I already have my contacts synced with fb however, my bf has a hero and he is able to see his contacts statuses right from his contacts. Is there a way that the moment can do the same thing? Can I go to my contacts and click on their link to get right to their profile page?

I was one-way syncing my Outlook contacts/calendar (no e-mail sync) to my phone via HotSync Manager; I believe at one time I was doing a two-way sync but there seemed to be some issues so I went the one-way sync route.
Home Computer: I'm running Outlook 2007 (no Exchange) with MS Outlook Connector so I can manage multiple Hotmail e-mail accounts within Outlook. I was one-way syncing my phone contacts/calendar to my Outlook contacts/calendar via HotSync Manager.
my girlfriend just got the samsung moment and there is no facebook app. there is an icon but that just takes her to the mobile site. when i got to the market the "facebook for android" app if not there. I go to appbrain and there it is but when i try to install from there it says the market path is not there.CAN SOMEONE please tell me how to get the app!!!

View 15 Replies View RelatedEveryone I see who has the Motorola Droid has there Contacts linked to Facebook by default it seems. On the my Moment it doesn't do this. I figured it was because I was running 1.5 and the droid had 2.0.
I've updated to 2.1 and still Facebook doesn't sync at all for the Moment. Does the Moment not do this for some reason? Only Verizon network? Kinda confusing that the Facebook app doesn't do the same thing. I have tried going to Accounts and Sync and tried adding Facebook as new account but nothing happens. Once you click on Facebook it kicks you back to the previous screen.
I also installed SyncMyPix but not really what I wanted and Synced a lot of them incorrectly.
Anyone know a way to sync this?
Anyone notice that facebook notifications, just flat out doesnt work on this phone. i've tested an Aria, Incredible, and Evo, and it works on all of those. i've got notifications turned on and everything, and facebook is excluded from ATK but i never get any updates.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am working with a client's new samsung moment. We set it up for google apps email and Exchange sync through Moxier. All was good and well for a few days, and then the Google/gmail app stopped syncing. In All Accounts, sync, it gave the error ' sync is currently experiencing problems, it will be back shortly' We pulled the battery but still does this. I tested other apps that would verify connection - browser, Moxier, etc., fine.
Today the moxier sync for Exchange email, calendar, contacts, tasks would not sync either; just stopped. Again, pulling the battery didn't unstick this.
I am used to the Microsoft phones where this plus a soft reset cured things for a few days. Please advise on a methodology to diagnose.
I have a Samsung Moment & I do have the new upgrade on it. My question is that recently since I have upgraded I've been having issues with loading my pictures to Facebook.It seems it wants to "hang" in loading status at 0% or sometimes will only go to like 18% and stay there.I have to power off & on to stop it and retry.And *if* the picture does load it takes FOREVER to.Before it would just fly right through uploading.Sometimes it literally takes HOURS before it will load.I have tried uninstalling & reinstalling the Facebook app too.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've found some other threads discussing the fact that the default shortcut for Facebook is actually just a shortcut to a browser bookmark for Facebook. If you delete this shortcut, you can re-create it, but it has a boring red flag icon. With a custom bookmark app, you could restore this original icon... but only if you know where to find it. Where is that icon stored? It has to be somewhere on the root of the phone. Using root explorer, I can't find it. I'm guessing it's stored inside of an archive somewhere. Any ways to search more thoroughly?
Related: can I somehow use my PC (Windows explorer) to browse the root of the phone?
Or, can I find it somewhere in the original .tar file containing the flash update for the phone?
(running rooted 2.1 DD10, FWIW).
Okay for some strange reason the default web browser on my Moment has been doing me wrong. Well not wrong but it's acting up on Facebook. I can't access the full site, like I always get the touchscreen one no matter if I touch [full site] or type in the url. Does anyone know if/what other browsing apps are better or will let me accuuss the facebook sites?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've had the Captivate for about 2 months now and during that time, I've never once got the contacts to sync up with my Facebook contacts. I've been to AT&T and they've told me that the phone is so new that they don't even know how to fix it.
What it's doing is taking at least two minutes to try and "sync" and them I'm getting a notification telling me that the sync is down at this current time and should be up shortly. I'm thinking two months is a little longer than shortly.
Removed facebook app and facebook account from Settings-Account and Syng...rebooted phone.
- Enabled Wifi
- Went to Settings-Account and Sync.
- Added facebook account again with SNS settings (syns interval) set to once a day.
- Made sure I saw the two arrows in the white cirkel spinning around indicating sync.
- Held my finger down to the home screen for 2 seconds to add a Android widget - Power control.
- Enabled Sync (the two arrows in the white cirkel spinning around indicating sync)
- Went to Contacts.
- Pressed Menu - Get Friends
- Next screen showed me my facebook account- Pressed it
- NOW I saw ALL my facebook contacts on my screen!
- Clicked CHOOSE ALL and then syn/save
- Checked in Contacts - Menu - Display Options,. that my Facebook account was checkmarked!
I never buy music online. I have a large Itunes library which I use with my Ipod-built from ripping over 200 cd's. Is there a program that I can add to my Moment that will sync it with my Itunes?

View 10 Replies View RelatedThe past few days, my phone has had 3 or 4 times where it has said that it couldn't sync, and it would show one of those Captcha things and make my type in the letters.It was just a minor annoyance at first, but it keeps happening.Then, just now I was in my gmail account on my PC and I noticed that all of my contacts had gotten duplicated, but with a slash at the end of their last names.I don't know if this is related to the above issue or not.Anyone else seen anything like this?
