I tried to root my Nexus 4, and well I'm not too sure if it is rooted but after unlocking the bootloader and wiping the data, I got it to boot back up and then since then when I turn it off and try and go into recovery mode it has a dead android with a red triangle and says "No command." I can use the phone normally but it just wont let me get into recovery mode.

I have the dead android with the red triangle on the recovery mode, I upgraded to jellybean 4.1.1 but some reason KIES reads my phone as being SGH I 747, so I factory whiped and reset, reinstalled 4.1.1. My original issue was when I wanted to sign into certain apps the phone would vibrate and then the app would crash and I would have to start over or not use the app! I tried to install a correct jellybean 4.1.1 into the phone hoping to fix the issues but I cant do anything, Now there is a dead android with a red triangle no clue what that is! When I tried to install another zip I get verification failed in recovery mode.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI don't have a rooted phone. I've been running the IK5 firmware for a while with no problems. I had to travel to the states and put my phone on airplane mode and then decided to shut it off. When I tried to turn it on, it would get to the Samsung "glowing" logo and stay there for awhile. Then the screen would flash and the Samsung logo would appear again. My phone was stuck in a loop after that. It never booted up. I decided to try and reload the firmware and that didn't help. Then I tried recovery mode. That's when I got the infamous triangle with and exclamation point in it. After that nothing. I guess I may have somehow bricked an unrooted phone. Although this isn't my specialty.

However, now when I try to install Cyanogenmod I can't get into recovery?? When I go into bootloader, at the bottom it says "Fastboot Status - FAILInvailed Command". And when I click on Recovery, the Google logo shows up with an unlocked image below it. It flashes a few times and then reboots the phone regularly.

I tried to do a cyanogenmod update, but something went wrong and now I can't boot into android. I've tried going back into the recovery mode to reflash the rom, but it freezes there. I've also tried flashing clockworkmod recovery through ODIN and download mode, but the download back never moves at all, so I'm not sure if I can't use download mode or if it's just that ODIN isn't doing anything.

I cannot get into my recovery. Alright so i bricked my AT&T lg optimus g after trying to delete some bloatware after rooting my phone. I unbricked it by using LGNPST and got stock android 4.1.2. My software version is E97020j. The phone works perfectly fine but i cant get into recovery and i want to flash some custom roms. I can root my phone perfectly fine. The only way ive seen that unlocks the bootloader of the optimus g is a program called project freegee. When i try it, it tries to reboot into my recovery and bricks my phone. Then i have to use LGNPST again.
Ive used apps like clockwork mod manager and it says i already have TWRP and Clockworkmod recovery installed but it wont reboot into any of them. It just comes up to a black screen and says "Secure boot error, cause: boot certification verify." Ive tried getting into recovery using adb on my computer and using the old hold power button and up volume button method but nothing has worked. I cant find online how to get my old stock recovery image or how to fix the red triangle and i dont know how to uninstall TWRP and Clockworkmod. The methods for other phones doesnt work on mine.

Placed cyanogen onto the 4gb sd card which came with the phone.Power off the device. Rebooted whilst holding the volume down button. Got the options up. Navigated to recovery and selected it with the power button. The screen goes blank. The o2 screen comes up saying welcome and thats it, it freezes. I have to pull the battery out of the back in order to reset the device and then it starts up perfectly normal. Tried accessing recovery mode using the clockworkmod but i get the same result.All of the points on the link above were followed. I bought this device (Galaxy S2 plus i9105p) few days ago.Yesterday I tried my recovery for a first time. There is a red triangle with a exclamation mark and fallen android guy. I can move in my recovery, but anything wont work. For example if I try to do factory reset and confirm it, everything dissapears but the fallen android guy and red triangle.
The phone and android itself works very well.
Is that normal?

I wasnt able to get into recovery mode at all, no matter what I tried, how many times, and I tried every single method with no success.People on XDA Forums were mentioning about heat somehow allowing you to access the recovery mode. Some said putting it facedown in the sun for a few minutes, some said plugging it in for 15-20 min, some said playing games on the phone to heat it will would also allow them to access the un-accessible recovery mode on their phone.I tried all of them. I put my phone in the oven for 5 minutes, twice, last night, did not work. Ok I thoght to myself. Maybe I need more heat. To get it hot to the touch.So I tried once again today, and what a shock, I was able to get in recovery mode via the 3 button - WITH BATTERY OUT, HOLD VOL UP + HOME BUTTON + POWER BUTTON, then insert battery, and let go of the power button once your phone turns on.Took 3 seconds to set everything to restore, in the recovery mode.It worked for me. If you are going to try this, maybe try with a hair blow dryer first.dont have one of those, so I couldnt, to be safer.I will not be held accountable for any damage you do if you leave it in too long or damage your phone in any way.This worked for me. Im happy I got it working.The only thing which worries me now What if heat or cold can cause your phone to brick itself? phone bricked itself out of nowhere, no idea how.
View 35 Replies View RelatedI have been trying to follow the tutorial to take my Nexus 7 (2013) from it's just unboxed state to dual booting Android and Ubuntu Touch. I succeeded in unlocking the tablet. I am using Ubuntu 13.10 on my laptop and installed the whole Android SDK and everything (even though I already had Eclipse installed for learning Java). I've reached two sticking points.
First, the part where I'm told to copy the three files (the MultiROM zip, the kernel zip, and recovery image) to the root directory of the tablet: it's not clear how to do that. The files wouldn't copy except to the internal storage folder. Or is that the root directory?
Second, I am unable to boot to recovery.

