Samsung Galaxy S :: Unable To Sign Into Google Account

I bought a Samsung Galaxy S a few days back and was able to sign into the Android market via my gmail account. I even managed to download the BarCode scanner application.That's where the problems begun. Since auto-sync was on, all my gmail contacts were synced with my phone contacts. Now since I did not want to see my gmail contacts every time I try and make a call, I performed a factory reset on the phone (since there was no other way to get rid of all the gmail contacts at once). I then turned sync off and tried to sign in to my Google account, but it refused to do so. I get a message saying: "Unable to establish a reliable connection with server. This may be a temporary problem or your phone may not be provisioned for data services. Please contact customer care if the problem persists." I even tried connecting with sync on just for the heck of it but it still did not work.The Samsung Customer Care service in India is truly pathetic. They said that: "We do not provide support for such technical problem" Wtf? They then proceeded to give a regional center number, which when I called.

if you want to use the agenda, you must sign in with your google account, but it won't work cannot give a stable dataconnection or something i tried it with wifi and edge/3G, internet works all the time, but google account won't.

After purchasing of HTC tattoo, i have tried signup in gmail setup. It was working fine. Then i cleaned up gmail & google app memory for another gmail account setup.Now i can't able to sign-in gmail, gtalk and market setup.Can anyone help me to resolve this without factory reset? because I have lot of applications&data inside

Just got SGS2 and for the life of me can't sign in to Gmail, so no access to Market...etc.....after pressing the stock Gmail Client Icon and entering my gmail id and password.....the phone seems to take a couple of minutes to try to sign in and then comes back with unreliable data connection msg...i am using good Wi Fi connection and don't have a network data connection yet.

After I flashed a new ROM for my phone, I can't sign in my google account, though my wifi signal is really strong. It keeps saying :

I am just wondering if anyone else is having an issue when trying to connect to Google? I have had zero luck since I purchased the phone yesterday. Signing in... Your phone is communicating with Google servers and setting up your account. This may take up to five minutes. Then two minutes into it the screen goes blank and I get this message: Can't establish a reliable data connection to the server. This could be a temporary problem or your SIM card may not be provisioned for data services. If it continues, call Customer Care.
Well, after 2 calls to customers care I am still getting the same error. I have full internet access, data capability and even setup my gmail account as the email to use. I can send and receive email/sms/mms, calls, etc... Anyone else have something for me to try before returning the phone to Sprint? (it was purchased at BB).

I just got a Hero from orange, everything is great, I can browse the internet, sync my exchange emails etc however whenever I try to sign in to my google account to use market, gmail etc it says that my sim is not provisioned for Data!

i hve been a consistent user of Sony Ericsson and i love their fons.its simply fantastic i hve used 14 sony ericsson fons in 2 years! and i just purchased a Xperia X10 mini from Singapore when i wen on a holiday over there.now I'm back in india.i can only browse,listen to music,text take fotos and make calls. I can't access the Market or gmail or facebook or gtalk! when ever i try to sign in with my google account it shows some error! i need serious help on this..i havn't evn downloaded the bluetooth settings. please mail me a solution to heyden1993@gmail.com !

I'm an Android newbie - I've just purchased an Android v4.2.2 tablet and I'm having a basic problem that I can't sign in (using the tablet) to my google account, which is not a gmail account: it's xyz@myisp.com. I can sign in OK from my windows-based PC and netbook - but from Android, the email/password are not recognised.
To get going I created a gmail account which enables me to sign in to my new android device: but obviously that doesn't give me access to all my google-related "stuff" that is in my xyz@myisp.com google account.

On my Galaxy S I cannot register the google account in order to use market, gmail application and even such a basic function as calendar application. It keeps informing me that it cannot connect to the internet (and really the web traffic indication is completely dead). That same happens with WiFi connection. At the same time internet is working perfectly on the phone and I registered my gmail account without problems in phone's e-mail application and it works perfectly.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S2 Plus GT-I9105 and only a few hours ago, my Google Account showed "Can't Sync" and "Sync will be back shortly" type of messages. As a result, I couldn't sync contacts, access Google+ and couldn't open Google Play even if there was Wi-Fi.
Note that I don't use a 3G or 4G because those are not available in my country. Also note that every other account like Dropbox, Evernote, Whatsapp and Viber etc work and I am even able to browse the web on the Chrome app. Also the internet connection in my home is working okay.
remove and add my Google account again. I removed my account and after that I couldn't add it again.

I just got my first android phone, a samsung galaxy s4 and love it. I have been able to set it up as I want for the most part. One thing I cant figure out though, how do you set google account sync to only sync over wifi? I know you can go into the data section and choose which apps can update over wifi, but I don't see one for google account sync. Is it called google services or something? In the google plus I was able to set it to update photos and videos over wifi, but what about the calendar, app data, drive etc.?

I got a htc hero on orange a couple of weeks ago and cannot set up a google account.When i try it says "cannot establish a reliable data connection to the server.This could be a temporary problem or your Sim card may not be provisioned for data services.If it continues call customer care".Am i doing something wrong or is their something i need to do to get this working.

