Can somebody tell me why can't I connect to my home network? the Wi-Fi is enabled, I found my home network, entered the password, pressed connect and nothing.

I've experienced quite a lot of problems with the WiFi after updating the Andriod. Everytime I try to connect to my home-network i get that it failed to connect.
The phone didn't have any problems with this before the update.
Anyone had the same kind of problem, or anyone that has a smart fix for it?
I upgraded my XPERIA Mini X10 to Android 2.1 Since then it does not connect to wifi at home. It used to connect very well in the past (in Android 1.6). Interestingly it connects to wiki in my school network. At home, it scans, finds the network, says "connecting" and goes to "Disconnected" status. Setting static IP does not work, selecting Wifi network and Connect does not work.

Unfortunetly for us x10 users aren't able to connect to these by default. Your instructions on how to connect may tell you to change the EAP type to PEAP which isn't able to be changed in the x10's 1.6 gui. However it is able to be changed with the help of an app.WiFi Advanced Configuration Editor (or WiFiACE) is able to modify these settings for you. I have prepared a step by step guide to help you get connected to your network.

Then I notice it says no phone connected. So I click how to connect I then get to stage two and it says connect usb cable to your computer and then to your phone so I do that and nothing happens. I wait 30 seconds and nothing happens I disconnect my phone and connect it again and still nothing happens all its doing is charging my phone. I've done it over and over again and nothing happens.

View 10 Replies View RelatedChecking out media players, I downloaded Zimly and Mixzing (thanks suze!) to compare. Both installed instantly but only Zimly appeared as an icon on the home screen. When I go to Settings>Applications>Manage applications they are both listed as installed, however I need to have Mixzing drop its icon for me to be able to use it from reviews etc I actually think that's the one I'll be keeping anyway, a clear case of sod's Law that of the two that one would be the one with a problem! I have uninstalled and reinstalled twice, same result.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have x10 mini 2.1 since I updated to 2.1 any long press on home screen or corner icons goes directly to edit either widgets or icons depending wich screen I have up.This is anoying because many times I press just a little too long and for example end up in the edit icons mode instead of opening messages like I wanted to. Is there anyway to get this as it was on 1.6? Long press didnt open edit, the only way to open edit was trough menu key.

But...
After the phone has been off, the camera works fine the first time I start it.
And if I close the camera application and start it again straight away it also works fine.
But if I wait for maybe half an hour or more and then open the camera application, the phone reboots itself.
This is very repeatable and it looks like there's something wrong in the software or so.

It has a problem that every few days or so the screen locks up and becomes unresponsive and the only way to reset it is to do a battery pull. My question basically is should I take it back to the shop, or is it likely to need to have android reinstalled or something?
It did this on the very first startup after unboxing, it froze up when choosing the language setting, so obviously it is unrelated to any other apps i have installed. At the time I didnt think it was too much of a problem but then as I say, it started doing it every few days.
