Nexus :: Data Connection Force-restarting

Whenever I use the data connection, the phone crashes and it reboots.Sometimes it happens some minutes after browsing, other times it happens once the packets start flowing, and other times instantly just after a reboot, which forces another reboot again.Some applications started crashing too, mostly games.Since a couple of days ago I've been getting some restarts just browsing on the settings too.I did a factory reset which proved unsuccessful, and I've been wondering how to do a full wipe of the system to reinstall Android and hope that fixes it. However, I fear it could be a bad memory block or some hardware problem that's causing the crashes.AFAIK, there haven't been any incidents (drops, spills, etc), the problem just started happening and has increased in frequency.Also, could someone guide me to how do I reinstall Froyo?

the screen wont respond to anything. and it just keeps restarting itself... and when it turns to the home page.. it always says htc sense failed.

I've tried hard reseting, nandroid restores and wiping all my data but my phone still won't boot. I had cyanogen 6 Rom installed on it and when I turned it on this morning the usual animation came up but after a minute it froze and kept restarting. I then tried all the things above and now it only gets the first solid looking X image and it doesn't move on to the animation. I have a feeling it was Rom manager that caused this as I clicked fix permissions last night.

What's the technical term for being able to have voice connection and data connection simultaneously? Like AT&T was promoting heavily for a while.Apparently, the new T-Mobile Vibrant has this capability. A friend got one and was accessing the web while talking to me, double jealous now.I have benn lusting after the Verizon version, Fascinate, and wondering if there is any chance it will as well.

Imagine the situation that Any data plan is not activated and as soon as u enable the data connection hundereds of thing in android want to connect to internet and when u disable the data connection again . Ur money is deducted.
Now u will ask me if i dont have a data plan why i enable the data connection.?
So here is the thing I want the data connection to be enabled so that i can open free site like facebook on Opera Mini.
So is there any way so that i can enable the data connection but my phone does not connect to internet to itself but i control which app connects. In my case opera mini.

I know there's a way to force the Nexus One to ignore (stronger) EDGE signals and use 3G only. I know this because I've seen several other threads that mention this... none of which I could find through a search, though, now that I need it!

First of all, I have to say I love my Nexus One, I find the phone every previous phones (mines) should have been!
Today I was enjoying my phone and sending pictures to email contacts without any problem, but suddenly I got this "No connection" problem, and I cannot manage to get round it
Have you any clue of how to repair it? I've checked it and my gmail account (from my computer) is OK.
I found the solution. Just have to remove the storage data and get a fresh new sync. Sorry

Any way to disable the fullscreen "USB Mass Storage" popup when connecting to USB on FROYO? Can't seem to locate any settings to turn this off and it's kinda overkill/unneeded everytime i plug in the phone.

I've noticed my Nexus acting a bit buggy since the 2.2.1 update. Lots of force closes with the launcher. (which is exactly why I shredded and burned my old MyTouch for). After FINALLY getting a THIRD 16 gig card, after the other two got "damaged" costing me so far 25-30 gigs of content, I loading it up with movies and songs for my vacation. I go to reboot and it keeps looping the boot animation but wont boot up. Getting really close to kissing Android good bye as I've had NOTHING but bugs and damaged SD cards and an overall terrible user experience for a year and a half with two phones. I know we're only really two years into development but how much longer do we have to wait for a finished product that I don't have to keep making excuses for? More to the point WTF is going on with the boot loader on my phone and how do I fix it?

Today, I was connected to my WiFi at home with my Nexus One. I had to reboot my router, and all of a sudden, the Nexus One doesn't connect to my WiFi. When I tell it to, it just says Connection unsuccessful, touch to try again. I tried reboot my phone and router again and also deleting the connection and connecting again, and nothing. It doesn't connect.

I am running the android-7 ApiDemo sample project on a Nexus One device. I am interested specifically in the Graphics/CameraPreview sample code. The project works fine, but when I select Camera the device displays a Force Quit message. I am not receiving any error information in the debugger. The CameraPreview code works fine in the emulator.

Ok... So, is there anyway to force rotation-lock to turn off on a Nexus 7 with Android 4.2.2?
Reason: I cracked my screen from the bottom left of the screen to just shy of the top right corner. The lower section, below the crack, is not responsive to touch... and the dots I need (I use the pattern pass) are on this side because I can't flip the tablet.
How This Happened: I turned on rotation lock with the tablet upside down to keep it there... But then my Nexus 7 decided to restart randomly and keep rotation-lock on but coming back in the default orientation, aka the wrong way that I need it to be.

I have a droid dna and a nexus 5 and the play games keeps crashing everytime I try to open it in both phones. When the play games app was released on the market i had a galaxy nexus and i had the same issue, since it never worked on any of my devices i was thinking that could be some wrong settings on my google account...

