Google Buzz Won't Work on the Galaxy... because it only works on 2.0 and above and Galaxy is 1.5.The list of Android applications that won't work on Galaxy is growing and with it my dissatisfaction.Google Goggles was cool but not something you'd use often, however,Buzz sounds like a useful thing.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have so far found two bugs in Galaxo 1.6.3:
a) Speaker doesn't work in call (very weak). works well in ringtones etc.
b) Scrolling contacts by letter doesn't work.
Other than that this is a leap forward, especially with the overclock options!
Both bugs, as well as others, fixed in 1.6.3.1 update!
I have heard many many many references to 'fastboot' it's obvious it's on the phone, but every time I look at a rooting or firmware update guide, it seems to imply that it's part of the android sdk. 'just go into the tools folder then run fastboot command filename.ext'But fastboot.exe, fastboot.com, fastboot.bat, fastboot.msi. any thing that would cause a command called 'fastboot' to run out of that folder does not exist in the android sdk.So where is fastboot coming from on the pc side of things. where specifically is this component or program gained? should it be in the sdk? I've installed every release of it, it's not in any of them.This lack of 'fastboot' on the pc side of things is the only thing that's stopping me at this point.Where is this fabled, and seemingly non existent fastboot application?

I actually thought it would add home screens to the device (read somewhere that it should have 10) but I can only access 3 (the middle one and one to the left/right) after flashing it - and I am sure Galaxo works fine as the phone information confirm that I am on JC6 with Galaxo.
Any idea how I get the remaining home screens to work?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI've never understood the appeal of Twitter, Facebook, MySpace, etc. Google Buzz caught my interest only because it appears in things I already use on my Droid - Google Maps and Google Reader (via the browser). In Google Reader I can clearly see who I'm logged in as - the name appears at the bottom of the screen; it's my Google Account. I assume this works via a cookie in the browser.The only account I have setup on my phone itself is my Google Apps account, and the email address for this account is different than that of my Google Account.While out sledding with my kids today, I felt the urge to buzz, and attach a picture. I couldn't see how to do that through the browser interface, so I opened Google Maps. It appears that I can post to Buzz in Google Maps, and even attach a picture. The only problem is that I can't see any buzz other than my own via Google Maps, but I can see more buzz via the browser, but none of what I posted.I think somehow Google Maps is using my Google Apps account for Buzz, but it's not actually working. Anyone have a clue as to what's going on here?

People have been suggesting to get the Samsung Galaxy S, that's also out of my budget and looks too much like an iPhone. So i stumbled upon these two phones.I'm leaning more towards the Spica because it has superior battery life, and 800mhz compared to the 528mhz the i7500 has. and it can also play DivX.What's making it a difficult decision is the i7500 has an AMOLED Screen. It can display 16,777,216 Colors while the Spica can only display 65,536 Colors I'm not too sure if that will make a difference. Also it has 5mp w/LED Flash while Spica is only 3.2.One phone has a little of both. This will be my first Android phone I'm coming from a Sony Ericsson W995.

View 12 Replies View RelatedI previously had my wireless working just fine at home but since I changed my subnet, (new dhcp and dns server installed), the wireless will no longer work. I went from 192.168.0.x to 192.168.10.x.
The wireless seems to connect but then when you browse it will not find anything. It is like it still has an old IP and doesn't know the new route and DG. I did "forget network" and reentered the key etc., but no success. Is there a way to investigate exactly what settings it has or reset everything so it has no idea about old network settings?
I have not seen this mentioned but I have trouble with it every day. When I make a call the proximity sensor does not always work. During the call my cheek will pull up the keypad and then start dialing. Sometimes this will happen even if I remember to hit the sleep/wake button as I start the call (to turn off the screen). Very embarrassing to explain to the other party why your phone is touch-toning over their conversation. Does this happen to everyone or just me? It did it with the I4 and now the K4 firmware.

ODIN showed PASS in the window but the phone refuses to boot up. It remains frozen with the SAMSUNG sign. Recovery mode is not working either.
