I have a droid dna and a nexus 5 and the play games keeps crashing everytime I try to open it in both phones. When the play games app was released on the market i had a galaxy nexus and i had the same issue, since it never worked on any of my devices i was thinking that could be some wrong settings on my google account...

View 1 Replies View RelatedRecently I've been having an issue with Google Play Music where when I play a song, it plays for a second then pauses, so I have to press play to get it going again. This occurs repetitively which means I can't listen to music.
It happens on songs that are being streamed and on songs that are on the device.
Funnily enough, if the song is played through ES file explorer and the little play music popup window comes up, it plays fine.
I've got this issue on both my devices, a tf101 running 4.3 and a nexus 5 with stock 4.4 rooted.
Edit: just remembered, I've also got this issue with MX Player and videos. I can't figure out what's wrong.
Streamed videos played through the gallery video player work fine.
I have been trying to add a map to my application, I have followed instructions on the android developers HelloGoogleMaps tutorial but my map is just force closing when I run the maps option. I have obtained my api key logged permissions in manifest (Internet, Maps) and logged intent. When I look at the debugger the intent line always shows up but I have put in test code and the intent is fine but it seems to be saying it cannot locate the class;

View 2 Replies View Relatedi have a samsung galaxy gio GT-S5660M Android version 2.3.4 build number GINGERBREAD.MUGKG3 (Stock rom gingerbread ) but it is rooted. ok so i was trying to free up some space on my internal memory and i was using titanium back up and i converted google play to a user app (it took too long so i assumed it didn't work) but i backup the google play. i was able to move it to sd card thought ,but then i still don't have enought free memory to receive text msg (20mb needed) so i did a factory reset which freed up everything. and i was still rooted ( i fixed it) but now google play won't open it gives me this message (process com,android,vending) so i downloaded a new com.android.vending but still won't work i tried the clear data it will open and i can search but whenever i try to download it will force close.

I wanted to change my high score of any given game in the Google Play Games app. I know how to change the xml file of the app to display a high score in the app but it doesn't upload that score to the Google Play Games server. It can continue for quite a while across multiple songs, or just stop again in 15 seconds, or 30 seconds, or 5 minutes, or ... Again and again. Needless to say, I want to throw it across the room when this happens right in the middle of an intense set of reps at the gym.
I'm not streaming, the music is loaded onto my phone. It happens at random points on random songs - the same song can play fine all the way through today, and not tomorrow. I'm using corded earbuds, but I don't think it's hardware as I've been sitting in a single position not moving (mid-strertch) with the phone on a separate, stable platform and it's just ... stopped. I've rebooted. I've removed and reinstalled Play Music.
I'm running a Nexus 4/KitKat on Telus. But from what I've googles, this problem isn't unique to the Nexus - but no one has found a solution.
Had this problem before loading Kit Kat but it seemed to have "mostly" gone away then come back again with KitKat. "Typically", but not always, music plays for a while but then once it stops the first time it just keeps it up.
I'm currently using a Nexus 7 (2012 model) running Android Jelly Bean 4.3. I've been having a strange issue where the Google Play app keeps saying there is no connection. This has also occurred in the Youtube app. I have tried changing my time manually, rebooting my device, and uninstalling updates, to no avail. I am currently unlocked and rooted, and using TWRP as my recovery.

I've debloated my sammy stock rom and installed the modified Youtube application. [URL] ......However this one keeps force closing. The same happens with the original application.
To debloat my rom i've used this CWM script (made by me) perhaps did i removed a bit to much.. [URL] ....

I've performed the next steps in attempt to fix it myself:
- Reinstalled the app
- Delete its data
- Wipe cache
- Wipe Dalvik
- Wipe data
- Fixed permissions

View 9 Replies View RelatedI've searched the internet/XDA far and wide for an answer but can't seem to find a solution that fits my exact issue. I'm trying to mod my android keyboard to have red text color instead of white. I decompiled LatinIME.apk and edited styles.xml found in the Values folder. I only changed TWO lines which contain the hex color code for white- "#ffffffff". I changed them to the corresponding hex code for red which looks like #fff44444. I recompiled using ApkMultiTool. I deleted the resources file using the keep folder method and everything compiles fine. I then pushed the app to system/app making the correct adjustments to the permissions. I reboot the phone and keep getting the error message of, "unfortunately, Android Keyboard has stopped." When I go into my sms app and try to open the keyboard to send a text the message pops up again, however in the background my keyboard pops up and it DOES have the red text color I was looking for. So my modifications worked but I can't get the apk to run correctly. The ONLY file I made any modifications to was styles.xml.
I tried to wipe data for the android keyboard as well as my user dictionary but to no avail. I'm using a t-mobile G2X running Eaglesblood 4.0.4 AOSP.
I loaded a new custom ICS rom on my Samsung Galaxy sIII i747 and noticed that every time I tried to copy text in the Chrome Browser address bar, Chrome would force close. I am posting in general since this fix may work for any ICS running on any device.

Summary:
Fix requires root.
1. boot recovery (CWM) > wipe cache
2. reboot phone > Root Explorer/ES File Browser > delete /data/clipboard/* (everything in this directory)
3. reboot recovery again > advanced > fix permissions
4. reboot phone > Copy/Paste should now word (worked for me)
The SMS keeps force closing on me on my Droid 41/09. Sometimes two or three times a day. When it force closes, it deletes all threads. It even does it when there is only one thread with a few messages in it. I haven't noticed anything specific that causes the force close to happen, it just happens when it wants to. I removed all downlaoded apps and the problem persists. I am using the default messaging app. Is anyone else experiencing this and has anyone found a solution? I absolutely love this phone and it is my first Android device.

My device is a Galaxy Y, and has no official support from both the CM7 or the MIUi teams. There is CM7 build by a developer here on the XDA device thread, but it isn't completely stable due to lack of closed source drivers from Qualcomm.
Since MIUi is only available on MDPI and above devices, I have resorted to taking files from other ports for LDPI devices.
I was very successful in booting a release of MIUi I had made the previous day, but the browser kept encountering FC errors. There is already a port of MIUi available on my device forum, and that has the same problem too. I have taken a logcat, but I am completely lost as to why it keeps FCing.

My email is force closing every time I open it now. I use AOL (gasp, I know hehe), and it has never done so, until I recently updated to the latest Cyanogen update, via the Rom Manager program. I've attempted the "clear data" fix that people have referenced multiple times, without it working on any attempt. I've also reinstalled the rom, and tried a few back versions, all with "clear data and cache" selected, to see if that would help.

So i was restoring my applications and such and on the first attempt i restored some things using My backup pro and as soon as I restored my data when i tried going to my home screen the launcher would constantly force close. So of course i couldnt accomplish anything while this was happening so i had to nandroid and start over. On the second attempt i tried NOT using My backup pro thinking that that was the issue but then yet again my launcher started force closing. Now i really want to go to 2.2 but obviously i cant because of the launcher force closing.

View 1 Replies View RelatedOut of nowhere this morning, my gmail app started force closing. i haven't installed any new apps in the last couple days.
When i tap the icon, it'll load the first few messages in my inbox then it'll pop up with "the process com.google.process.gapps has stopped unexpectedly. please try again." on the rare occasion that it doesn't FC right away, it'll load the first few messages and at the bottom of the screen will say "No connection" so i'll tap the "retry" button next to that, and THEN it will FC. (and i'm not 100% sure, but I think that same process FC kills off my gchat, too.)
I'm non-rooted running 2.1 still (no froyo yet).
