How it would be possible to stream music from my LG Ally to my car stereo.
I have the Apline CDE 9873, which is NOT bluetooth ready. So before I go and buy a new stereo unit or a bluetooth connector, I was wondering if it is possible to stream music using regular air data to a bluetooth ready car stereo.
I use the last.fm app, but I may also run navigator in the background. Would both (or all multiple sound apps) go through to the car stereo?
I was looking for a bluetooth device that I can connect to my Home theater receiver. Size is not an issue as it will sit in the closet and will be running on AC power all the time. I saw this real cheap device on deal extreme but reviews aren't great. DealExtreme: $12.99 Bluetooth 2.0 A2DP AVRCP Stereo Music Receiver and Handsfree (Black)
I also found this. Amazon.com: BlackBerry Bluetooth Stereo Gateway: Cell Phones & Service . It is made for BB but will work with any A2DP device. A mini usb AC adapter is required for power source. Also found a motorola device for this. Motorola 89015J Dc800 Bluetooth Stereo Gateway | Discounted prices on all Bluetooth Headsets for the All All - shopcell.com
My I7500 is running firmware 1.5 is it possible to stream music through BT to a PC (WIN 7) speakers like Ipod touch? my pc is only recognizing my device but no music is playing i know that the BT in the Galaxy suppose to be only for handset.
View 17 Replies View RelatedI'm wondering what the current state of streaming online audio through bluetooth stereo is, post cupcake. I think the consensus is that it's not currently possible, but I feel like it should be. In fact, it does ALMOST work. Using StreamFurious or Dizzler, it will start to play and stutter a few seconds, then cut out totally. I can hear a song begin to play, but the audio is choppy and then goes out. So, bluetooth seems to be making, but not maintaining a connection to the audio stream. How to remedy this? I want my streaming SOMAFM.COM.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI got my galaxy a couple of weeks ago (cheap enough that it was worth it, despite reading everything on the forums). I'm running II5 and think I might wait and see if 1.6 is released next month before upgrading.
However, some of my music is in m4a format and the music app cannot read the tags. Is this an issue with Android or the firmware and is there another application that can fix it?
I have a few Greek songs that I would like to play on the Galaxy, but it really annoys me that the Greek song names don't show properly. Instead I get a bunch of question marks. The strange thing is that it reads one of the tags, but none of the rest.
View 16 Replies View Relatedso i added album art to most of the mp3s i've got on my galaxy and started the music player had to wait a while for the player to index all the files and i had to start playing a track from each of the albums for the cover art to update i later added a couple more albums to the phone (via usb) and the player had to index everything all over again, only this time it doesn't recognize a lot of the album art it did previously? what's up with that? i'm still on ig9; does it work better on newer firmware? (any word on when a new one is released? i5 is still the newest, right?)
View 1 Replies View RelatedUnplugged headset bug was pissing me off so much that I decided to work with it.
Galaxo 1.6.3.x is really great and kicks ass.
If music app annoys you after unplugging headset just delete it.
Delete from system/app two files:
Music.apk
Music.odex
No need to restart, unplug your headphones and enjoy quiet.
Instead of crappy music.apk use Meridian from market
When I transfer mp3 files onto my Galaxy which is USB mounted I can see the various music albums in file explorer. However, when I open the standard music player only a few of the albums are recognised.
Instead the songs are just scattered under "Songs". I have tried with various music players from the Market but the result is the same. This happens even though the songs are tagged.
Is there any way to make Music Player recognise the various albums?
Is it possible to remove native music player and use Mixzing or some other player as default?
View 5 Replies View RelatedWhen I try to play mp3 files that I have downladed directly to my phone the default music player cannot seem to play them when other applications (like Browser) are running. Music simply quits when I switch to another open application. I do not have this problem with music I have manually transferred to the phone, and the only difference that I can identify between them is the location of the files: downloads on the internal sd and others on the external. Is there any reason why the file location should be an issue?
View 6 Replies View RelatedThe music player randomly starts up when I have my headphones inserted! How do I describe this? I'm watching a movie in Merdian, I change my body position, the headphone jack moves around a bit, then, without any warning, the music player starts playing in the background! Right in the middle of my movie Anyone else seen this problem ? If my headphones are inserted, a small twist at the jack, and regardless of what I'm doing (browser, home screen ...etc) the music player starts up.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm not sure if anyone else has the same problem, but when I have my songs set to shuffle, the player will repeat a set of around 15-20 songs over and over again. I have about 300 songs on my device and I haven't even heard half of them. Is anyone having the same problem? How are people working around this?
