View 1 RepliesI can't figure out how to access the video camera when this app is set as the default camera.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI want to record and then upload that on server using camera but without any notification. Is their any way to start camera programmatically in video mode with screen remain off?
View 1 Replies View RelatedCan you change the directory/folder that photos are instantly saved to? Currently mine are going to /sdcard/DCIM/100MEDIA
View 2 Replies View RelatedOK, so I successfully downloaded a video onto my Desire using Handbrake, placed it in the sd card but couldn't find a video player! I ended up finding the video using the Astro directories app, selecting it and it opened in the video player. But where is the default video player when I look at all my apps?
View 1 Replies View Relatedsorry to go on about the video camera but, any one out there know whats best for 720p? h.264 or mpeg4? or is it a case of i should definitely be using one or the other?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI update my Desire to 2.2 last week and was excited to try out 720p video recording. I slid out the panel on the screen and chose video, it switches to video but then the camera app just quits and I can't use the video camera. This happens every time I switch to video and I've tried turning my phone off and on again many times and it hasn't fixed the issue. I've searched on line and no one seems to be having this issue. Any ideas?
View 8 Replies View Relatedhave been a nokia man for years now,but saw the desire once in a vodafone store, and loved it!!only issues just now are the battery life, and the video camera.took a video of our pup,and it was"jerky".was'nt in low light or anything.so tried another video in an even lighter area, but was the same.is this a software issue or are there settings to cancel this out?
View 21 Replies View RelatedWould I be right in thinking that when you are using the video camera you can't use the zoom function? I pressed every button and touched the screen a few times but nothing did it, had to stop filming, zoom in and start again.

View 1 Replies View RelatedFor some strange reason, and I haven't done any phone software updates - But the digital Zoom on both my camera and video has gone - Nothing happens when I press the volume rocker? I'm on Orange, with a branded phone and it definitely used to work.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a tablet and I want to set the portrait mode as the default orientation mode instead of landscape mode.
View 2 Replies View Relatedthere are those of us, who due to whatever reason (helmet cams, preference for posture, etc) want to record videos in portrait mode.
What happens (on my sgs2) is that the video records just fine in whatever resolution I pick... but it records it 90 degrees rotated to the right.
The solution that is usually offered is that "you can rotate it after!" yes... but then you have to CROP part of the image and lower the resolution. 1920 x 1080 recordings end up having to be cropped so that half of the view is cut out , or even more if you are maintaining a real aspect ratio.
The questions about "why not just hold it sideways", are just as pointless as the statement by steve jobs telling iphone4 users that they were holding their phones wrong.
is this something that can be remedied ? or has google decided that people should only record videos when their phones are in landscape mode?
i understand that we cant see landscape resolution in portrait mode; but can't we just have a viewport into the camera, but record in properly oriented landscape mode? so that playback on a computer will show the full resolution, even though we will only see part of it on the phone..
I watch a lot of anime from Nwanime or TV series from Couchtuner When I open these video webpages on Android I have to nagivate like on a desktop browser (tiny play button and maximise button and seek bar) On the iphone the video would open in the default video player.
How can I enable my Android device to open these videos with a default video player like mxplayer for example?
*note. Mxplayer is already my dafault player, so if I open an actual video file it plays in mxplayer. My problem is with web video
I'm Trying to fine tune the Camera settings and was wondering if you guys changed the settings around and got better Pictures/Video and what did you change your settings to? I'm more concerned about fine tuning the video Settings even though i know both the Camera/Camcorder share the same settings.
View 1 Replies View RelatedRooted tablet here. Just wondering if there's something I can modify to start chrome in incognito by default.
View 1 Replies View RelatedDid anyone figure out how to turn it on or is it not included.also how can haptic feedback be incorporated into the whole UI, it seems to be only in the keypad.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am trying to use Camera to take picture and to video recording but it always runs in portrait mode. Even if I tried to sreenOrientatiton="landscape" it solved screen appearance but when I take photo and capture video they are still saved rotated 90 degrees.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI got confused about whether the default value for android:windowSoftInputMode[1] was adjustResize or adjustPan and thought I might be able to help someone avoid similar confusion. The "Updating Applications for On-screen Input Methods" blog post[2] states that pan and scan is the default mode because it is the safest for existing applications and resize is often the preferred screen layout. But I believe it's a little more complicated than that.
If the outermost View in a layout is a ScrollView then it appears that the default is actually adjustResize. And this makes sense: if the View lives inside a ScrollView then it probably knows how to resize itself. I'm mostly basing this statement on trial and error, so it would be great if someone could confirm or correct me. Maybe this should be mentioned in the documentation at [1]? Or state that it is recommended that applications specify one or the other, rather than depending on the default?
If you want to zoom in and zoom out when in camera mode, just use your volume rocker up/down to zoom in and out.
View 15 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to use the camera in an Android app using the 1.5 API. I want the camera to flash for every picture. However, when I looked at the API for camera.parameters, the setFlashMode() method is only supported for 2.0 and higher. Yet my Cliq XT, which runs 1.5, has a flash that I can set in the menu - I take this to mean there is a way to do this for the 1.5 API, though I was unable to find it.Does anyone know how to set the flash mode using the 1.5 API?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am not able to see the "Camera" mode in Google Translate app on my SGS2.I was trying to take a picture and convert text from the image in google translate but I don't see the camera option anywhere within Google Translate.
how I can do this or how can I translate text from images in Google Translate? I've posted a similar request in Android Central too but haven't heard anything back in terms of a solution.
I am trying to make it so that when I push the camera (red) button on my phone, it launches Vignette rather than the stock camera. Does anyone know how to do this. I tried going to the "manage applications" and clear defaults on the camera, but the camera is not an application that shows up. I even reinstalled Vignette, hoping that it would prompt me to pick the default app, but no joy.Anyone know how to change the default camera, or else remap the camera button?
View 2 Replies View RelatedSo I currently have Cyanogen Tazz v4 installed and I'm loving it. I understand that there probably won't be a fix for the Froyo camera issue until there's a new kernel so I'm fine with using Camera Magic as a stand by. My only issue is I'm a big Gowalla user and I've just recently been able to upload photos using my Eris, there's been a known problem with it for a few months now. What I want to know is how do I make Camera Magic my default camera for all camera related actions? I see in the settings where I can set it as default and it is checked but when I pick Take Photo in Gowalla I only get the options of Camera (the stock not working camera) and Camera 360 (also not working). Anyone have any ideas?

View 2 Replies View RelatedAre all the default camera folders necessary? I mean I have Camera pictures, camera media, all pictures, all videos, my images, my videos, plus a few folders that I created myself. I take a pic, and it goes into more than one folder. Is it ok to remove any of those folders? On SD card, there is also a .thumbnails, 100andro, and a camera folder.
View 4 Replies View Relatedis there any way to change the default camera app on android? I ask because I have a Moto X and want to get a alternate camera app when I do the twist camera gesture on it. I figured it runs very-close-to-stock android so if possible it's an OS option first.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMany people think that the pictures taken from the phone camera are stored in internal storage and think they are losing internal memory because of taking picture bit the pictures you take is stored on sd card
Images are stored insdcardDCIMcamera
so dont worry take pictures
instal link 2 sd and wipe all cache and dalvik-cache to free up 5-15mb
While it is possible to edit text or type in Docs to Go and QuickOffice, to get to the edit mode is a PITA. The default in Docs to Go is Zoom in or out? WTF. You have to got to menu and toggle the keyboard to be able to add or edit text.
Is there a good notepad or word processing program that defaults to keyboard input? Better yet is there one that also allows highlighting text to cut, copy or paste?
