Samsung Fascinate :: Handcent Not Sending Or Receiving Pictures
Oct 28, 2010I have been using handcent for almost a month now. Sending or receiving pictures hardly ever works. Does anyone have any advice?

Oct 14, 2010I'm using handcent and when sending pictures the recipient would not receive them. On my end it says pending and pictures never reach its destination. I have done this with WiFi turned off. Sending text is no problem but pictures is. Is there a bug in the handcent app? Just wondering because its getting frustrating. I have pictures from last night that never reached my wife and still says pending on the status.

Feb 28, 2013I have recently bought the Samsung Galaxy s2 SGH-i727. I used to have a Samsung Galaxy s1. I have my 3G SIM in my Galaxy s2 now and its a 4G phone...will that affect it? Plus i have tried a million different APNs to see if that would work, and it hasnt. Im able to send/recieve text messages, but i cant get MMS. Sep 27, 2010I'm going to post this here first as this may be Galaxy S specific. I have handcent installed and love it. It's been working great. However tonight when I went to test out sending a picture to my girlfriends phone she received two copies of it. It shows up on my screen as me sending one, but on hers as if i did it twice in a row. What I suspect is that Handcent is sending one and the default messaging app is sending the other. When I open up either of them they both show the thread and show 1 picture sent. I've looked through all the menus in both apps and can't figure out what the problem is.

Aug 21, 2010So today I tried using the Google Talk app with a friend of mine who was at his computer. I could see he was online and so could he, and he could receive the messages I sent him. However, I couldn't receive any messages he sent me (which was unfortunate since I set up a really cool Beach Boys ringtone to go off for gchat notifications...). Nov 22, 2010Anyone have this issue where some people do not get your sent text messages? I seem to receive text messages without problems but sending text messages does not get to certain people. One colleague at work who is on ATT can send me a text but does not receive mine in return. Similar stories for some other contacts of mine and some are on Verizon as well.

Sep 17, 2010Just purchased the Fascinate, and so far seems like a great phone. One issue I am having and searching around I see others are also having this issue. Issue being that the phone is not retrieving emails (IMAP) from my servers? I have it set to five minutes and I have to manually get them. Does anyone know when there will be an update to fix this issue?
Also one other questions, when updates come out for this phone, are they automatically installed, or do I need to login in somewhere to download?

Nov 11, 2010Is anyone else using handcent having issues replying with the pop up screen? When a message arrives it pops up on the screen and I hit reply but it won't open to allow me to. I have to swipe the screen and either pull down the notification bar or touch the handcent icon. It is annoying. I have tried different settings in the menu but nothing seems to fix the issue. Is handcent compatible with the fascinate? Even when I use the native messaging app I have to pull the messaging puzzle piece to unlock and touch the messaging icon. Please tell me there is a fix for this.

When I am having a conversation thread and I am responding, I open settings, attach, from camera, take a picture, and hit save. Once I hit save, Handcent force closes. I have tried to uninstall it and re-install it. I tried the same thing on the stock app and at first it didn't work but then I went into rom manager and went into JT's stuff and downloaded the stock MMS.apk, that did the trick for the stock messaging app but Handcent is still doing the same thing.

Nov 4, 2010I'm sure I'm missing something stupid. I've turned off notifications in the stock Messaging app (I'm pretty sure). And those look different (they have the green text bubble as the icon). Can anyone clue me in as to what that 2nd notification is below the blue Handcent icon? And can I get rid of it? I'd like to keep the text messages private is why I ask - I have Handcent and the stock Messages under App Protector. And I have Handcent's option checked to not show messages in the bar, just the notification.