View 17 Replies View RelatedSo i didn't put any unofficial software,in other words, everything is as it came out of the store (except lots of apps ofc. the problem is that i doesn't play any sound when i want to play music,or with some app (without headphones, when i have them then it's normal) but when someone calls me or i set an alarm then it plays perfectly normal so i'm confused...it's obvious that speaker is not broken.
Then today suddenly i can't hear anything when i'm in a call, and the person from the other side also doesn't hear me,i also don't know why is that...i'm not an expert for this kinda things and actually i'm quite knew in this world.
I bought a new WEP870 Bluetooth headset. I am very happy with its performance when I am making phone calls.
But the issue starts when I try to listen to music from my samsung. I can't hear any music although the phone and headsety are seeing each other. Can anyone help me on this?
when I want to stream one particular song I noticed that the Google Play Music app downloads and caches the previous/next few songs for quicker access. How can I prevent this? It uses a lot of data and I usually only want to listen to the one song I chose to stream.
For example if I play a 6 mb song i noticed it uses about 40 mb to stream just that one song. Then I selected a different song to stream and immediately went into settings > download queue and noticed it was loading more songs than the one I requested. I only want to listen to the 1 song I chose, so how can I prevent the other songs from loading? As far as I can see there is no way in the app's settings but there has to be another way to stop this inconvenience.
P.S. I have a T999 galaxy s3 running on stock rooted ICS
I have a Ministry of sound radio and it has a usb port.I have pluged in the phone via the USB port and started to press buttons to see if this works. Sometimes it did play music from my phone and most other times it said 'Error'. Is there a way to so it play's all the time when connecting? I Don't want to play through a 3.5 jack as USB also charges your phone while playing your music.
View 4 Replies View RelatedOther threads say that adding mp3 files to the phone shouldn't slow it down. I have only 1gb of songs on the int memory - and the music player seems to take a good 20-30 seconds to read & list what's there every time I start it. is this normal?
View 15 Replies View RelatedSo, this is a specific and detailed question, so I'll try and briefly give context:
I currently have the prior generation of this stereo in my car (don't know my exact model number, but it's basically the same as this deck: Sony stereo.
I connect my iPhone 3G through the usb port and it charges my phone while allowing me to access my library and scroll through artists, playlists, etc through the deck.
I am curious if the Droid Incredible can also do this.
I went into the Verizon store today to try and see if it can work and we had some issues. My deck can access the phone's contents if, when connecting via USB, I have the phone behave as mass storage (the rep was doing it, but said when you connect the phone you have the option to treat the connection as mass storage). So, I could flip through what seemed to be directory folders through the stereo, but I believe I could only access the phone's internal memory. I haven't had an android phone, but I assume mp3's are stored on the microSD. Am I correct in this?
So, is there any way to make the SD accessible through the car stereo so I can play my mp3s while charging my phone through the USB? This is actually a fairly big deal to me as I am in my car a lot and using the phone in this way with my stereo keeps me from having to have 3 different chargers (1 for home, 1 for messenger bag, 1 for car). But, if there's a way to do it, I can get away from the iPhone, and more importantly, ATT.
I know I have the aux input, but I'm only concerned with the USB for its charging properties.
Im thinking about buying an Alpine car stereo with bluetooth support. Will I be able to stream music from my Droid through my car speakers without an aux cable?
View 12 Replies View RelatedMy car stereo packed in this morning, so looking to replace it. I saw a youtube video that showed someone playing videos/music on their desire and the sound coming through the car stereo via bluetooth
Does anyone do this? does it work ok? and do i need anything specific or any stereo with bluetooth will work?
Having come from a N97 the one feature i REALLY miss is the FM transmitter, was brilliant, i guess i'm trying to recreate it via BT.
I have all my music in the cloud on Google music. So I have no songs directly on my phone. Is it possible for me to stream music to my stereo through a regular media streamer such as the Western digital ones, using the Google music app?
I can't seem to find an answer to this. But I have found that some players can't play music from my phone because the music isn't physically there but rather in the cloud. So I'm curious to know if that is an issue before I buy a media streamer..
I've been listening music on my Samsung i7500 Galaxy with headset plugged to the device. After listening I've plugged headset out and now while I call to somebody I see there is a call on the device screen, but either me, either person whom I am calling to, doesn't hear the other person. While I plug headset again I can hear everything (on the headset), after another plug out problem still exist.
