I am looking for recommendations for Bluetooth stereo headset that will not only play music from the Moment, but allow caller ID (so I can see who is calling without using the phone) Mic, and all the appropriate controls. (answer/end, volume, track etc.).

View 4 Replies View RelatedHope someone on the forum can help, as I don't know anything about the possibilities with bluetooth. I need some way of answering the phone while driving. Existing car stereo has external jack input, so I use the Desire as my sat nav / ipod, plugging it into the stereo via two 3.5mm jacks. Thinking of buying a bluetooth headset to let me answer phonecalls. My question is, would this work with the above set up? Or would it try and send the output via the "headphones" jack to the car stereo? Car stereo does not have bluetooth. Just the aux input from the phone (sat nav / music). I don't want the music / sat nav to play into my ear, just phonecalls. I know this is expecting a lot - but is it possible to do?

I have an old Logitech FreePulse Wireless that I use and have tested it with my old samsung p2 mp3 player, no problems there. I also dont have a problem using a bluetooth earpiece for calls. However, I can't get any sound through the headset. It connects fine, shows "media playing through bluetooth" or whatever it says when I change the volume, yet nothing but silence comes out. Also I am on leaked 2.2, dont know if it worked on 2.1 because I never tried.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI recently aquired a HTC Desire froom T-Mobile UK and one of the first things i did was to pair the headset with phone. All went well up to the point of using it to liten to music and video(a2dp), alas that did not work.
Making phone calls work, and strangely enough controling playback of media via the headset (avrcp), but no other audio routed through the headset. I tried a second a2dp headset and it was the same issue. They work perfectly on my other phones for years, the Desire is the first to have this problem.
- So could it be T-Mobile or HTC forgot/screwed-up the a2dp profile?
- Do i have a faulty handset? everything works well.
- Am I doing something wrong somewhere? I went throught the user guide a few times just to be sure.
I have a jabra bt3030 Bluetooth headset. i use the stock music player AND googles Listen for podcasts
since I've installed Listen the play, pause, skip and back buttons only control Listen. Kind of annoying when I'm using the music player. anyone know where in settings I can set it to work with the standard music player?
1. Will a stereo Bluetooth headset work for listening to Pandora on the Eris? I ask because I saw one thread in which somebody said "No Bluetooth for anything other than telephone sound" on the Eris.
2. If it will work, any recommendations such a headset? I'm no audiophile, so my main issues would be comfort and battery life.
I have a Motorola H375 bluetooth headset which works great with the phone however even if I leave the phone on the table while a call is active on the headset the screen will NOT turn off after 30 seconds like it does outside of a call. If I put the phone up to my ear when on the headset it will because of the proximity sensor but that defeats the purpose of the bluetooth headset.

View 6 Replies View RelatedThere has been one thread talking about Bluetooth headsets and it did not receive many replies. There have been a zillion threads about the Moment's difficulty in connecting via Bluetooth ("Paired but not connected").
If your Bluetooth headset works great with the Moment (e.g. connects consistently, good sound quality, etc.) Please post the manufacturer and model in this thread. Likewise, if your headset stinks, that is probably good information also, so post that too.
I have a Jawbone bluetooth headset that worked great on the Moment with the 1.5. Updated and now, when I press the call button on the headset, sometimes nuance voice control will open and ask "Say A Command"... i do so, and most of the time it will just go back to the home page. Sometimes it hears the command and will ask to confirm it. At that point, it just stays there, even after i say "Yes" 55 times, and then goes back to home screen. If I manually dial the number it will route it to the headset and all is well with the world. But driving, this is a pain and crashing is a really sucky option. Anyone else have anything like this happening? Any ideas? I am sure this issue has been beaten like a slow horse but I am tired of swerving all over the road trying to make a call.....
View 5 Replies View RelatedMy wife has the Moment and uses a Jabra BT250v.
She has only had two major issues with the phone ever.
Other than the usual bluetooth just not connecting and needing repair every once in a while, her biggest issue has been when she turns on the headset, the phone automatically dials the last person she called. She has to catch it and stop the dialing.
Do all headsets do this? I did not see anyone else posting this problem.
Anyone have a rec for a good one for the Moment? Perhaps a Jabra or Blue Ant?
(Her second problem is sometimes her face activates the mute while on a call)
Other than that, she loves the phone and I am very impressed with it myself.
It seems like I'm not the only one having issues with my headset not controlling my music. Even when I'm not on a call, the button seems to only want to control my phone.