I have a Nexus one and I have made a bit of a mess of it when loading a custom rom. Previously I'd rooted (without unlocking) the stock (2.2) rom before loading Cyanogen 6, later Cyanogen nightlies and finally eViL-NXSense-v1213. I was rather enjoying the last one but had severe stability issues which I think was due to using Titanium Backup and restoring data. I was in the process of re-imaging to eViL-NXSense-v1213 after clearing the SD card, data and various caches when something seemed to happen to the recovery image. I can get into the boot loader but if I select Recovery it shows the Nexus One logo indefinitely and doesn't respond to the power button being pressed, the same happens if I turn it on from cold.
Is it possible that the recovery image has somehow been corrupted? If so what can I do to restore a recovery image that will enable me to install a custom rom. I would prefer not to unlock the boot loader but will do it if necessary.

I need to enter Recovery Mode, where I have a backup, but the problem is that my Volume Up button is not working, so I can't use the Power Button and Volume Up(I also don't know what could possibly wrong with it) one to get there. So I was wondering if there is some other method to enter Recovery, I suppose by computer. I think that when I used Odin, the device restarted being in Download Mode, and I think that it hasn't to be On to do that.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI guess as I rooted my att GS3 just fine and flashed a new aokp rom and was up and running but started to have intermittent flickering. It prompted me to reflash rom with CM10 and this is were my problems began. I wiped data/factory reset, cache partition,Dalvik cache, mounts & storage format cache, and accidentally format emmc which I think is my problem. I was able to still reboot to CWM recovery but I can't do much more than that, and now I can't get to CWM recovery mode at all. Have tried to boot and reflash from ex/sdcard no good. PC doesn't recognize phone to do recovery from backup and I didn't do internal backup which I now know was dumb. Is there anything I can do to get back up and running or did I screw myself and have to get a new phone?

Then I flashed CWM with Mobile Uncle Tool. It said that I flashed sucessfully, I got no error. But when I reboot the phone to recovery mode, nothing happend, the phone just did a normal reboot! I tried to flash other third-party recovery mode such as TWRP and MIUI recovery but I got the same problem: the phone couldn't get into recovery. The screen with a text "Recovery mode" appeared in 3s and the phone just did a normal reboot. I couldn't even format factory, all I got was just a normal reboot. I even tried many tools on Google Play and MTK flashtool but there were no hope. Now my phone is working normally but can't get into recovery mode.

before doing anything , when i enter the recovery mode it shows a picture of an Android and a Triangle next to it " Which should be the background image of the recovery mode " and there's no menus or anything , nothing appears even if i press power or volume buttons
So now after i rooted the phone , installed another recovery.img with MobileUncle , it just keeps stuck on the phone's logo and doesnt even show that triangle picture and it doesnt show anything but the phone's logo
I tried a lot of different recovery.img files but none worked, Then I tried a recovery img that worked for another guy who has the same mobile kind , it worked for him but didnt work for me
Even after flashing it with MobileUncle , still i get the same problem..
All what i edited in the root files was the boot sound and animation and i even restored the stock ones back and still the same problem
and the last_log file in System(Root)/cache/recovery Includes this

PS : Oct 15 is the last day i ran the stock recovery that only shows up the background image of recovery .. So all the recovery runs after flashing new recoveries till Oct 23 arent logged in last_log..
I want to make a clean hard reset of my GoClever Tab R974.2 but no matter what I do it won't load the bootloader. I tried all pssible combinations of all 3 abailable buttons (power,vol+,vol-) and all possible pressing times from a few seconds to a minute.I also tried rebooting into bootloader via the ADB but without any luck (device not recognized).My main problem with this system is that I tried to root it and it seemed like it worked, the superuser .apk was installed, however when I tried to start Titanium backup or any other prog that requires root access, it shows that there is no root access. Then I also tried z4root, but no luck either and SuperOneClick just freezes when restaring the ADB daemon.
