View 3 RepliesI can get ADB working fine with when my i7500 is configured with Galaxo but I cannot get ADB to see my phone when it is configured with GAOSP. Do I need another driver for my computer? I don't think so, any thoughts? Windows 7 x86.
I am trying to push libril.so as per this thread.

i've been scouring all over to find a way to change the boot animation for the latest nightly of GAOSP, or for any Galaxy ROM for that matter. i've gotten a few apps from the Market, but aren't completely sold on their custom animations. since most of the custom animations i like are for other devices, what do i need to alter in the desc.txt file in order to get them to work? can i just download any zip that i do find that i like and just replace the file and reflash the GAOSP ROM?
View 10 Replies View RelatedI am using GAOSP B2 and when I make try to make a call it dials out but the screen goes black and the only way to get out is to remove the battery. Strange the first call I made with this ROM was fine. Anyone else have this issue?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI received a used handset from ebay (for a fantastic price!) and it has an outdated version of Galaxo ROM on it. I want to return to the latest official Samsung ROM (whichever that is), so that i can then do some comparison benchmarks before moving to the latest GAOSP. Can anyone help me with a couple of questions?
1) How to return to a stock ROM from Galaxo ROM?
2) Where can I obtain the latest ROM and which is it? Intended use is in UK.
3) Does anyone have any idea about when the next GAOSP (full) Beta will be?
PS: I have never done this process, so please humour me and give me detailed instructions ..
The Android 2.0 sticky thread seems to have digressed from the original subject somewhat and I can't seem to find the very latest news on how the GAOSP port to 2.1 for Galaxy is going since drakaz got the 29 sources....
Anyone heard anything, got any links etc to where the latest news is?
The usual places I look don't seem to change much these days... all quiet means people are working hard on it?
first of all let me just say that beta2 is superb i just have one problem with it whenever i'm in a call (reciving or dialing) the screen goes blank and i cant wake up the phone not the end call button and not the open (side) button the only ways i can wake it up is by getting another call or rebooting
any way to work around it? i have tryed several screen on pogs from the market but no luck there without it i would use it everyday, its much much better then galaxo.
Can't get it to work. When I try to Swype I get the blue box of doom.

View 2 Replies View RelatedAlright this may have been asked a few times, or maybe it could not of been asked. I just can't find the thread related to answering this question.
Okay so my question is, can I flash Galaxo 1.6.2 or GAOSP "without" ODIN flashing or updating my firmware to 1.6? and not then what consequences would occur if I don't flash firmware update before GALAXO 1.6.2 flash. My phone firmware version is I7500ZHJA1 and I believe that is the latest firmware for my region which is still Android 1.5.
These packages are alternative gapps. These Gapps should improve performance. On top of that all apps are up to date (like YouTube). Ultra Light version will also remove unnecessary preinstalled apps like yaam, DSP Audio Manager and so on (and some more gapps of course).

View 1 Replies View RelatedI seem to have noticed when I start the day. Use Astro File Manager's Prcoess Viewer to shutdown every task on my phone to conserve battery. All that is usually left running is Dialer, Android system, and android keyboard. I have used APN droid to shut off the internet and I use the power widget to turn off syncs and GPS. Even so at the end of the day, I check the process manager to see that maps and my uploads are running even though I have not used the phone. I was just wondering if there is a reason for this and if so does it affect battery life?
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I'm using the navigation feature in my galaxy s the screen will turn itself off after some time. The time it takes for the back light to turn off vary each time. The time out setting goes from like 10 seconds to 30 mins, there us no option for never. Is there a way to keep it on? Its very frustrating on long journeys when the screen keeps going off.

View 1 Replies View RelatedDoes GAOSP Froyo support live wallpapers for i7500? If yes, can you recommend some that seem to run fine without (major) slowdown? I would suspect that the CPU is too slow to run most live wallpapers, but there might be some neat ones that are good to go?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI am using Sygic Mobile Maps 10 on my N1 and now got if for my girlfriend's i7500. It installed fine but when I start it up and try to activate a map, the screen where it should show the device id is just empty (it shows a -). If I go to the About screen, it also doesn't show a device id. I contacted Sygic already but they don't know anything about the i7500 and Google doesn't really help either. My current guess is that it doesn't work with the internal memory card as the device id is apparently generated based on the sd card's serial number (Sygic used to distribute the software pre-installed on a sd card). So maybe the software can't recognise the serial number of the internal card and hence can't generate a device id...but that's just my guess. I just want to avoid wasting money to buy a microsd to install it on there if it turns out that the app is just not working with the i7500 for other reasons...
View 11 Replies View Relatedi7500 does 1.6 work on this model if so where can i get?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI was originally going to get either the HTC Hero or Motorola Droid but found out they are both CMDA. and the Milestone is out of my budget. People have been suggesting to get the Samsung Galaxy S, that's also out of my budget and looks too much like an iPhone. So i stumbled upon these two phones.I'm leaning more towards the Spica because it has superior battery life, and 800mhz compared to the 528mhz the i7500 has. and it can also play DivX.What's making it a difficult decision is the i7500 has an AMOLED Screen. It can display 16,777,216 Colors while the Spica can only display 65,536 Colors I'm not too sure if that will make a difference. Also it has 5mp w/LED Flash while Spica is only 3.2.One phone has a little of both. This will be my first Android phone I'm coming from a Sony Ericsson W995.

ODIN showed PASS in the window but the phone refuses to boot up. It remains frozen with the SAMSUNG sign. Recovery mode is not working either.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI know Samsung Galaxy is coming out on monday or tuesday on O2 UK,so now when its so close to uk customers i want all of you help me and us decide which Android phone shoul I or WE go for?im very confused at this moment as for me its still unclear how much RAM Galaxy has and whether or not it would be slower or faster than HTC Hero? other thing is Sense UI that Hero has which looks amazing so question for developers or general programmers will it be possible to port it to Galaxy as i think the only differences are presence of Flash LED on Galaxy camera and D-Pad instead of Track ball on Hero. and one more thing how much future proof will both phones are in your opinion as im going to get 18month contract anyway so i dont want to regret in couple of weeks.
