I've got a couple of car chargers from an old Motorola RAZR phone. Will they be compatible with my new Captivate? I just wanted to make sure I wouldn't damage my new phone.

I was wondering if this car charger would work with the Moto Droid. I know the Moto Droid has a Micro USB, and it says mini usb. If anything I might just buy a adapter for Mini to Micro. Anyone have any idea? Thanks all!
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am using the OEM charger on my Dinc and nothing else. I randomly get a message something like, "The charger you are using is not compatible with your device. Remove the charger now to avoid damage to your phone". I have not used anything other than the OEM charger ever. It isn't loose or frayed or bent strangely. It also seems to charge even though the message pops up. For now, I'm using my computer's USB port to charge it but man, that's SLOOOOOOOOW. It has done it since I first got the phone and before I had even installed my first app. It also does it after a factory reset and reprogram. Customer service is sending an aftermarket wall charger free of charge until I can get an OEM unit as they are obviously out of stock.

I ordered a few of the cheapos over at monoprice.com and they are a no go. They say charging but are actually draining the batter instead.
Is the palm pre charger compatible with the evo? I forgot my charger at work and the only charger that I have at home is for the palm pre. The plug fits in the evo and light turns on when charging so it should work right?

I had my phone on the stock charger the one that came with the phone on the phone over night and I got up this morning and and it said the same thing that my charger was incompatible and could ruin my phone. Are genuine ones actually worth getting given the difference in price? View 9 Replies View RelatedI have rooted my captivate and downloaded Barnacle, both the legacy and the beta version and both are discoverable from my laptop and ipod touch but none of them can actually connect, I went through all the settings and played around to no avail. I then tried "wireless tether" app which I can't seem to find in appbrain to link but the icon is the WiFi signal strength bar in green if that helps, the only thing this app does is say wi-fi tethering is on but the device doesn't show up at all. My question is are there ANY wifi tethering apps that are currently compatible with a rooted Captivate?

I use to do that with my Iphone 3g and my battery was still good after using it for almost 2 years.I wasn't sure how the power management was handled on the Captivate meaning is it sucking power from the battery and it's constantly recharging or if it sees that it's connected via USB, it powers the phone from the PC or outlet.

Let me first say, I'm rooted and running a noobnl's Andromeda custom ROM, bloatware is removed, OmaDRMconfigService.drm removed.
3G and wifi off by using Quick Settings (from market) except when in use.
When I first got my tablet it synced all my apps that I have on my phone onto my tablet. All me emails sync up but how do I get it to sync all the new apps again? It's annoying to have to put calendar appointments in both my phone and tablet. Same as every app I download on my phone. I seem to be doing double duty constantly. It did it once but never again.

She plugged hers in last night to charge and it turned off. We thought maybe because it was so warm from messing with it. Well, today it's turned off twice for no reason at all. Anyone else have this problem or have a recommendation? Everything seems ok on hers when we compare our two. Mine has yet to do this once?

Does anyone know why my Droid says the battery is fully charged, 100% (with cord attached), then if I put it in the charger the red light stays on and it charges for another 30 minutes? The app battery status pro (new) also shows a higher voltage when said battery is re-inserted into the phone.
