I have looked everywhere in the forums and although I know it is in here I can't seem to find the answer to this question. How do I change the home buttons at the bottom of the main screen? I have switched to k9 mail and would like to replace the stock email icon there.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am new to Samsung Captivate. When my screen is locked i see a series of symbols in the upper right corner. I see the same symbols when I pull down the notification bar, right above where it says "No Notifications" if I don't have any. They are @@@^oe@@ I find it very weird. I have been looking and I can't figure out if I can change those symbols or just get rid of them.

This doesn't happen to songs in English, but in Korean (Not all songs though). I tried renaming, changing song info. My best guess is the locale/text setting.

I am a big smiley face, heart, music symbol person. Coming from my bb in the apps I used most like twitter, there were options for symbols. I cannot find not one keyboard that has hearts or music symbols included. Granted I havent tried any that you have to pay for, in fear that I'll be wasting my money. So could someone PLZ tell me if there is ANY keyboard out there that has hearts and music symbols?

View 18 Replies View Relatedi saw a video back when i was debating between evo and epic, and it showed me how to change those bottom 4 buttons (PHONE CONTACTS MESSAGING APPLICATIONS). i figure phone and contacts kinda go hand in hand so its a waste, and i use HANDCENT. now that i have the phone i cant figure out how to do it to save my life. anyone have any ideas?

I got AT&T Samsung Captivate i897 (2.1 Eclair). I unlocked and rooted my phone. I was using simple free phone earlier which doesn't require data plan but after two weeks I bought samsung captivate, AT&T added $25 data plan. I got my phone from AT&T store where my friend works so he took my data plan out of the plan for now but he said they will find out and add into your plan again. Also, He said that they recognize by your IMEI number. My question is: Is there anyway I can change my IMEI number? I was thinking to use my simple free Nokia phone's IMEI number and use it for Samsung Captivate so AT&T thinks that I am using Nokia phone.

In the marketplace I saw a cool windows 7 theme but it said...(the app is by "diceman4") I need another app from the market but when I look for that app I can't find it. I am currently using the Android Keyboard but I want to use the Samsung Keyboard because it fixes common typed errors (although the Android Keyboard Settings says it does too, but it doesn't) However, when I switch to Samsung Keyboard, every letter I press it makes an awful clicking popping noise. I know there is no setting under Samsung Keyboard Settings for Sound on Keypress but there is one under Android Keyboard. I have turned it off but the Samsung Keyboard keeps making the clicking/popping noise.

I recently switched from my favorite keyboard, Swype, to the Samsung keyboard which I noticed did quite well with fixing any typing errors I made because of non-tactile buttons. Any way, every time I go to type in something to search for...I get the keyboard with the "www." and ".com" instead of the space bar. Do I have to switch to the Android keyboard or is there a way to get past this problem?

I found out how to add stuff to the stock android dictionary, but I added stuff I meant as just a test and now I don't know how to delete them.I posted this on xda but haven't gotten an answer yet. Will you be able to use a bluetooth keyboard with the Captivate? mouse? It runs the 3.0 bluetooth, would that be an issue? Can 2.0 bluetooth devices work with 3.0?
