My friend has a Motorola DROID RAZR and his whole ICS platform looks different and when I say that, I mean his folders look smaller, his whole theme looks different and everything compared to my Samsung Galaxy s2. Is there anyway to make my ics look like his?

Both of my android devicea, a razr and a galaxy tab 7.0 plus,are havingtrouble connectingto our wifi. the tab is on honeycomb, the razr on ics. assigning a static ip addressworks for about five minutes, then although the phone says connected, no connection works. during those 5 mins, i can browse the internet but cannot connect via dlna to other devices. when using dhcp dynamic ip address, it just cycles through obtaining ip to disconnected . i ued to use dlna daily, but no luck now, and the static ip is the only solution i can fimd online. This phone has used dhcp before, and theres no reason that it shouldnt be able to now. Both devices run standard roms.

The initial entry of an event in her calendar is set for the correct time and time zone. When she edits her event the time zone changes which causes the event to be displayed at a different time.
Another user also has the issue on a Droid Incredible, but is not as concerned about it. I have the HTC EVO LTE and have not been able to replicate the issue.
I read this site and thought it could work. We have reset her account, changed her time zone, resynced.
When I first got my tablet it synced all my apps that I have on my phone onto my tablet. All me emails sync up but how do I get it to sync all the new apps again? It's annoying to have to put calendar appointments in both my phone and tablet. Same as every app I download on my phone. I seem to be doing double duty constantly. It did it once but never again.

My brother say this happend when he imput the SIM CODE wrong many times and eventualy the SIM card auto block for security reasons..The strange thing is the phone seems to be "BLOCKED" too because i put another SIM from the same carrier and the problem persist.
I'm got a problem with my Motorola Razr Maxx, it is running only on SAFE MODE. I found a problem with my Volume Down button, so I can't select other option on boot!
Result, my phone is on Safe Mode forever, I can't install apps and some apps are hidden. I can live without Volume Down button, but this phone on Safe mode isn't useful.
There is some thing that I can do? Every solution that I found should press PWR Button, Volume Up and Volume Down...

View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently purchased a new android phone off ebay (it's Motorola Razr xt912).It turned out the front mic doesn't work at all. It doesn't matter wether I use stock android or my CM installation. It didn't stop working, it never worked since I got the phone.
First I noticed people couldn't hear me when I was making calls, so then I tested the mic with a recording application which allows to choose the source mic. While I was able to record sound using the rear mic without any problem (in the app and also using the camera app), I never could get any sound at all from the front mic, regardless of application or OS used. Therefore I think it can be concluded that it's a hardware issue.
I don't really know what to do about this, I could contact the seller on ebay, but unfortunatelly in the meantime I managed to scratch the back of the phone a bit (there is a small but clearly visible scratch on the back) so I'm not sure they'd be willing to replace my phone.It occured to me that maybe I could somehow coerce the phone application to use the rear mic, is this possible?
I see a few antivirus offerings in the market, but don't hear much talk about the need for them on the android platform. Are they necessary? Do they slow the OS down noticeably?

Both my wife and I have android tablets running ICS but different brands..Neither tablet can get to the internet with the Razr M hotspot. They connect to the phone and the phone reports them as connected. But I can't browse the internet. These are not mainstream tablets but they're good ones. They worked with my Droid X and the short time I had a Windows phone 8 they worked fine as well. I've not had any trouble until now. How can 2 droids not talk? I can solve the issue by using windows hosted network and connectifyme. Both tablets will connect to connectify me and get on the net through the phone that way. I'd just like to solve this issue rather than do a work around. Carrying a laptop just to route ICS is not very practical. I've tried everything including third party apps to no avail. Foxfi sucks so bad I had to do a factory reset to get rid of the lock screen password it creates now AND pdanet is now bundled with Foxfi so I can't even try USB tethering. I did try some USB tethering apps I found on Google Play but none of them worked. Both tablets are rooted. So is there a way to replace the network software? Is there a way to upgrade to Jelly Bean?

So I hooked it up and installed the software and stuff. Do I have to use that and WMP to transfer music to my phone? For some reason WMP won't detect my phone, even though the software comes up when I plug it in. WMP only gives me the option to copy to CD, it doesn't recognize the phone as a device.
I have a Droid Razr HD and I can't transfer images from my gallery to my Mac. They aren't in internal storage, they do not show up in mac file transfer download, Image Capture does not detect my phone as even existing, I've already download the Motorola Device Storage...this is impossible!! Ok so i have a Razr Xt912, i have it rooted and running safestrap. Ive been looking around since ive seen awhile back on the portal it can be used with GSM carriers. But the more i look into it the more convoluted it gets. So is it really possible to get it to work on GSM like AT&T and T-Mobile?

I use this widget to conveniently switch off these features to conserve battery life. Every switch seems to work fine except for the Background Data...I am able to turn on Background Data but when trying to turn off Background Data with the widget, although it does appear to be turned off because the icon is no longer illuminated...when I manually go into Data settings, the Background Data is still checked on.... The battery life is definitely better then my old android but I know people getting over 15 hours so called 'heavy usage' If theres anything you see that I can turn off or lessen the usage of something. I feel like I'm either unaware of something running the background that's sucking up battery life like the music player or maybe possibly not getting full potential. I've already done a factory reset and added apps back in slowly but still same kind of battery life. I've turned off date connection and turn on wifi when I'm home and it hardly improves, also use smart actions. I'll accept the fact that I'm expecting too much. But I'm just curious about what other Maxx users are getting?
