I have installed LauncherPro Plus on my Galaxy. It has been deactivated. Can someone tell me if there is a screen that lets you choose between LauncherPro and TouchWiz. I want to reactivate it again. As well, will beautiful widgets only work with LauncherPro Plus. I am specifically interested in the weather application. I can't seem to get it running after it was dragged to the bottom of the phone and deleted.

View 1 Replies View Relatedjust got my first Android phone today - a Captivate. I've been doing some reading and think I might want to try out Launcher Pro (the paid version?) and Beautiful Widgets. I just want to make sure there wasn't a whole lot of overlap in these two products. Do they work well together? Do most of you run both of them at the same time? This could be a pretty silly question as I totally not even sure what exactly both of these apps do.
View 12 Replies View RelatedI loved the HTC sense music widget, but I lost it on Launcher Pro. I was now forced to resize the stock google one to fit the same area, but does anybody know of any music widgets close to the HTC one, with artwork, back and forward?
View 4 Replies View RelatedAll of those with Launcher Pro Plus, check out the update. I bought the Pure Messenger widget strictly to have an integrated Facebook/Twitter feed. I am strictly an idle browser of both feeds - that is, I don't take them very seriously and just scroll through them occasionally. Consequently, I have no need for advanced tools, just an updating feed that I can peruse once in a while. Now LPP has a "friends" widget that is not only a free update to the app, but is faster and smoother than the Pure Messenger widget.
Also, LPP now has customizable rows/columns so you can set as many rows/columns as you want on the homescreens. This is super convenient because I always thought there should have been 5 columns on the homescreens.
I've been running launcherpro on the latest kangerade and I've been having some widget issues. On every reboot, my widgets fail to load, I get the problem loading widgets screen, and I have to uninstall and reinstall the application to fix the problem. Any ideas on what could cause this and how to fix it. Launcherpro and those apps were all installed on the phone. I had a similiar problem with the default launcher, and I must say its the only drawback I've seen with android so far.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI just installed LauncherPro Beta and I am having some trouble figuring it out. All the HTC stock widgets appear to be gone (such as the clock). Is there any way to get those while using LauncherPro or are they only compatible with Sense?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI really like Sense but I really want to try out the transparent widget mods for launcherpro plus (which I already bought). Is there any way to get the launcherpro widgets in sense? I know the opposite can't be done, but I figure since I paid for the extra widgets, it would be cool if I could use them outside of the launcher. And I know, launcher pro is awesome...I have beautiful widgets and I know that is almost the same but the weather animations are a pain because they come up on any screen and in my apps and I have to tap to clear them and then I can scroll. With sense I just unlock and scroll and I like that alot better right now.
View 17 Replies View RelatedLast week I started using LauncherPro Plus - excellent app and everything has been working well. until I installed Beautiful Widgets this morning.
1. Takes a long time to navigate from one menu screen to the next, often with a FC due to timeout.
2. When the widget finally appears on the Homescreen, it can't find my location (yes, I've tried all combinations of geolocation, GPS, town search, etc)
3. Weather will not update and the moon is always showing even though it's midday here.
I was so impressed with the skins for Beautiful Widgets - it's the last thing I need to complete my custom look using LauncherPro, and I'm very disappointed that they don't seem to work together
Every time I reboot my phone, any widgets that were on my screens prior to the reboot will have the "Problem loading widget" message when the phone boots back up. I'm running BBv0.2 with the Clean Black theme by Team Chaos. Using Chevy 1ghz and LauncherPro home replacement. All of the widgets apps are stored on the phone's internal storage, NOT on the SD card. Is this a common issue? I have the sneaking suspicion that LauncherPro might be the culprit. Every time I boot up, upon the initial opening of the lock screen the default Froyo launcher comes up. I have to hit the home button and wait a few moments before my LauncherPro screens come up.

