In the thread where some users where posting their screenshots, I saw what appeared to be contacts as a shortcut on one the main screens. I was just curious how or what program is used to do this. Any help? Here is an example.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Sprint Hero and I'm trying to add a shortcut to call the person I call the most. I found AnyCut, but it's not working. I open the app, hit "Direct Call" and then it simply says "No Matches Found."
How do I select a contact? Am I doing something wrong?
Are there any other free apps that I can use to create a shortcut (that I can rename and create a custom icon)?
Doesn't this phone support the direct dial shortcut on the desktop? I am trying to add contacts on my desktop that I would like 1-touch access to but the only way to add a contact is using the shortcut to contact. Clicking on that opens up the contact details and then I have to click on the number I want to call and select call or message. Is there any way to add a particular number for a particular contact directly onto the home screen? I know that the MT3G used to have a shortcut to direct dial option. Is there anyway to get that on this phone

View 8 Replies View RelatedI've found some other threads discussing the fact that the default shortcut for Facebook is actually just a shortcut to a browser bookmark for Facebook. If you delete this shortcut, you can re-create it, but it has a boring red flag icon. With a custom bookmark app, you could restore this original icon... but only if you know where to find it. Where is that icon stored? It has to be somewhere on the root of the phone. Using root explorer, I can't find it. I'm guessing it's stored inside of an archive somewhere. Any ways to search more thoroughly?
Related: can I somehow use my PC (Windows explorer) to browse the root of the phone?
Or, can I find it somewhere in the original .tar file containing the flash update for the phone?
(running rooted 2.1 DD10, FWIW).
I had FB on my phone and when I moved the shortcut from my main screen it disappeared.. Its no where in my APPS, I tried searching for and APP to download but none of them are the same as the one I had on there and I LIKED IT ALOT...
View 8 Replies View RelatedSo i had a hard decision to make when buying a new phone. It was between the HTC Hero and the Samsung Moment. After about 2 weeks I finally made the jump. A lot of the apps are on the I phone and I touch which is pretty cool. But can anyone tell me if it is possible to maybe change the phone kinda like jail breaking? Is there anyway of making the Moment a wireless tether for internee?

Have been searching in Market for a couple of days and don't find! Searched here and only find instructions for adding shortcuts to contacts onto the desktop (which I guess could work, but doesn't look anywhere near as cool!). Anyone heard of anything good?

I mistakenly added some shortcuts of some programs along with the default 4 shortcuts in the bottom of the my desktop skin. Now, I am not being able to remove any shortcut from the desktop. Only way to manage the old digital life Any who, it's a PITA going into GMail and scrolling through the astronomical list of labels to see what's in there. Needless to say, some labels are, to me, more important than others. With that in mind, what I'd like to know is how I can create a shortcut on the desktop that will go directly to a specific label in GMail. It's gotta be possible.

I have not had the phone long enough to have much call waiting experiences but the times I did, I noticed I had to press menu and then go thru a menu to "click over" to the other call. This is g=fine and dandy from the comfort of your couch but is not advisable if you are driving a car. Is there a one button shortcut to go to the other call without having to look at a menu?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI like how contact shortcuts are done in Android 2.1, where you click on the contact shortcut and a quick menu showing phone, contact card, SMS and email are shown. I also like how when you click one of those items, you get to choose, for example, Text Home or Text Mobile. What I seem to be noticing, though, is that if I check the box that says, "Do this action by default" or whatever it is, then it does things by default for all of those actions. For example, if I check that box when I select "Text Mobile," because, really, I'm never ever ever ever going to text someone at home, then I go and select the call icon, rather than asking me if I want to Call Home or Call Mobile, it just calls (in this case, mobile). Anyone know how I can straighten this out and have my "default" only affect the one action?
View 2 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone know how to add a pause to a contact #.For instance I want to use google voice, have it dial my GV#, then pause, then enter 2, then my contact # to dial out.Unfortunately I've not figured out how to program in the pause. On my centro it was easy, just use "p" for pause. So I enter this "gv #, p, 2, p, contact #" and it worked fine. Have not figured out how to do this on the moment as "p" doesn't work.

View 4 Replies View RelatedSo i have had the Moment (on Sprint) for a while now, and there is one problem i can't seem to fix. The phone seems to constantly drop the area code off of ALMOST all messages I recieve from just one specific contact. So when I go to reply to that person, i get a 9230 error (not using a ten digit number) and i have to go to my contacts screen and choose to send a new message from there. Anyone have any ideas to fix? I have tried clearing the cache and using a different SMS software, all with the same problem.

The feature I'm looking for is a screen with all letters of the alphabet and I just single click on the letter to get all the contacts that start with the letter. View 6 Replies View RelatedI didn't like having my phone numbers showing up in my email contact list, so I turned off contact sync and deleted all the phone numbers from my iGoogle contacts. I do not seem to be able to manage my contact list in my phone, however -- none of the default numbers are the ones that I chose for my previous phone and seem to be in a random order -- and I wondered if putting them into google online would be the way to manage them. I don't send email from my gmail account and don't really need them anyway.
I deleted the emails in my contacts and turned the sync back on. However, I got an error message saying that to sync I had to delete 34 contacts. I assumed this was my phone list, and I didn't want to do that! I thought I told it no and cancelled it, but I just went in to call my child's daycare and my contact list is empty. Is there anyway to get that back? Or am I stuck with repopulating the list all over again? Also, do I have to use the online google to manage the contacts? Or is it in the phone somewhere and I just haven't figured it out yet? After this, I would prefer to not try synching them again.
Does anyone know how to recieve contact information that is sent from a Blackberry?I have had several people try and send me other people's contact information, and it is a Vcard or .vcf file and my phone will not recognize it, so the information is not readable and it is making it hard for me to do my job.Can anyone please help me with this issue?

I have lil brothers and nephews who I don't mind playing games or watching movies on my phone; but I don't want them getting into certain "adult" apps or my fake call and sms apps. I believe it's possible to do b/c there's an app called Call Log (Secret Monitor) that has in its description "No icon in the list of applications. Completely hidden at you eyes".
