I'm considering the possibility of selling my Behold 2 phone and getting something a little better supported (anything HTC, for example). I know how to flash the ROM back to the Stock, but, how do I re-format/prepare my MicroSD card in the phone back to it's factory settings?
And is there anything else that anyone thinks I will need to do in preparation for selling it?

my sd card has erased and reformatted 3 times. i took my old sd card out of my mytouch into this one. can't remember anybody know what brand sd card comes with the phone from factory? i have a used sandisk 4gb in it.
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo, when i got my evo I took out the 8gig SD card and gave it to my brother and took my old 16gig SD card from my blackberry storm and put it in the evo. now when i plug the phone into the computer I see that the SD card is showing up as Blackberry2(which i guess maybe i named it that? i dont remember) and some of the files in ther are blackberry related things. Should i take off all my pics and music and use the evo phone settings to format the SD card? Does it matter at all if I do or dont?

I have downloaded a few utilities as well. Anything in particular that I need to do to with the phone or any applications that have to be installed first? Also what file format does it use on the microSD card? Is it a linux format?

View 5 Replies View RelatedSso yesterday, my phone did one of the resets on its own, thinking ok whatever (since its the norm now). When it came back up was saying please insert external memory card. Something like that. So again, its crapped out another card. I would have to check my last post to see if this happened with the old phone or the replacement. Its been just fine, now everything is gone again. I know I should back things up but when u have never had this problem b4 its not something that I always remember to do. I now have mine installed in my Captivate and the thing is great. I have 29GB of Music/Videos/Pictures loaded up on it and playing back ANYTHING on my phone is fast and doesn't stutter. I know I had some questions about this so I just wanted to post that yes, you CAN enjoy 48GB of space on a Captivate without worrying about Class size speed issues, worrying about the card being fake, etc. Well worth the 100 bucks. The money you can save from Wirefly/Amazon/Walmart etc can easily pay for this.
I'd like to start collecting MicroSD card benchmarks. If you have bought a MicroSD card for use in your Captivate, please help out.

SD Card Speed Tester - Android app on AppBrain
Run it several times to make sure you don't get a fluke low number (like from momentary activity). If your phone is idle, you should get consistent results.
Then, please post to this thread with the following:
Card brand/model
Capacity
"Class" rating
Write speed (MB/s)
Read speed (MB/s)
Although it's not made obvious, the author has updated this app so that on Galaxy S phones it appends sd/ to the test path in order to test the external card (if present).
This phone has the WORST idea for an sd slot.When trying to take out my sd card, i took off the cover that holds the sd card.I could use some pictures on how its supposed to look when connected. I have been trying to put it back on and all I ended up doing was bending it.I got my hands on an HTC Leo Windows mobile 6.5. Best implementation of an SD card slot ever.

View 19 Replies View RelatedEarlier today I got an OTA upgrade of my Samsung Galaxy S4 to Jellybean 4.3.
Everything is working great except for some reason my external SD card (A 64 GB SanDisk MicroSD) is read only. The only thing I can do with it is to format it. Otherwise all write operations to it fail.
I have tried two different cards and several different apps (Terminal, Astro File Manager for instance) and none of them can write to the device.
I am almost thinking it is a matter of a missing new permission but I can't find anything in the SDK docs about it (If this is the case that is fine because my main use of the card is a home made music player that I've written).
I've tried to do a factory reset on my Captivate and its not working for some reason. I turn off the phone, hold the power and volume down buttons until the phone boots off, at which point I let go of the power but continue holding on to the volume down button.

Any idea how I could edit the APN settings in the behold 2 to be able to use data. I've used the MT3G in the past for a while with no issues but can't find the menu in the behold 2.
Is vibrant running at 1ghz or 800. someone in the captivate forum suggested the vibrant is underclocked. I don't believe it, especially since my quadrant scores fresh out of the box beat out any quadrant score I've seen so far.