One thing I really loved about my old Blackberry is I could set up a profile that muted everything except calls. When I go to sleep at night I want to be able to get a phone call in case of an emergency, but don't want to hear my email/twitter etc. Apps going off all night. Is there anything out there for my Moment that can accomplish this same thing?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have installed a BT widget and a WiFi widget from the market that are each 1x1 so I could save some real estate on my homescreen in not having to use stock the power control widget that's 1x4. I do notice that on a reboot the 2 widgets appear as three dots for a few seconds before finally loading last, after all the thumbnails do on the home s screen.
My Q is, are the widgets something that are always running and using resources, albeit not a lot perhaps. How else do they compare to just using the slide down controls for BT and WiFi. They are redundant but faster than sliding and then tapping. Also these widgets change color, green for active, red for inactive, etc.
And so far this phone kicks ASS!! I had one question so far, when I get a call the screen flashes off and on and sometimes I cant see the caller ID. Is there a way to stop this and just stay on?

I saw these at Verizon, anyone use them? Enter your location (Motorokr S305) Any other recommendations? I want good sound quality and over the ear (not buds). Also, and this may be a really stupid question, but is there a way to tell if songs I bought from iTunes are protected before I move them over to my Droid, or is just a 'try to play it' thing?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI was cleaning all the crap off my phone I don't use anymore and I believe I accidently removed the bluetooth software that allows it to connect to stereo bluetooth headsets. I can control the player with the headset, I can make phone calls from it, but when I try to play music there is no sound.
I was trying to reset the phone using RUU, but it reboots the phone and then says it cannot reconnect after that and the software shuts down. I can still sync with outlook, so my driver is not the issue. I am out of ideas.
Is there anyway possible to reinstall just the bluetooth portion of the rom?
Anyone know a stereo headset that will allow me to skip a song when squeezing a button? So far I been using the cliq's headset but it only allows to play and pause a song. I need to SKIP to the next song so I dont have to trun the phone on to do that.

I'm not running any lagfixes (at least nothing enabled via rom-manager for now) and I have a jawbone headset. Has anyone else had this problem, and could I have borked bluetooth with an app/user-data restore (Titanium)?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI just bought a Behold 2 and was trying to use my plantronics 520 headset, but I turned it up all the way and it wasn't very loud and the person that I was talking to said he was hearing static. I have been using this headset with my Blackberry 8900 with no problems. Is this a software problem? May be when we get upgraded to 2.0 or 2.1 this will be fixed? or should I try something else? anyone know what works best with this phone?

I also have a tough time adjusting to the answer button as it provides almost no feedback when you push it. Does anyone know of a good headset (wired) that fits well in the ear (this one hurts my ear).
View 10 Replies View RelatedGot my captivate today, loving it so far, first experience with Android. I was on the phone with my GF today, talking on my bluetooth headset and I was trying to browse the web while we were talking. My connection (WiFi) was being very flaky, extremely slow, or just plain unable to load anything. Turned wifi off and when I tried to turn it back on, it refused to connect to my network.
When I got off the phone with her, I tried to connect to WiFi again and it worked perfectly fine, full speed. Made a phone call to test it out, same result, WiFi extremely slow or not working at all. At that point I thought there was something wrong with the phone being unable to make a phone call and use WiFi at the same time. Then I decided to try disconnecting my BT headset and it worked perfectly. Right now I'm streaming a video off youtube with a phone call connected, but the second I turn my BT headset on the connection dies.
I would like to have a Bluetooth headset with inbuilt Microphone to take calls. I bought a Nokia headset, but noticed immediately that it dropped music quiet quickly and after a while it was impossible to make it work at all. Anyone has a model that works (as in WORKS) with the I7500?
