After following the rooting process and installing Titanium Backup and the 1-Click Lag Fix. I decided to explore and I was actually able to remove some of the bloatware apps without being in recovery mode. I just found out how to get in Android system recovery <2e> mode. I have 4 options
1.Reboot System Now
2.Apply SDCardlUpdate.zip
3.Wipe Data/Factory Reset
4.Wipe Cache Partition
If I choose number 4, do you guys think It will destroy my phone?
I rooted my phone a couple weeks back. I backed up my apps with titanium pro and downloaded ROM manager. I clicked "reboot into recovery mode" from ROM manager and the phone went into recovery.
I am now stuck. I have four options:
1. reboot system now
2. apply update from SD card
3. wipe data/factory reset
4. wipe cache partition
I tried option one and clicked the button on the right side of the phone (the "enter" button), but nothing happens. In fact, none of the options do anything. seems like the phone isn't recognizing the enter button.
I have not flashed clockwork mod recovery. I think it probably requires some type of reboot but i don't know the steps.
I was rooted and decided to unroot for giggles. After i did I went to root again and now I am getting this: "E: cant open/cache/recovery,command " When I reboot into recovery mode.

[ROM] 9/3/10 | Fresh Evo 3.2.0.0 | New OTA Base + New Stagefright + New HTC Kernel - xda-developers
I have ROM Manager installed and Flash ClockworkMod Recovery done. I already put the fresh-evo-3.2.0.0.zip into the SD card. Tried Installing ROM from SD card, checking Backup Existing ROM and Wipe Data and Cache and it asks me to reboot into recovery. Here's the problem, it restarts and just stays on the white screen with the htc EVO 4G logo.
I want to make a clean hard reset of my GoClever Tab R974.2 but no matter what I do it won't load the bootloader. I tried all pssible combinations of all 3 abailable buttons (power,vol+,vol-) and all possible pressing times from a few seconds to a minute.I also tried rebooting into bootloader via the ADB but without any luck (device not recognized).My main problem with this system is that I tried to root it and it seemed like it worked, the superuser .apk was installed, however when I tried to start Titanium backup or any other prog that requires root access, it shows that there is no root access. Then I also tried z4root, but no luck either and SuperOneClick just freezes when restaring the ADB daemon.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently rooted my LG Optimus L3-8C (E400) running stock rom and version 2.3.6 Gingerbread (yuck) and I followed all the instructions from this video:
in order to flash the CM9 ROM. Problem is I can NOT reboot into recovery no matter what I do it seems. When I try tp reflash the CWM recovery it tells me "successfully installed!" then when I press 'reboot into recovery" it gets stuck on the LG logo for so long I often have to hold the power button to go back to my device. I even download "recovery flasher utility" found here [URL]....but, whenever I run the app it tells me "no recovery.img" found onexternal SDCARD even though I placed it there! I tried to fastboot but whenever I run CMD it tells me " 'fastboot is not recognized."
Just FYI in case anyone wants to know: For download mode, with the phone turned off, fold the number 1 key on the QWERTY keyboard and the power button simultaneously For recovery mode, with the phone turned off, hold Volume Down, CAmera, and Power simultaneously. You navigate with volume UP/DOWN, select with HOME, Menu toggles to "Manual Mode", whatever that it.

Things appeared to go ok, but now i'm stuck on the reboot screen (have the droid peeing on apple) for an hour now. I have tried to root this phone using Gingerbreak, Revolutionary, Z4root, and a few others. When I search on Google or the XDA website I can't find absolutely anything about an HTC Acquire. It's like the internet thinks the phone doesn't exist? I recently upgraded to it from my HTC Desire CDMA Bravo-c that I had rooted, flashed a custom rom, custom kernel, custom radio, the works.
My friend have a ChiliGreen tablet, yesterday he reboot it after stop all application who were running on it and after the reboot the tablet goes automaticaly in recevery mode and now every time he reboot it goes to recovery mode i make a factory reset but nothing always recovery mode.
View 2 Replies View RelatedAfter installing cwm recovery twice, now my tablet(micromax fun book pro)does not boot..it only goes in recovery mode on starting...Major problem is, in this recovery mode my volume keys have stopped working , only power button works for for selecting 1st option I.e reboot.
So unable to do anything, can't even select a ROM backup that I have in SD card..
Until yesterday if I had an app like Pandora or ESPN Radio playing/running when the screen kicked off the app would keep playing. However, now when the phone goes to sleep everything else gets shut off. I have not altered anything myself per se. Even uninstalled a few apps like AutoKiller [which I had installed for weeks and everything worked fine with it on and installed] but the problem persists and remains. This really perplexes me as I want/need these apps to play with the screen off like they did before. For the life of me I don't know why this is; nor can I find anything in settings to change.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI have a Vibrant. The issue all started when I tried to install the 1.2ghz OC rom onto my phone. I had rommanager installed, and attempted to run it off the SD card, but when my phone booted up it had lost my applications, everything.
The problem I'm running into now is that the phone seems to be unable to use its mass storage. Every time I attempt to reinstall an application from the market it says it doesn't have enough memory. Under settings it says "unavailable" for the internal mass storage.
I tried using the volume buttons and power button to enter recovery/dl mode but every time I do I cannot make selections. If I use the power button to try to select it does nothing. In fact the "up" volume button makes it go down, and the other "down" button also doesn't do anything.
Since I have no applications I can't use clockwork recovery, even though I know I have one. Also, Odin is unable to connect to the phone, so I can't reload factory. Kies also doesn't recognize the phone.
It also won't even recognize the SIM card, says it has no reception when it clearly does.
The screen is off, with the phone left in standby mode. Is it normal for it to die that fast.

I saw where there is an app that will turn off the screen without locking it but isn't anyone else worried that after a few months of use, pushing the power button all the time is going to wear it out? Is there no app to turn on the screen by simply touching it, or touching one of the 4 icons at the bottom of the phone, and THEN moving the puzzle piece?

View 4 Replies View Relatedmy fascinate is rooted and i attempted (foolishly) to replace the default device fonts. however, after following directions and "successfully" completing the steps, my phone rebooted and is now stuck on the samsung reboot screen. i've tried wiping all data, removing cache, removal of sd card, and rebooting and i'm still stuck on the samsung main reboot screen.is there anyway to fix this issue or at least restore my phone using terminal on a mac or command on windows? and if this is possible, would debugging have to be checked because i unchecked debugging after i rooted my phone.

I went to do a hard reset and it did not solve the problem. When i restart phone, i can hear the phone start up music, and the soft buttons on the front work, but all i see is bright white. I had someone call me, and my phone rang, yet all i saw was a bright screen. When it goes idol to black, it wont turn back on at all.

When I try to hit the power button I usually hit the volume button as well because of the positioning so my ringer goes from vibrate to on or changes volume. The power button really should have been up top.

View 7 Replies View RelatedEvery now and then when I get a text and try to reply, none of the letter buttons will work. From what I've tried, the only way to fix it is to exit all the way out of the messaging application and go back in. The buttons will animate like they are being pushed, vibrate, and even show swype trails and word suggestions, but none of my words will show up on the screen.
I haven't figured out the specific instances when this happens. It seems a little random but I think it may only happen when I lock the screen without leaving the messaging application first, I get a text, and try to reply immediately from the app. But I'm really not sure - it might just be random.