I like Sense, but I also like LauncherPro.. especially the animations when you click the 'apps' button and the menu zooms in and has a 3d effect. Is there anyway to add that effect with out Launcher Pro ?
View 1 Replies View RelatedIm new to android epic is my first and i see a lot of cool things ppl do to customize their phone and im just wonderin whats the best one to use and where else ppl go to get different items to customize cuz im sure its not all in the market....
View 10 Replies View RelatedIt didn't take much time for me to fork over the $2.99 to buy the full version of LauncherPro (avaliable free, however some features are locked). This home menu is incredible. You can literally customize everything. LauncherPro is extremely responsive. I haven't experienced any lag using LauncherPro. My phone is rooted, and I use OneClickLagFix (free on market). I have not tried LauncherPro without the lag fix.
Before, I was using Home++, and was unhappy with the amount of lag I was experiencing. Even with OneClickLagFix, Home++ was laggy. I've tried numerous different home menus, and thought Home++ was the best I was going to get. I'm glad I found LauncherPro.
The feature I liked the most is the dock on the bottom. As you look at the pictures I've provided, you'll notice the dock changes on each photo. You have the option to set the number of docks you want, up to 3. The dock floats, and you can slide through the docks on any screen. I like this because I dont like having all my applications scattered across my home screen. LauncherPro comes with the option to use their custom icons for applications, rather than the default icons. I used LauncherPro icons for my main dock, and default icons for the other 2 docks. You have the option to display the number of unread messages or unread emails. You can see below, I have 2 unread emails.
On my default home screen (screeenshot1.jpg), I've got the Google search widget, Clock widget (free on market), Weather (weatherchannel app free on market), Battery Watcher (free on market) and Signal Strenght widget (free on market). You'll notice I have no applications on my home screen (as mentioned before). All the applications are on my dock. You'll notice that the google search bar doesn't take up a whole row like it normally does. LauncherPro allows you to resize your widgets. Just long click the widget you want to resize, and a resize box will appear. Resize is another one of my favorite features.
I have 3 home screens on my Vibrant, however you can have up to 7. On the screen above, I used the LauncherPro Messages widget. This widget posts all my text messages so I can read and reply to them. To reply, just click on the message you want to reply to. I also have the Power Control widget on the bottom.
On the screen above, I used the LauncherPro Facebook Widget. I find this widget a lot more easy to navigate than the default facebook widget. I resized the widget, because the default takes up the whole screen. I added the Pandora widget to the bottom. Pandora is free on the market.
Finally, the above picture is my application drawer. You'll notice towards the bottom, the applications look like they're folding into space. This is a beta option on LauncherPro, may not work so smooth on some phones. It works great with my Vibrant. It reminds me of the Star Wars introduction. You also have a home key option.
The screenshots and descriptions are some of the major features of LauncherPro. Download LauncherPro on the market, and play around with it yourself. It's easy to navigate. You wont be disappointed.
Definitely slower than TW on my phone...
View 25 Replies View Relatedi got the phone i have not used the stock launcher, i've always used launcher pro, but today i started having force closes, i have turned the phone off, done a battery pull, uninstalled and installed again. View 25 Replies View RelatedI'm using the Fascinate and LauncherPro (free).I've dropped shortcuts (by long pressing home screen, add shortcut) to my favorite Apps around the home screens.Well, after a reboot the shortcut custom/built-in icons 'disappear.' They become stock android icons. After some troubleshooting, I noticed that if I open up the [place where all the apps are stored] and long press dragged them to the home screen I want, they will retain the proper icon after reboot.

View 2 Replies View RelatedSo I searched and hope this isn't a repeat thread. So I never upgraded to the new version of launcher pro and just about ten minutes ago I hit my home button and it automatically takes me to launcherpro.com and says that my current version is expired and to download the new one. Problem is I can't get to the market because my home button doesn't work. So all that works is my browser, 4 physical buttons, and I can pull down my notification bar. So I really need to figure out a way to get to the market or switch to touch wiz.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI have a Samsung Moment, it's running the Radioactive Froyo rom(so it's rooted)...but I cant seem to download Launcherpro. I have tried to download it straight from the market...NO DICE! I went to the launcherpro website downloaded it straight to SD and used OI Installer AND Appinstaller to install...NO DICE! All I keep getting is an error message that says "install unsuccessful". Launcherpro's FAQ says that if this happens then you have an android OS that is not compatible, but says nothing on how to fix or what to do about it.
Searched high and low for help in other threads, but most of them focused on once the app was already downloaded (including the launcherpro website), I cant even get this one installed, I'm really stumped...and I dont want to be "that guy" who didnt do a search in order to find an answer to a simple problem, but honestly, I've been trying for two days to fix this.
Launcherpro Plus seems to be laggy at times especially when pressing the home button while you're in a program e.g. Angry Birds. With touchwiz, this lag is completely gone, making the experience much better. With Launcherpro Plus, I'd have to wait a couple of seconds for the home screen to pop up. Is this just my phone, or is the lag a price you have to pay for an awesome launcher?