Ive just purchased the Galaxy and concerned that i am connecting to internet when wifi turned off. When the 3G sign disappears from my phone I get a 'H' sign, what does this stand for? Also when the 3G is flashing red and green arrows does this mean you are connected to internet. i.e. when using an application? On some applications it doesn't flash but on others it does even games! I don't want to get charged for palying games!

i think my gt-i7500 is bricked. i downloaded the 1.6 firmware(.tar) along with ODIN.. set up the downloading mode and used ODIN to flash it to 1.6. ODIN showed PASS in the window but the phone refuses to boot up. It remains frozen with the SAMSUNG sign. Recovery mode is not working either.

I changed my main Google/gmail account recently, and decided to update my Hero, but having cleared the data from Google Apps (in Manage Applications) I now can't connect my new account due to the problems described here and here. I'm pretty much resigned to doing a factory reset (annoying though), but is there any way I can back up SMS messages? Some data I can extract from the SD Card, but I can't install anything to backup SMS as I'm unable to install anything from the market. So if anyone has any info on either of these issues I'd be really grateful - I'd either like to avoid having to do a reset, or find some way of backing-up without having access to the market.

I finally installing 2.1 with all English menus.that worked in china.However I cant get my contacts and calendar to sync with google.The mail client works fine with no hitches.But I cant add the google account.when I enter in the full server name:

the next button is grayed out.the only way it will let me proceed is if I remove the https:// and then it try to connect.but it then says :" unable to open connection to server"Any help for what is more than likely an extraordinarily simple problem?

Few days ago i had trouble with the keyboard of my X10, it was, for unknown reason, lock in Korean and i couldn't change it.So i decided to reset my phone to factory setup. This worked and the keyboard came back to french.But now i can't access to any Google app, as Market, Gmail, etc.It's asking me to log in to my google account (it never ask me that before, even when i bought the phone), but it's always telling me that my password is wrong and advice me to connect http:/google.com/accounts on my PC. I did it and i can access to my google account without any problem.Then i updated my phone to Android 2.1, but it didn't solve anything, i tried to repair it with Update service and PC Companion, but it didn't help more.I found on internet that i could put "null" as my password, but then it's asking me to reproduce a capcha, i did but it's asking me to reproduce another one, again and again.I noticed than my phone seems to have some trouble to connect with my SIM card, don't know if it's link.I don't really want to send my phone to repair for 3 weeks, but this is becoming really annoying, what can i do ?

I signed into the Email app(not gmail) with my yahoo account and now I can't log out, I searched for a sign out button but couldnt find one, I'd really hate to factory reset my phone.
2nd question: My phone resets by itself each day most of the time when I'm browsing the market, a question mark will appear over the battery icon or a blocked sign(the circle with the slash running through it) will come up, the screen goes black for 10-15 seconds, the home/back/settings buttons are still lit up. Should I just exchange it for a different one since it's been giving me these problems? Also, Inception came on the phone and now whenever I try and play it, it says file not found. I'm thinking of going to the tmobile store tomorrow and exchanging it for a different one.

I was trying to setup google account by choosing "Data Synchronization-> Google Sync" It was asking my google account and I was signing in it says "This could be a temporary problem or your SIM card may not be provisioned for data services. Please try again when you are connected. It it continues, call Customer Care."
In my mobile Airtel Live is active. I tried contacting Airtel Customer Care. They say that "this connectivity problem is with you phone. Please contact Sony Ericsson Xperia X10, customer care. I tried "Sony Ericsson Xperia Customer Care, No Use. I'm tired of doing this and I'm frustrated of not using any useful application by having this costly xperia in my hand.

i got a fascinate like 2 days ago and i set a patter lock to it, i know this very well, its very simple but i was procratinating from my homework earlier and kept entering different patters because i hate homework and i have add. Anyways i did this to the point where it required a google id login. So i sigh and attempt to login, does not work, i try 10 more times before i find out that this is an ongoing android problem. I do a hard reset, still doesnt work. Now 5 hours later im pissed beyond belief wondering why google put so much effort into a dumb pattern lock and why it still does not work after a full restore.

I have added my work exchange email account to my Samsung Galaxy S. It starts to downloads email, contacts and calender entries but then starts to freeze or pop-up screens appears saying that there is no contact with TwLauncher - it doesn't matter if I choose "wait" or "force close". Even if I delete the exchange account the phone keeps freezing and I have to do a phone reset (with all the setting up and downloading of apps to follow). I have tried to set up the account on a clean phone with NO other apps installed same problem. What do I do? Our server is Exchange 2003. It works fine with my colleagues Nokia and HTC phones.

I signed in to Google Play using my own personal email address, as I figured that would be the easiest way to manage my account. Lo and behold, a year later there are now four Android devices on my Google Play account (my S3, a Nexus 7, a 2013 Nexus 7, and a Kindle Fire running AOSP). When setting up these other devices, I could not figure out how to set up my account for only Google Play. I have sync disabled for things such as GMail and Hangouts, but they can still manually switch to my account in the respective apps. I have Googled around and cannot find any solution, though I think some of that may have to do with me having no idea how to word my search queries. Is there any way to set this up, or will I have to make an entirely new Google account for the entire family? I have not purchased many apps (no more than $30), but the two Nexuses (Nexi?) that are not rooted will lose all of their app data.

I have a problem with my HTC magic after clearing the date in the App Manager. This could be a temporary problem or your card may not be provisioned for data services. If it continues, call customer care. Keeps appearing after I tried signing into my gmail account. There is data inside my phone which I wish to keep it. My Backup manager isn't working.
