I don't even own a bluetooth headset, but I feel that every time (not sure it is every time) I make a call, I hear a little message indicator while the call is ringing. I look at my phone, and it says "Would you like to enable bluetooth" or something like that. NO I wouldn't, I don't use bluetooth. Anyway to turn this option off?

I tried the one click root on my fascinate. It was successful and the phone rebooted. After it started up, it kept making noise like it was ringing and wouldn't stop. Also now when I send texts, it will send them but it wont show them in the screen. Also the browser says page not available and every time I download from the market it says download failed. Also I have no 3G connection and time is wrong.
View 23 Replies View Related1st, I would like to say that for the most part, Im happy with the Moment. The extended battery life after the update was a BIG plus.But i have a question. I used a samsung m520 slider for about a year before getting into the smartphones. The m520 would "announce" incoming calls.. It was very handy being im in construction and work with my hands all day. I would hear " call from home" or "call from" Whoever was calling as long as they were in my contact list.. Now with the Moment, i get a call and have to reach into my pocket, and look to see who is calling.. Kinda defeats the purpose. with my fingers all dirty, full of liquid nail, or caulk.. hell, mud even.. kinda sucks to grab my phone to see who is calling.. at that point, i could lift it up to my ear and talk. Does anyone know how to make this phone "announce" incoming calls? I called sprint on this issue, after trying to figure it out, they referred me to Samsung, who conected me with a "level 2" tech who told me to call google! So, I did, and google does not support the phone! any one know of an app? or a way to kick this in gear?

I noticed that when you're in the messaging app and you see the different threads, if you swipe left to right on a person's thread you will get a "CALL" button. If you swipe from right to left you will get a "MESSAGE" button.

any insight? I would try to remove the email and start again, but the message pops up so quickly I cant even get to the setting icon.

However, that value can in both cases be adjusted up to 5000. Might be excessive but here's how if you haven't already done it: Open Messaging App>Menu>Settings>Text Message Limit>Tap the number and put in 5000>Set and you're done. **If you put in a value greater than 5000 it still ends up as 5000; must be the limit** With 5000 thats gonna be some really long threads but oh well.

View 7 Replies View RelatedHas anyone had trouble keeping the Fascinate paired with a GM vehicle factory bluetooth? We have two vehicles at work (2010 GMC Sierra and 2010 Buick of some sort) and both vehicles pair and stay paired to the Fascinate. However, once you leave the vehicle and come back later, the phone doesn't automatically pair back to the vehicle. You have to go through the entire pairing process again.
We have confirmed that the GM vehicle paring works fine with a Droid X and all sorts of different Blackberries. Any thoughts?
While in a call I cannot mute the call whether on speaker phone or headset speaker. I have tried soft reset, hard reset and the dreaded factory reset. Nothing, still am not able to mute a call. This will be a deal breaker for me as I need this to work for my job. I have searched for this and pretty much have found nothing other than folks having muting problems when their face makes contact with the screen while in a call. I have no prob with that. As long as I am listing probs that I have found: Whenever I exit browsing the web my screen brightness goes to full bright and will not adjust itself anymore until I turn the phone off and then back on.
GPS takes from 10 sec to 10 min to connect, very sporadic, and the turn by turn Nav is pretty much useless due to the extreme low volume. Why is it that the speakerphone is extremely loud and most media volumes are nearly whisper quiet? 3G is on again off again 50 % of the time and it shows by my time without a signal, anywhere from 25% to 45% on a daily basis. I never had that problem with the Dinc. Never had more than 2% TWS with the Dinc. Not praising the Dinc here, just stating a fact.
dbm readings are way off. Standing right next to a tower I cannot get below a -86 dbm reading. Again not praising the Dinc but it would read -50 dbm in the exact same location. Just using the comparison for myself to determine if it is a prob with the SF. Get a ton of complaints when using the phone outside when there is even the slightest breeze. Folks have a hard time hearing me over the howling wind noise. Very aggravating. For those that are gonna bash, save it. If you have solutions to the above problems please let me know what they are as my 30 day trial is coming up and I am leaning towards a return. This is the 2nd SF that I have tried with the same results also. The screen on this, camera, video pic quality, and many other great features make this a real bitch, but I need first and foremost a phone that I can mute calls on and talk on outside even when its a breezy day.
every time I make a call, receive a call, turn the phone off, turn the phone on, loose service or gain service, a voice says "Verizon Wireless". This is very annoying and I can't seem to figure out how to turn it off. Changing ring tones and such does not work, still says "Verizon Wireless". Is there anyway to turn this off?

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have installed a BT widget and a WiFi widget from the market that are each 1x1 so I could save some real estate on my homescreen in not having to use stock the power control widget that's 1x4. I do notice that on a reboot the 2 widgets appear as three dots for a few seconds before finally loading last, after all the thumbnails do on the home s screen.
My Q is, are the widgets something that are always running and using resources, albeit not a lot perhaps. How else do they compare to just using the slide down controls for BT and WiFi. They are redundant but faster than sliding and then tapping. Also these widgets change color, green for active, red for inactive, etc.
How many Fascinates are suffering from this during calls? I heard it for the first time today and came to the forums and found a few more people who had the same problem. I was just wondering if this is a reason to return it or its a software issue. During calls sometimes there is crackling or sort of reverbing from the ear piece. It usually happens when you are speaking loudly.

However, when I send text messages, the message contacts seems to all the e-mail addresses I've previously sent e-mails to.
Is there any way to get rid of that? And why the heck isn't it the same as my contacts?
