View 2 Replies View RelatedYesterday I received an OTA with 2.2.1. After unpacking and installing the update my phone rebooted as normal. When booting the Nexus-logo appears, but afterwards the display remains black. There are indications that the phone boots up as normal, as I can hear the sounds (ex emergency-call) when pressing the display. The display works perfect in boot-menu (rescue etc)
I've tried to do a factory reset and pulled out the battery several times to try to reset - all with no luck.
In addition I've placed an update.zip on the sd-card in order to perform a new manual update, but after choosing recovery, my phone restarts and the screen turns black. Any idea how to solve this?
I'll try to update for Microhaxo as he comes out with revisions to the black notification bar. This now has a subtle glow behind the clock, which in my opinion, works great and looks better than white font. No sense in having two clocks on my screen.

But I do miss the black notification bar.I saw that Metamorph could do some settings, and I installed their blue theme, but all it did was change the colors of certain things, I thought I was going to get the bar too.So, how I do get the black bar with the cool round battery? Or should I just ROM to Smoked Glass ROM? I want to give this one a chance before I move to something else

View 2 Replies View RelatedI couldn't find anything specific through a search, but whenever I get an email on gmail I get a white envelope notification. That is linked to the gmail folder. At the same time I get a black envelope with a white outline. I cannot figure out what email folder/widget/whatever it is linked to and I have to manually clear the notification.
Is there anyway to turn off the black envelope?
Where did my pretty, colorful icons go? Why am I stuck with black and white? I may be black and white in my opinions, but I'm a very colorful person.

I recently set a custom notification ringtone to alert me when I receive a new text message. The ringtone sits in my SD card under the folder "Notifications". Sometimes, I will get a text and my phone will vibrate and pulse light, but the notification ringtone will not be heard. When this happens, I go to Menu>Settings>Sound & display>Notification ringtone and then reselect my ringtone. What will happen on most occasions is as soon as I tap the ringtone I want to set, it will not sample the sound file and the menu will freeze and force close. What happens after this usually involves some cursing and a reboot. Why is my phone forgetting my notification ringtone selection? Why does it force close like that and how can I prevent this? If it makes any difference in your diagnosis, I am rooted.
View 6 Replies View RelatedWhen I get a notification, like an email or text, I want the phone to vibrate for like 15 seconds in like pulses of 3. It will vibrate a fair amount if the volume is on, but when I put the phone to vibrate only, the ONLY thing that vibrates is the ringer. I find this to be a general annoyance with Android I think. Anyone know a way I can customize the vibration settings for notifications (text, email, etc) when the phone is on silent (vibrate only)?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am getting no ringer notifications when new emails come in. The new emails are not showing up in the top bar either, nor is the pulse notification light coming on or is the phone vibrating . And yes, all these utilities are turned on and have been triple checked.

View 5 Replies View RelatedAnyone aware of any Home Replacements for the Nexus One that will allow you to: change the color of the top notification bar (and font), including making it transparent?I'm hoping I don't have to root for this. Currently I'm using ADW.Launcher to hide it, which I love, but I was just wondering about the above.
View 2 Replies View RelatedAnybody else having this problem in 2.2? I'm not sure if it ever worked or whether it stopped working since I did the update last night. I tried changing the pulse notification light setting and doing a reboot bit no luck. I googled the problem and a few other people have reported the same problem but no solutions.
I've only tested email notifications and app updates.
For some reason my ringer and notifications become disabled. Volume all the way up and not sounds from the ringer or email or system items. I can try and pick another sound but it never plays. Also the media is fine, music and videos all play fine. Only way I have found to get it back is to reboot the phone. Not sure if a program is causing it, but it is driving me up the wall and only happens every so often and it is not from a program I am running cause it is very random, and no one program causes it.
View 9 Replies View RelatedThis is my first android phone coming from years of blackberries. I've noticed that when messages arrive and I don't clear/check them on my phone, all subsequent messages that come after are not alerting using notification sounds. Is there a way for notification sounds to play regardless?
View 2 Replies View RelatedIt looks like some people had this issue. For some reason "New Voicemail" notification is stuck in the notifications bar for me. I tried everything i could find online to get rid of it and its still there. I called myself left a message and then deleted it. I called from a different phone, did the same. I rebooted. Nothing seems to help. I am using google voice for VM now.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to mute audio notification of new emails without also suppressing notifications in the status bar? I get way too much email to have it play a sound every time one comes in, but I do still want to be able to see at a glance when I have new messages I've figured out how to change the ringtone, but there's no option to use no ringtone at all. I'm hoping there's a better solution than recording a blank ringtone!
