Has anyone run into any issues? I read somewhere that a guy heard that it might brick it? Any positive or negative feedback? How do you feel it stacks up to something like Beautiful Widgets?

There's nothing wrong with downloading the file of a paid app and installing it on your phone, right? Because I did that for a few.Also, what's everyone's opinion on Open Home vs. DxTop?

View 10 Replies View Relatedso i just put 2.1 on my phone and for some reason i cant open the maority of apps i download. most of the ones not working are live wall papers, but there has been a few others. im running helix. any ideas how to load those live wall papers. and why random apps would not open? it takes me to the market from the notification sreen and the open option is greyed out.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI searched and only found a threat for BeamReader, which I downloaded, but I keep running into the same "issue". I have yahoo and there is a pdf file attached to one of my emails. Whenever I try to open it from yahoo it tells me download unsuccessful.I have tried several pdf readers (the latest one being BeamReader), but they all have one thing in common for some reason, whenever I open the application I get a list of folders that are actually my music folders. What am I doing wrong and how do I open my pdf files to read on my Samsung Moment?

I have been reading for 2 hours and I can't find a fix.
I even tried downloading an older version of swupgrade.
I just install the Android Backup from Sprite Mobile and I did a back of my cell phone. I tried to open the file on my home computer to see my call log and I can't open a SBF File. Is there a program that I can open this file with and read and see my information. If not is the a way that I can convert this file in a word format.

Does anyone else's Nuance take about 14 to 15 seconds to open? I would like to use the voice command function, but with it taking this long I end up just using the phone's interface to do what I need, such as calling someone.
Also, is there any way to set the dialer as the default when you press the phone button? It goes to call log first, and I can't figure out how to change it.
Brand new moment as of today, and when I tried to get HTC theme. My brother has it on his droid, but when I open it it says launch error, I also wanted different weather app. Got same error message.

View 11 Replies View Relatedwhen i try and download odin downloader it is saved and when i go to open it it says that "windows can not open this file" then it gives 2 options of use web service to find correct program and select a program from a list of installed programs. The file is downloaded as a .rar file if it matters. This also happens when i try to download the newest kernel.

View 9 Replies View RelatedAnyone else noticed having a problem answering a call when the keyboard is open? My whole system lags and the screen and keys don't respond to answering the phone call. Sometimes I can finally answer before it goes to voicemail, sometimes not. When I test it by calling myself, the phone rings for the caller 3 times before my phone starts ringing, the screen goes dark, and it finally vibrates, not rings, but the time the caller has heard 5 rings.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI downloaded and installed the Lock 2.0 free trial program. Upon install, when I clicked on the "Home" button on my Samsung Moment, a pop appeared with 3 choices:
Complete Action Using:
1) Home (go to home)
2) Lock icon (meaning to lock the phone) - also with a warning - do not use this as default - you had (sic) been warned.
3) a checkbox to use either choice 1 or 2 as the default always.
This made me curious. First of all if I accidentally remapped the Home button the Lock app, how would I be able to remap it to the default "Home" action? Looked in settings and do not see how I can remap Home button. I don't like how a 3rd part app can intercept the Home button and yet I can't figure out how to undo the damage if I accidentally remapped the Home button to the 3rd party app. Anyone here know if this is possible to restore the Home button if you mess up and a 3rd party app maps it by default?
The Android Applications forum keeps misleading me because people talk about apps and features that aren't available in Android 1.5, so I thought I'd ask the other Moment owners about home replacement apps. I think I'd like something, but I'm really hesitant to pay for one that I may not like, and I also worry that I'd not really understand all I could do with one and therefore not truly appreciate it.
I've also seen very mixed reviews on nearly every home replacement app.
So I'm curious about the opinions of other Moment owners on these home replacement apps and also if there are any good places for thorough information on them.
Is there a way to connect the Moment to a home wireless router? We just got our Moments Sunday and have really bad data reception inside the house. I couldn't set either of our emails up inside the house and when we do a search in an app it goes on until we stop it.

View 21 Replies View RelatedThe house charger that came with my phone in the box works perfect. I plug it in and the phone shows charging and then the screen goes out after the 30 seconds I have it set for while its charging.
I bought a Rocketfish charger from BB to have an extra one I can leave downstairs. When I charge the phone with it, after about 5 minutes the screen lights up on my phone and stays lit until I unplug the charger. Then the phone will go back out like it should.
I though there might be a difference so my nephew gave me his home charger he dont need. Its the charger sprint sent him by mistake for his phone. He has the Blackberry and they sent him the micro-usb wall charger. He gave it to me and when I plug my phone in with that charger the screen lights up and never goes out until I unplug the charger. I dont want to mess up the phone and was just wondering if there is still a difference with the chargers even though they are all micro-usb chargers?
Somehow while my phone was in my pocket it switched from open home as my default home app back to the standard moment home. When I click the home button it just goes straight the the default home, and when I go to manage my home apps it doesn't let me choose clear defaults, it is grayed out.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI just got a Moment and I am trying to analyze some issues to make sure everything is okay. The specific one I am asking about here is that on the home screen when I am connected to my home WIFI it does not show any bars. However if I go into the settings and look at the list of networks, my WIFI network will show two or three bars. What doesn't make sense to me is that when I am connected to another WIFI it will show the same on the home screen and within settings.
I have read that if I show WIFI on the homescreen then that means I am using WIFI and not the Sprint Network. Anyway I would greatly appreciate any help to understand what is going on here.
I've already done the update but both pre and post update, my Moment intermittently won't respond when getting a call. The call comes in, I hear the ringtone but no matter what buttons I press, the phone won't respond. I have to wait until voicemail kicks in or the call has ended.
I called Sprint technical support and they're going to send a new (I hope it's new) phone. I hate to set up the phone for the third time. Is there a fix or should I just bite the bullet and get the new? phone? Has anyone had this problem?
What experiences have you had with replacement phones from Sprint?
Should I be worried about getting a lemon phone?
Does setcpu speed up the Moment at all or is its only real use for downclocking to save battery?
