had no difficulty watching HD streaming video connecting through Optus Australia 3G.
I've tried signing out of the facebook ap and also signing out from facebook in the browser just in case facbook was denying the connection - this did not fix it. I've tried deleting the timescape facebook service account and adding it again - didn't fix. I have also gone into Manage Applicatons and hit 'Clear data' for timescape - also didn't fix.
I have had no problems in the last 6 months connecting my evo to my uverse router until yesterday. I went out of town for the weekend and ever since I have returned my phone will not connect to my router.I have "forgotten" the network and re-entered the password but that didn't fix the problem either.It just says "obtaining IP address".

The EVO 4g says it is connected to my network OK, but the phone doesn't appear as a device or drive anywhere on the network where I can see it. USB connection works OK.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI had mine X10i over 4 months now, no matter how I updated the version or reset the device back to factory default, the WiFi still did not work properly unless I re-start the device. The WiFi only can be turn on is when the device just turned on. If the WiFi connection got disconnected or was being turned off, then it can NEVER be connect it back or NEVER can be turn back on. This is killing me that I have to at least re-start my phone twice a day. Another thing is that if I don't turn on my WiFi at the time the device was turned on, then I never could be able to turn on the WiFi again. What is the issue with this function?

View 10 Replies View RelatedI had a new phone that the phone company forced me to block by not giving me the correct code for unlock (which I paid the phone company for), and they said sorry and after 5 mths with a new phone in a box (while in another country and not being able to use it), they decided to exchange the phone. They exchanged the phone and wouldnt give me a new one since the original problem wasn't reported before 7 days after purchase, but 9 days pff. The exchange is refurbished or something but is perfectly new looking and works amazingly well.
It connected to like 2-3 networks while I was away in that country getting the phone changed and now I'm back home and it will not connect to my home connection. I have changed every thing around and back and I have verified all settings, WiFi on and off. Hard reset - it will not connect. It says searching and then connection and then disconnected etc. Doesn't even say obtaining IP addy or anything. It doesn't say anything or give errors at all, it just will not connect.
I have successfully connected to netbook for file transfer with X10 but don't know how to connect to use phone as wireless cpnnection for mobile browsing.

I had a software update come through recently which told me I needed to go to the Sony Ericsson website to update it.. I tried to do this and it appears I can only update it using a PC as its not compatiable with a Mac computer (which I have). I have tried running the software update on the phone and as it can't connect to the internet it wint update anything.. so Im stuck in a circle now.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI enjoyed my wifi internet with X10 when i first installed my wifi router, and as well as my other devices.However, my X10 is not working at all with my home wifi at all anymore, well.. you can imagine that my all other devices are working perfectly. also, I have tested in my parents, in-laws, at work, Mccas or wherever I could test my wifi on X10 works. but not at home.I am just thinking it's maybe the network setup.. or something.. but how come all other devices are working fine? and all my test places have passed?
