Android : Trying To Make An Application Which Will Upload Pictures To A Website

I am trying to make an application which will upload pictures to a website. I need to let the user browse through the pictures they want to upload and select them. However, when I try to use the MediaStore I always get an empty cursor.
I created an SD CARD image and used that with the emulator. I know one image exists in /sdcard/media. I copied it using an image manipulation tool (winimage). And, I can see the image when I use the command "ls / sdcard/media" in the terminal application of the phone.

Am I missing something here?

I'm having trouble uploading pictures I've taken on my DX to facebook through the "Quick Upload" option.I got a few uploaded, so I know it works, but now everytime I try, the status bad fills up all the way to "Uploading 100%" then it stalls before giving me the error "Can't send response now.Try again later."I've tried turning Wi-Fi on or off, but on both Wi-Fi and 3G it's not working.Thoughts?

I've updated my galaxy grand-duos android from 4.1.2 to 4.2.2..I have had some problems at first..including apps problems every application started crashing..so uninstalled and reinstalled them again & they worked just fine.I still have a problem with one app, which is instagram.Since I updated my android , I cant upload pictures on instagram anymore except for the pictures that were on the phone before the update.I tried uninstalling & reinstalling instagram many time & nothing happened.

So I've been thinking of purchasing a smart phone, although I know virtually nothing of their capabilities.
I was curious if it was possible to write documents/scripts and upload them onto my website straight from my phone.
I essentially want a phone that could best emulate my linux (text-editing and ftp. Even better it has a terminal/Command-line feature), or a phone useful for web-developers. Would the Android be able to do this?

I'm new to all this jargon so please be kind! I want to be able to save pictures from the Internet on my phone when I am browsing the Internet on my phone. For example, say I am on a website and I see a picture I like how do I save it to my phone? You can't click save as anywhere, can you? Is what I'm wanting to do called taking a screenshot? Is that what's it's called on the ipod touch when you click the two buttons and it saves it? If so, I'll go to that thread. Oh, also, when would I use the footprint widget? Does that just save a bunch of pictures for easy viewing?

Just got my HTC Desire. I've finally got HTC Sync working. How do I upload photos from my phone to my PC? I dont want to share them on the web. I just need to get them from my phone onto my PC (Windows Vista) I cant believe I cant figure out how to upload a picture!!

Usually when I want to upload pictures to my computer I hook up my phone via USB cord and transfer them, that way I can edit them and what not. Lately though, every time I try to go into my "DCIM" folder (aka Camera Pictures) to transfer them my Windows Explorer freezes up and I basically can't do anything to transfer my pictures. I have dropped my phone in water but this was a few months ago and every thing else has seemed fine so far. Could it possibly be the SD card?

I'm trying to upload photos I've taken on my Vibrant to my PC. I connect the USB wire, but I can't figure out how to get the pictures onto the computer. Can someone please explain how to get them from my phone to the PC? I've got some really nice pictures taken that I want to get uploaded.

I have always used dropbox and enjoyed using the auto upload picture feature. Well since I have been moving over to drive I am being almost forced to give up dropbox. I am annoying that with my Windows PC that the even the full size auto upload to G+ doesnt show up in drive. Its a completely separate animal. It uploads to G+ but what If i want to use that pic on, lets say facebook, I guess I have to download it to my computer then upload it? since it doesnt just go into a drive folder? any way to make it just go into a drive folder? or what they use to auto upload pics?

is there not a way to upload a batch of pictures to facebook? I'm in the gallery, and I can make it split out the pictures by date; fun...so I click that grouping of pictures and want to upload it to facebook...share only allows to bluetooth, picasa, email, gmail or messaging...no facebook...And if I try to go through facebook app to do it, I can only upload one photo at a time. there has to be a way to upload more than one photo at a time...

Coming from an iPhone I guess I was spoiled because the facebook app for Android sucks! Friend Stream is a little better but you can't upload pictures and don't' get notifications. Just wondering if there is anything better out there?

I have the google drive application on my desktop so that I store all my files both on my pc and in the cloud, but is there a way to have google drive on my phone and to automatically upload pictures I take using the phones camera but not to have all my files downloaded and synced to my phone as I don't need to have all my files in three places, is there a way of using my phone to view all of my files and possibly download them as if they were on my phone but not actually have them sitting there taking up all my space
so it would be like having the gallery I currently have and being able to view all my photos pretty much as normal but instead it is all stored online
when I say files I only mean photos and videos.

I'm trying to upload photos from the phone to my macbook. After uploading several pics to "my T-mobile album" and after emailing them to myself, I notice the pictures are pretty small, 480x360.. no where near what I expected from 5 megapixels (and yes, I have the option set at 5mp). What can I do to take larger sized pictures?
Possibly unrelated, I use the stock USB cable to plug in the phone. The phone will charge, but my Macbook does not recognize anything as being plugged in, so I cannot manually browse around to upload my photos. What gives?

I am new to android and thought it would be fun to develop an app that goes out and checks woot.com. The idea I came up with is for the app to be a widget that refresh woot.com once a day and displays a picture of the item and price. If the widget is clicked on it would open the browser to woot.com. In theory this seems like it would be easy but I am having trouble figuring out where to begin.
