When apply the white theme, the text views and scrollviews display black background....and its very hard to read the text. The same app works fine on the 1.1 SDK. I am running the application on the Dev Phone (but emulator also have same symptoms)

View 49 Replies View RelatedI have so far found two bugs in Galaxo 1.6.3:
a) Speaker doesn't work in call (very weak). works well in ringtones etc.
b) Scrolling contacts by letter doesn't work.
Other than that this is a leap forward, especially with the overclock options!
Both bugs, as well as others, fixed in 1.6.3.1 update!

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have heard many many many references to 'fastboot' it's obvious it's on the phone, but every time I look at a rooting or firmware update guide, it seems to imply that it's part of the android sdk. 'just go into the tools folder then run fastboot command filename.ext'But fastboot.exe, fastboot.com, fastboot.bat, fastboot.msi. any thing that would cause a command called 'fastboot' to run out of that folder does not exist in the android sdk.So where is fastboot coming from on the pc side of things. where specifically is this component or program gained? should it be in the sdk? I've installed every release of it, it's not in any of them. This lack of 'fastboot' on the pc side of things is the only thing that's stopping me at this point.Where is this fabled, and seemingly non existent fastboot application?

View 12 Replies View RelatedI previously had my wireless working just fine at home but since I changed my subnet, (new dhcp and dns server installed), the wireless will no longer work. I went from 192.168.0.x to 192.168.10.x.
The wireless seems to connect but then when you browse it will not find anything. It is like it still has an old IP and doesn't know the new route and DG. I did "forget network" and reentered the key etc., but no success. Is there a way to investigate exactly what settings it has or reset everything so it has no idea about old network settings?
I have not seen this mentioned but I have trouble with it every day. When I make a call the proximity sensor does not always work. During the call my cheek will pull up the keypad and then start dialing. Sometimes this will happen even if I remember to hit the sleep/wake button as I start the call (to turn off the screen). Very embarrassing to explain to the other party why your phone is touch-toning over their conversation. Does this happen to everyone or just me? It did it with the I4 and now the K4 firmware.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have received my i7500 today and flashed Galaxo 1.6.2 right away. I actually thought it would add home screens to the device (read somewhere that it should have 10) but I can only access 3 (the middle one and one to the left/right) after flashing it - and I am sure Galaxo works fine as the phone information confirm that I am on JC6 with Galaxo.
Any idea how I get the remaining home screens to work?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI just got a GT-I7500 and am coming from an HTC Sapphire. I was able to root the I7500 after following instructions scattered all around the net and am running on 1.6.
There is an application I use called "work mail" which comes on the HTC Roms which is basically an exchange server application allowing me to check and send email on an exchange server.
I tried to installed the mail.apk from the sapphire roms I use and after enabling non-market applications to be installed, I tried to run the installer but it would fail saying "Work Email could not be installed on this phone".
Anyone know of any way to integrate the "work mail" application into a ROM? Or of any way to get this installed on the i7500?

The Samsung i7500 Galaxy is, except the support from Samsung itself, a great Android smartphone with a very good (the best?) price for value. It's with 11,9mm the second slimmest Android phone after Nexus One with 11,5mm (right?) and has unlike the HTC phones a flash light and build in storage of 8GB. On most sites the Galaxy is (one of) the cheapest Android phones, I wonder if it's because Samsung is cheaper or HTC/Motorola more expensive by itself?
I personally would compare the i7500 with the HTC Hero, although in my opinion the i7500 still has a much better price for value.
Is it even possible to define if and which Android phone is a low, middle, or high-end smartphone?
Sure, it also depends for what purposes you bought and use your phone, but I still wonder were the i7500 would be if 1=low and 10=high end Android phone, and if there even is a number 10? I also think that the D-Pad is a big plus and not a minus in comparison to the scroll ball from HTC.
I am currently using Java API to get accelerometer values in 5Hz, which is below my requirements. I want to achieve at least 50Hz. Is there any way to increase the sampling rate of accelerometer?
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhat is your guy's sampling rate on setcpu? It comes standard as 46875.. This is what it means if you don't know what it means.Sampling Rate is defined in microseconds. The lower this value, the more responsive the CPU will be in scaling its speed up or down. However, a lower sampling rate will also negatively impact overall performance.

View 3 Replies View RelatedSorry if this thread seems inconsequential but I have been rendering myselves sleepless nights over the past couple of days ( and nights ) due to my inability to choose between the above two said android phones. I like the i5700 for its zippy 800 MHz processor and that its got the 2.1 update. I like the i7500 for its 5 MP camera and flash + a larger screen to play with I would have gone in for the i7500 but have been hearing about Samsung deciding against not updating it to version 2.1 which can off course be done taking the un-official channel. Moreover the 528 Mhz processor is certainly lagging.
But still I see people in here Going after the i7500 .... Adding to it there is more threads and discussions going around on the i7500 as compared to the i5700. Am I missing something in the i7500 or is it just that i am a stupid newbie ... I have gone through many many pages of information on this thread before posting this query.
Would you have bought a i5700, if you hadn't bought a i7500?

Pls look at this pix, and tell me what can be wrong with this keyboard.