I'm trying to set up a VPN connection between a Linux Mint 10 PC (server) and a Nexus 7 (client).
All I'm getting so far is a "Connecting" status from the Nexus 7, followed after a few seconds by a "Disconnected" one.
As it is my first attempt at setting up a VPN (both on the server and client sides) I was wondering if there was a log file generated by Android on the Nexus that would give me a clue as to where I'm going wrong.

I went to install a theme on CM6 final and now my EVO will not bring up a 3G connection anymore even after flashing a stock rom. It will not connect to data or even show the 3g symbol.
I can still make calls though.
Does anyone know what setting might have changed or anything I can do to get my data back?

When I'm in a call over a month ago, I was able to check on the traffic in the maps app..but now when i try to do that, i get the message "connection data lost" and therefore am not able to check the traffic until I am done with my call. I search and didn't come up with any in call answers.

Even though I have "Background data" and "always on mobile data" enabled, my data connection keeps dropping. The "3G" will dim itself after a period of inactivity even with having three or more bars of signal strength. For most applications this is not a issue but it reeks havoc on Google Talk (have "automatically sign in enabled) and sometimes the Android Market.My phone has been doing this for a while. I just updated to Fresh 3.2 and installed the latest radios. Still having the same problem. What can I do to fix this? Has anyone else had this problem before.

I've got my Desire to allow background sync and auto sync etc, but I was wondering if there was an app that anyone knew of that would tell me which application has been using the data connection and for how long etc? A bit like the battery stats that says which application has been using the battery but for data connection if you see what I mean.
I've seen a few apps that seem to give an overall usage figure so you can track how much data you're downloading in a month but nothing per app.I originally posted this in the HTC Desire section but I think this section is more appropriate, not sure how to move a post so have done it again. Sorry if that's a problem.

I noticed that my data connection is always (3g is always visible). i know how to turn it off through settings, but when i try to use any apps that require internet connection, i would have to go through the settings and turn it on manually. is it possible to make this experience easy? i would like something that can easily and quickly turn the connection off and automatically turn it on when it needs to be on?

All the sudden today i just lost my 3g data connection. I actually saw the airplane symbol for a min or two as well. I toon it to sprint and they couldnt get the data connection back thy tried some kind of "activation" which didnt work then they wanted to have the phone for a day which j cjldnt do today. Now i disabled the 3g on the phone and turned it back off and on again and it said it was runnjng the activation again but this time t ran through and i turned 3g back on and the arrows show up but they never flash but i am on the pjone now posting this.

I rooted and flashed the latest Fresh ROM last night. Everything worked fantastic until about an hour ago I started getting this error: Data Call Failure Error Code 67 .Registration failure. Your PCS Vision username and/or password may be incorrect. Please try again.
I saw some other threads upon googling but they were for other devices and I'm a bit nervous that I'll screw things up.

Even when wifi is turned off, the mobile network gives this message "Use phone for data connection when wifi is unavailable".
My wifi is turned off and the 3G connection is also strong. With this issue, I cannot access the internet as the browser or the app says that there are connection issues

Evo has locked up on data connection.One minute data is working great and then, No internet, app store, etc. and anything I try to do brings up a dialogue box that says retry or cancel, and that I need internet network access. Phone still works, but does occasionally seem to not hang up on first try.
When I go to settings - wireless & networks, it shows a box "trying to connect" but nothing happens. 4g, bluetooth and wifi are turned off. I have to completely restart phone and the data is back. This has happened about 5 times. Phone issue or Sprint issue. I am in Atlanta, and can get 4g coverage around my house and area. 3 g goes from great to low in same spots.

I bought a used working EVO. I activated it and I noticed that when I turn it on, The data connection does not start. When I go into Settings/Wireless & networks, the Monile Network says Connection failed. If I turn it off and back on, it connects fine. Is there a setting that I am missing that is causing this problem? I rooted it before activating so I don't know if I should take it back to stock. But I would prefer not to.

I have a Droid Incredible. Working fine, suddenly this am, after a phone reset, the data no longer worked. Phone and texting are fine. Under settings > wireless and networks > Mobile network it is dark grey, and says "Turning on"..... over and over.
Spent 45 minutes with tech support. Nothing. Did 2 factory resets, checked the network settings in the phone, checked the settings on their end, nothing worked.
So, they say, we will need to replace your phone. Then, we have no Incredibles in stock. So, they call my local store, who also has none in stock of course. So they say they may be getting some in tonight or tomorrow, supposedly they are going to call me tomorrow and give me an update. I wonder if anyone else has had data issues requiring phone replacement? I guess since I talked to VZW there's nothing else that I could check on the phone.

I'm currently using a Nexus 7 (2012 model) running Android Jelly Bean 4.3. I've been having a strange issue where the Google Play app keeps saying there is no connection. This has also occurred in the Youtube app. I have tried changing my time manually, rebooting my device, and uninstalling updates, to no avail. I am currently unlocked and rooted, and using TWRP as my recovery.
