I hook my phone up to a tape deck adapter in my car to talk on the phone. I hooked the epic up to it today and I could hear the person on the other end talking through my speakers but they couldn't hear me. This used to work on one of the first Palm Pre's I got but when I had to get a new one it never worked again on it.

I am going to be buying a new head unit soon and I have a question. The receiver has an Ipod and usb input. Will my epic play music and Pandora through the receiver? If so, what is needed? Will I use the USB cable or buy an Ipod type aux. cable to plug into the headphone jack? I have plugged my epic into another car with an Ipod cable and it plays Pandora however with the volume up I can barely hear anything through the car speakers.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI went to sleep listening to a 6 hour playlist of thunderstorm sounds in spotify through stereo speakers. My alarm was set to go off 2 hours after the playlist ended. My alarm vibrated, and luckily woke me up, but it played no sound through my stereo speakers or through the phone's built in speaker. Is there any solution to this issue? Ideally, I'd like to listen to the sound of thunderstorms for 6 hours, and then have my alarm play the song that normally wakes me up through my stereo speakers.
I have a Motorola Droid RAZR MAXX although I doubt that's relevant. I'm sure its something to do with the software.
Is there way to setup auto answer while on speakers for incoming calls?

After listening I've plugged headset out and now while I call to somebody I see there is a call on the device screen, but either me, either person whom I am calling to, doesn't hear the other person. While I plug headset again I can hear everything (on the headset), after another plug out problem still exist.

I am able to connect my Fascinate to the Aux input of my car stereo but when I make a call with the cable still connected, the internal microphone doesn't work. I have to disconnect the stereo cable and put the phone on speaker.
Ideally, I want to be able to keep the stereo cable connected and hear the person over the radio, and be able to talk. Is there a stereo cable with a microphone built into it that can be used for this purpose? I had one for my HTC device (Amazon.com: Handsfree Stereo Headset Headphones + Microphone + 3.5mm Adapter Converter + Car Home Charger Plug Port For All HTC Phone Smartphone PDA: Cell Phones & Service) that worked very well, but it would only push mono to the stereo.
My car doesn't have bluetooth so I can't go that route. What's my best option here so I can play music in my car and make handsfree calls without bluetooth?

Has anyone figured out how to do this? When I hold my finger on a text and choose forward, I only get the box where I have to type in each contact individually. Is there a way to show a list of my contacts when forwarding or at least a way to forward to a group? I have groups set up, but there doesnt seem to be a way to access them when forwarding. I have tried every option and every menu and cant find out how to do this on the Epic?

View 6 Replies View RelatedUPDATE: My goal is to get as many future Epic 4G buyers to respond to this thread as possible to show Samsung how excited we are for the Epic but also how upset we are about the lack of key features that are found in the family of Galaxy S devices but not on the Epic 4G.The only way Samsung will consider adding these into a future update (Hopefully the upcoming 2.2 update) is if they see how many people really do want them.So please help the cause and lets try to show Samsung how much these missing features really mean to the Epic 4G buyers!
