Ive downloaded and attempted to use a couple of these apps such as Launcher Pro Beta and Helix that claim to give you more launcher home screen pages and I still end up only having 3 home pages (dunno there official names lol). What is the major malfunction? Do i need to be rooted to use these apps or what? Or is there something in these programs settings that im missing?

Has anyone run into any issues? I read somewhere that a guy heard that it might brick it? Any positive or negative feedback? How do you feel it stacks up to something like Beautiful Widgets?

View 1 Replies View RelatedThere is some junk on the applications page that I don't think I'll ever use and would like to delete. For example the Bejeweled Demo and some kind of Nascar thing. I followed the basic instructions to press and hold down the icon until the trash appears and then tried dragging them into the trash but they would not disappear. This works for the shortcuts on the first page but not for the two items I've tried on the application "pull-up" They will select and drag but not delete.

My phone is extremely slow now, force closes often and the battery dies every 15 min. Is there any way to save apps to the sd card?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI downloaded and installed the Lock 2.0 free trial program. Upon install, when I clicked on the "Home" button on my Samsung Moment, a pop appeared with 3 choices:
Complete Action Using:
1) Home (go to home)
2) Lock icon (meaning to lock the phone) - also with a warning - do not use this as default - you had (sic) been warned.
3) a checkbox to use either choice 1 or 2 as the default always.
This made me curious. First of all if I accidentally remapped the Home button the Lock app, how would I be able to remap it to the default "Home" action? Looked in settings and do not see how I can remap Home button. I don't like how a 3rd part app can intercept the Home button and yet I can't figure out how to undo the damage if I accidentally remapped the Home button to the 3rd party app. Anyone here know if this is possible to restore the Home button if you mess up and a 3rd party app maps it by default?
The Android Applications forum keeps misleading me because people talk about apps and features that aren't available in Android 1.5, so I thought I'd ask the other Moment owners about home replacement apps. I think I'd like something, but I'm really hesitant to pay for one that I may not like, and I also worry that I'd not really understand all I could do with one and therefore not truly appreciate it.
I've also seen very mixed reviews on nearly every home replacement app.
So I'm curious about the opinions of other Moment owners on these home replacement apps and also if there are any good places for thorough information on them.
Is there a way to connect the Moment to a home wireless router? We just got our Moments Sunday and have really bad data reception inside the house. I couldn't set either of our emails up inside the house and when we do a search in an app it goes on until we stop it.

And, if *not*...what are the names of the files, so I can rip 'em out?
After doing a factory reset I no longer have some of the apps that came with the phone such as NFL, Nascar, Bejeweled, and facebook. Also I dont have a widget for sprint TV. I am running Zefies cl14 and 10.3 kernel. I did not remove these apps thru rooting. Where did these apps go?

View 21 Replies View RelatedThe house charger that came with my phone in the box works perfect. I plug it in and the phone shows charging and then the screen goes out after the 30 seconds I have it set for while its charging.
I bought a Rocketfish charger from BB to have an extra one I can leave downstairs. When I charge the phone with it, after about 5 minutes the screen lights up on my phone and stays lit until I unplug the charger. Then the phone will go back out like it should.
I though there might be a difference so my nephew gave me his home charger he dont need. Its the charger sprint sent him by mistake for his phone. He has the Blackberry and they sent him the micro-usb wall charger. He gave it to me and when I plug my phone in with that charger the screen lights up and never goes out until I unplug the charger. I dont want to mess up the phone and was just wondering if there is still a difference with the chargers even though they are all micro-usb chargers?
Somehow while my phone was in my pocket it switched from open home as my default home app back to the standard moment home. When I click the home button it just goes straight the the default home, and when I go to manage my home apps it doesn't let me choose clear defaults, it is grayed out.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI just got a Moment and I am trying to analyze some issues to make sure everything is okay. The specific one I am asking about here is that on the home screen when I am connected to my home WIFI it does not show any bars. However if I go into the settings and look at the list of networks, my WIFI network will show two or three bars. What doesn't make sense to me is that when I am connected to another WIFI it will show the same on the home screen and within settings.
I have read that if I show WIFI on the homescreen then that means I am using WIFI and not the Sprint Network. Anyway I would greatly appreciate any help to understand what is going on here.

Every now and then, maybe once every other day?, when I press Home, it asks me which home screen app to use. I always click on the one I want (dxTop) and check the box that says use as default. It remembers it for a while, but it'll forget again.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI updated to 2.1 recently, and I am using Helix launcher with 5 screens. I let a friend use my phone the other night and when she gave it back, it was messed up. I mean, it seems to work the same, but there are 5 small screens at the bottom of my home screen that look as if they are previews/shortcuts to the other screens. I cannot seem to figure out how she got that on there, or how to get rid of it! It's really annoying. Anyone have a clue??

I really like LPB but am not liking how long it's taking to load. I set it as my only launcher in my ROM that I made so I can't go into another launcher and see if it's slow, does anyone think that could be the culprit?
