Do you think we will get any games that will be tailored to take advantage of the Hummingbird processor? I'd love to see what can be done!

Im new here and just wanted an opinion on some info i just received about these 2 processors. I was originally under the impression that the hummingbird processor is faster but have been informed that infact the ti omap is actually a faster processor but lacks the better gpu. also was informed that the memory the droid x uses is faster than the Samsung galaxy s phones. Is this info correct and is this why froyo 2.2 is not giving me any kind of performance boost. the droid x my family has seems to of benefited greatly from the 2.2 update and is making my fascinate look like a out dated piece of equipment.

View 16 Replies View RelatedI thought Sprint had really good nfl coverage. I checked the Sprint NFL app but there was nothing about watching games. I had sprint nfl on my old blackberry and I was at least able to listen to the radio broadcast. I saw a verizon commercial a few days ago that looked like they have nfl games broadcasted over the phone. Is there anyway to watch games on the Epic?

View 16 Replies View RelatedI have been reading reviews of the Sprint Epic 4G with it's Hummingbird CPU and it is showing that CPU to be about 3 times as fast as the EVO Snapdragon even though both run at 1 Ghz. How is this possible? I thought 1 Ghz was 1Ghz?
Although I love my EVO, if I had known the Epic was coming to Sprint with the full Qwerty and such amazing specs I would have waited. Ah well, EVO still rocks but I'll never get used to virtual keyboards with my fat thumbs.
I would like to know which gpu is faster between the iphone and the captivate. I'm leaning towards the captivate and gonna try to get it tomorrow or Saturday, but i also want a phone that could game. the iphone has some pretty cool games and i haven't seen some really fun ones on the captivate. just would like to know which has a better to gpu to game. I'm not expecting some crazy graphics cus i know there just phones, but just wanna know.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI've always said that the Behold2 is a great looking phone. It has software/OS issues for sure. However, I don't use the cube so, that bit of nonsense doesn't get in my way. The laggi-ness does get on my nerves because it slows things to a crawl much too often. Sometimes programs or the TouchWiz slider don't open when they should. Frozen-ness happens too.
The scary part is that I have very few third party apps installed. Sometimes the controls for the Media player don't show up at all. So you can see why I am reticent to install anything beyond what I consider to be essentials so as not to over-burden an already beleaguered setup.Considering these known issues, why were we ignored on the Android 1.6 release? We weren't graced with 2.0 either. Now 2.1 is on the horizon and there is no word about its being sent our way. I'd like to think that Samsung or Tmo wants to keep us happy so that we don't jump ship in a few days. I could dump this puppy because I am within my 14 days and am not a happy camper.
Questions: What if anything will an upgraded OS do to improve the performance of our processor? Or, what improvements might we expect with a new OS release?

I new here & new to Galaxy which i brought a month ago. I am running JC6 Drakaz. I wondering, may be this is a dum question but can the OSX of Iphone can be installed instead of Android. I thought few things are common like screen resolution, almost similar processor speed. With OSX you will get all multitouch, good performance and of coerce ITunes store.

It's telling me, "You MUST specify the BIOS file in the settings before you can play any games!" So I downloaded gba_bios.bin and saved it onto my SD card. How do I get the Bios mounted so I can actually use the application to play my ROMS?

A phone that I actually have been waiting for ever since the IPhone came out because I knew the technology would be where I wanted it to be for the most part (speed, HD, capacity, upgrade ability/customization. View 1 Replies View RelatedMy Samung Epic 4g was working fine until I plugged in the charger and it WOULD NOT CHARGE. tried another charger, nothing. Tested outlet, yes, it provides electric. So I turned off the Epic and IT WILL NOT TURN ON. Took battery out for a while, put it back in nothing.

Has anyone figured out how to do this? When I hold my finger on a text and choose forward, I only get the box where I have to type in each contact individually. Is there a way to show a list of my contacts when forwarding or at least a way to forward to a group? I have groups set up, but there doesnt seem to be a way to access them when forwarding. I have tried every option and every menu and cant find out how to do this on the Epic?

Quite frankly my biggest worry about the Epic at this point is the lack of support in the future, but it def has some features I do like.. (Mainly the GPU / Processing)
