While playing some videos, especially while using the G4TV app, I get an error message stating "Cannot play video". The strange thing is the video is playing in the background. Is anybody having this problem? I would greatly appreciate a solution. I love G4 and AOTS and would love full use of this app.

I have yahoo plus. When I loaded it on my Fascinate it was successful. I went thru all the steps fine. Now when I try to open the email it says Sorry! The application email (process.com.android.email) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again....force close
any insight? I would try to remove the email and start again, but the message pops up so quickly I cant even get to the setting icon.
Anyone else been getting the "network error" message while in the marketplace? I usually hit retry and it comes right up, but what gives? I have seen it more and more with this phone...

I have tried all the 'fixes' mentioned, and I still am not able to download apps from Android Market ('download was unsuccessful').
Anyone else still having this problem? It is getting highly annoying.

View 5 Replies View RelatedBeen struggling with this since receiving my X. Seems like no matter what player I use the playback is jerky. It's very subtle, almost as if the video is dropping a frame or so every second. I've tried the stock player, Astro, Rockplayer, mPlayer, Zimly, Act, and the list goes on and the problem still persists.
I've encoded (using handbrake) with all of the settings suggested on the boards and have tweaked things on my own trying to find the proper setting, but still no luck. The strange and frustrating thing is that the exact same files play just fine on my 1st gen iPod touch (clearly an inferior piece of hardware) and on my wife's incredible. These encodes are of standard def DVDs at average settings (a full movie is about 1.3gb, all h.264 mp4 files.
I was able to improve playback by rebooting the X and then playing the video, but this doesn't seem like an acceptable solution every time I want to watch something. I tend to encode and watch a lot of stuff on my commute to/from work, and I'd really like to replace my touch with the X, but the media capabilities are falling way short. Considering switching to the Inc as I know it's able to play my media properly, but I'd prefer to keep the X for the larger screen size (though the Inc does seem to feel better when using one-handed). I'm on the fence right now, but if the X can't function as expected then it might be going back. Unfortunately I only have until the 1st to return it so I don't think I can hold out and see if 2.2 fixes this issue.
I transferred a few movies in mp4 format for 720p and a few movies arent playing audio. any reason behind this?

View 16 Replies View RelatedJust bought my Galaxy S. Although it is a great phone, the video playback is slightly jittery. Doesnt matter if I view a hd video over all share, youtube video or a playback of a video captured off the phone. It looks slow, and the sound seems out of sync with the video.

Is there any way, whether through a particular media player app or just some special method, to get videos with 720x480 resolution to play on the Moment or is that something that just simply can't be done? I have lots of videos that came already formatted that way and would hate to have to convert them all to play on it.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have put all of my music on my SD card (all 55Gb of it) but only about 300 of my 4500 songs will actually play!Most of them get a playback error.
I notice it groups all of the songs that don't work in a folder with an unknown artist. I have yet to work out why this does this as most if not all of my music has all the track information in it.
I even went as far to convert all of my songs to mp3 to see if that made a difference. It didn't, it actually made it worse..I cannot have my music collection on my phone I am going to sell my S4 and buy another iPhone.
Is there any app or setting to always have a numeric battery icon at the top right-hand corner? Also, would anyone know off hand which video type files do not need to be encoded and which ones that do?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a Samsung Galaxy SII 4G, love this phone. However I have some issues when it comes to flash and streaming video stuff. I can seem to watch youtube videos just fine but trying to go to other sites that have flash or streaming videos, it just doesn't play at all. Also some sites with flash will only show up with a green arrow in the area where there's supposed to be a video. I have downloaded Adobe flash and Flash AIR. Have tried multiple browsers with all having the same problems. I am also having this problem on my Viewsonic G-Tablet.

I noticed that when you're in the messaging app and you see the different threads, if you swipe left to right on a person's thread you will get a "CALL" button. It will not manually load messages. And has anyone else had issues with viewing emails? OMG is it slow. I moved from BB to the Facinate. BB has got them beat by a mile on emails. We won't even talk about syncing with outlook and the salesman at Verizon.I do not have the update as mine will not update which Verizon said SOME are having issues updating.
View 10 Replies View RelatedIt gets to the point of "verifying update package" and then says a bunch of other stuff (can't read it as this step and the next happen too quickly), and then in red says "Error in data/fota/(then I don't know what it says here because it reboots)." It powers back up and then tries to run the update process on its own again. I can cancel out of that and it works fine, but I'm just wondering why it won't update. However, that value can in both cases be adjusted up to 5000. Might be excessive but here's how if you haven't already done it: Open Messaging App>Menu>Settings>Text Message Limit>Tap the number and put in 5000>Set and you're done. **If you put in a value greater than 5000 it still ends up as 5000; must be the limit** With 5000 thats gonna be some really long threads but oh well.
