Jun 28, 2010On the car dock the "Car Home" was default to the home key on the Droid. If I backed out of Car Home to get to an app or something, I would just touch the Home key and it would get me back to car home.

Jan 18, 2010I got my moment about one month. I noticed the alarm clock sometime worked, sometime not. Especially set up run time over 5 or 6 hours. If it passed the setup time, the alarm clock didn't run, but the setup time still showed on the locked screen (before you unlock your phone). It should show the next run time, not the last run time. I use advanced task killer to kill everything before I go to bed. Is that related?

Sep 24, 2010I've had my rooted moment (radioactive froyo w launcherpro) for about a week now and I am having serious problems with the alarm. Specifically, the snooze/dismiss box isn't popping up, or perhaps the screen isn't waking up at all. It happens almost every morning. frequently when I am staying at my partners house and waking up in the wee hours the thing will go off, I bolt up and am swiping, pressing side buttons (they were set to dismiss in alarm settings), trying to smother the whole phone with my hands, etc. More than once I've had to do a battery pull in desperation as she yells at me that people are trying to sleep. The alarm pops up as normal if I do a test alarm set a minute in the future. Unfortunately it is a quite difficult to remember what exactly happens to me at any given 6am. Is it possible I'm not having this problem in my tests bc the alarm is still loaded in ram? What's the deal here? I need a working alarm.

Nov 16, 2009I've used the default alarm clock that comes stock with the phone. Since I only need the alarm clock for weekday reminders, I'd prefer that the pone just vibrates or allows me to choose a more soothing "alarm" tone.
The only tones available for this alarm clock are extremely annoying and loud "alarms" that are not suitable in the classroom. (No, I am not a college student, but rather a principal at a private school.)
There are many ways to make the stock alarm clock work, but I can't find any of these settings.
I'd like to change the stock alarm clock program to simply vibrate with no alarm noise.
I'd like the choice to add a more quieter alarm sound, or lower the sound of the alarm ringer.
I'd like to change the functions of the buttons on the side of the phone--default settings are to snooze the alarm I guess? By the time I get the phone out of my pocket, one of the side keys are pressed, dooming to another annoying sound in exactly 10 minutes.
Samsung Behold 2 :: Clock Widgets Stop Refreshing The Time - Remove Home++?
Aug 10, 2010Recently I installed BHMAN's 1.6 ROM without TW, and I'm having a problem where sometimes my clock widgets stop refreshing the time.
Now i've searched for this problem and usually the best solution to this is to delete any task managers installed, which I cannot because the task manager is embedded into Home++, so I'm thinking the only way to get rid of the task manager is to delete the whole Home++, correct? I'm using ADW launcher at the moment.

Jan 17, 2010I've just recently cast by Blackberry Storm aside for a Droid ErisSo far, the only thing I'm really missing is that my Storm had a BEAUTIFUL charging dock (cradle). It hasn't been easy to find one for the Eris, though I did order one from eBay. What I'll really miss, though, was that the Storm automatically converted into a full-screen clock when plugged in. While I did figure out how to keep the home screen lit while charging, it's not quite as effective bedside clock as the storm was. The similar feature (weather station/clock) on the Moto Droid was the ONLY thing pulling me to that device instead, but I hold out hope that an app will be developed to add the function I'm looking for.
I ordered something similar to this:HTC Droid Eris Desktop Dock - eBay (item 220541737073 end time Jan-17-10 18:15:17 PST)It's not as aesthetically pleasing as my Storm's cradle was, but I think it'll do.Any suggestions for a good clock app or a better dock? The t-mobile mytouch docking station looks pretty cool, but I'm not sure the Eris will fit.

Jul 21, 2010Ive downloaded and attempted to use a couple of these apps such as Launcher Pro Beta and Helix that claim to give you more launcher home screen pages and I still end up only having 3 home pages (dunno there official names lol). What is the major malfunction? Do i need to be rooted to use these apps or what? Or is there something in these programs settings that im missing?

Samsung Moment :: Can Remap The Home Button?
Nov 18, 2009I downloaded and installed the Lock 2.0 free trial program. Upon install, when I clicked on the "Home" button on my Samsung Moment, a pop appeared with 3 choices:
Complete Action Using:
1) Home (go to home)
2) Lock icon (meaning to lock the phone) - also with a warning - do not use this as default - you had (sic) been warned.
3) a checkbox to use either choice 1 or 2 as the default always.
This made me curious. First of all if I accidentally remapped the Home button the Lock app, how would I be able to remap it to the default "Home" action? Looked in settings and do not see how I can remap Home button. I don't like how a 3rd part app can intercept the Home button and yet I can't figure out how to undo the damage if I accidentally remapped the Home button to the 3rd party app. Anyone here know if this is possible to restore the Home button if you mess up and a 3rd party app maps it by default?
Samsung Moment :: Home Replacement Apps
Feb 7, 2010The Android Applications forum keeps misleading me because people talk about apps and features that aren't available in Android 1.5, so I thought I'd ask the other Moment owners about home replacement apps. I think I'd like something, but I'm really hesitant to pay for one that I may not like, and I also worry that I'd not really understand all I could do with one and therefore not truly appreciate it.
I've also seen very mixed reviews on nearly every home replacement app.
So I'm curious about the opinions of other Moment owners on these home replacement apps and also if there are any good places for thorough information on them.

Aug 18, 2010I've got the new 2.2 firmware and I hate the look of the revised clock app. Is there any way to re-download the media dock clock app from 2.1? The red/blue wavy colored backgrounds and the reflected numbers of the clock at the bottom used to look awesome - like a fancy alarm clock, but now with the wallpaper showing through it just looks like a widget overlaid over my normal phone apps. Not to mention I can't find a way to disable to screen saver and have to tap the screen every time I want to check the weather. Makes we wish I hadn't paid for the dock at all now.

Dec 6, 2009The house charger that came with my phone in the box works perfect. I plug it in and the phone shows charging and then the screen goes out after the 30 seconds I have it set for while its charging.
I bought a Rocketfish charger from BB to have an extra one I can leave downstairs. When I charge the phone with it, after about 5 minutes the screen lights up on my phone and stays lit until I unplug the charger. Then the phone will go back out like it should.
I though there might be a difference so my nephew gave me his home charger he dont need. Its the charger sprint sent him by mistake for his phone. He has the Blackberry and they sent him the micro-usb wall charger. He gave it to me and when I plug my phone in with that charger the screen lights up and never goes out until I unplug the charger. I dont want to mess up the phone and was just wondering if there is still a difference with the chargers even though they are all micro-usb chargers?
Samsung Moment :: Changing Default Home Application?
May 19, 2010Somehow while my phone was in my pocket it switched from open home as my default home app back to the standard moment home. When I click the home button it just goes straight the the default home, and when I go to manage my home apps it doesn't let me choose clear defaults, it is grayed out.
