Is vibrant running at 1ghz or 800. someone in the captivate forum suggested the vibrant is underclocked. I don't believe it, especially since my quadrant scores fresh out of the box beat out any quadrant score I've seen so far.

So this is my first Android phone and now that I've messed around with it for the past 2 days I'd like to start over clean. So how do I reset the phone back to factory settings? And will I lose any of the preinstalled programs?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI cleaned a bunch of files with Titanium Backup and have have backups of the uninstalled apps which include my default gallery (I had another gallery app), Homescreen Launcher and some others.
By mistakenly I reset my phone to factory settings and now after resetting I cannot access any functions. Since I had deleted the launcher. I am having the files of the launcher though but since the phone has USB Debugging turned off and Google Account not set, I am not able to do anything!! Is there any update.zip kind of file to reinstall the launcher? I am using Motorola Fire XT311 which has locked bootloader so no Nandroids too !!
With a rooted DROID I do a reset to factory default settings? Will it unroot me? Will it just uninstall all my apps, will the phone open up revealing billions in diamonds? what exactly happens here?

Some folders are...EpicFail, FridayEscape, etc. I thought by doing a factory restore that all data were wiped oud. I would like a clean wipe of the hard drive and reload of the factory stuff. No rooting.

I want to try one of the fixes and want to do a factory reset before I do it. How do I backup stuff like Sims 3 and Avatar and the other things that came with this phone? Will the touchwiz still be there? When I pay for apps, does it tie it to my gmail account so I can download them again later if I delete them?

It said update is complete but it just needs to reboot so i said yes. Now when i switch my phone on it turns on and when it gets to the Samsung logo it just flashes and stays on the Samsung logo. I have tried connecting my phone to kies but i have had a problem with my phone connecting to the computer. I also don't want to restore to factory default because i don't want to loose all my photos.

After I rooted and removed a bunch of apps including system files, and then every time when I power on, it displays "Low Storage Space there is not enough storage space available to complete this action, clear some space and try again" Before remove some system files such as applications provider, kies, kies wifi and etc... it never had any problems. So here I have a question:
I want to restore factory default. When I press "restore factory default", it just restores my settings, or restores all the apps and systems files I deleted?
Is there anyway of saving personal data when resetting to factory settings, especially applications that I have paid for?

I'm considering the possibility of selling my Behold 2 phone and getting something a little better supported (anything HTC, for example). I know how to flash the ROM back to the Stock, but, how do I re-format/prepare my MicroSD card in the phone back to it's factory settings?
And is there anything else that anyone thinks I will need to do in preparation for selling it?
I would like to re-set my Hero back to its original factory settings.

I found that I was only able to set it as the alert for one of my email accounts. If I try to set it up for the other one, it won't take. Like it's only allowed to be used for one or something. There are sooo many ways to tinker the settings!!! What makes for the best quality pictures in indoor, low-light settings?
I always use my cell phone camera as my primary camera. I love my Vibrant, but the camera quality is really making me consider going to a different device.
The micro usb port on my phone has gotten loose over the last few days, and so T-mo is sending me out a replacement phone. I would like to completely backup my phone (ideally to my dropbox folder) so I can easily restore all of my apps and settings on the new vibrant when it comes. I already have Astro, and have backed up my apps to my SD card. But I would like something more comprehensive, say the way Blackberry Desktop software can do a complete back up from one phone and restore it all to a different phone. What backup apps do you use?

I woke up this morning and now my web browser wont work. It opens and starts loading my homepage which is only google and right when its about to fully load the web browser quits. And I know it quits because I have to reload when I open it again. I have tried turning the phone off and on and also making sure task killer isnt doing it.

I'd like to change it so when I speed dial 1 it goes to google voice. I called TM and they said I should be able to change that setting. I installed a new SIM, and I removed TM's visual voice mail. Out of ideas here. I'd at least like to know if it's like this on all Vibrants or just some Vibrants.

I have two photograph widgets on one of my screens, one set up for newly taken pictures and one set up for newly shot video. The only problem is, I don't know how to change the default video save location. I am using the astro file manager and have seen that all videos and pictures save into a file named DCIM on my SD card. How do I change this to make it save pictures and videos into different files?I have made a different file for my videos and manually moved them into the folder but the phone is still saving new videos to the same old default place.

View 4 Replies View Relatedi have a htc magic which i rooted and installed the 2.1 rom. played around for a few weeks and i miss the features i had before and it was making my phone really sluggish. i tried just flashing the factory ROM, Version 3.03.990.6, back into my phone. i ran the program on the computer, followed everything and waiting. half way through the process it tells me theres an error and cant continue. it whipped out my OS and i had to put 2.1 back on my phone. how can i revert back to 1.5? how can i revert it back to factory settings?
