View 7 RepliesI took the easy way, and more due to lack of time, as I am tech savvy, I used the SM Updater and now the DM updated to ROM my droid. But I do miss the black notification bar.I saw that Metamorph could do some settings, and I installed their blue theme, but all it did was change the colors of certain things, I thought I was going to get the bar too.So, how I do get the black bar with the cool round battery? Or should I just ROM to Smoked Glass ROM? I want to give this one a chance before I move to something else

I've found methods but none are recent. Is there something easy perhaps without changing the theme, I'm running stock and would like to keep it. Is it possible to change it through Metamorph?

So I was trying to show off my phone today and when I tried to take a picture the screen was black. It won't take a pic or anything. This is the first time I've tried it since the update.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI thought there was a way to set the Droid to "automatically" download and install updates to apps that were on the phone.I currently have to go into the Market app, click on Menu -> Downloads and see if any are marked 'Update Available' and update each one.Is there a way to automate this or at least get a pop-up notification that an update is available?
View 4 Replies View Relatedok so i rooted my droid a whlie ago to 2.2 but now i'm getting 2.2 froyo update. So i decided well might as well get the official one right? so i tried to install it but then it goes to the rooted reboot screen and i just press reboot now. couple days later i get the update in the notification bar again.
Help please! should i unroot(already overclock though and don't really want all my data to be deleted)? and get the ota update? what should i do?
Anyone else? Bueller? How long should I wait before I just bite the bullet and force install?
View 14 Replies View RelatedTurned on my phone this morning and besides getting emails I had an update notification. I used the advanced task killer before I actually clicked on anything and the update disappeared on me. I know, shouldnt have done that, just force of habbit when I first turn on the phone everyday. Anyhow, I re-booted my phone thinking it might come back and it didnt. I then checked for system updates on the phone and it said there werent any. Just checking to see if anyone else has ever had something like this happen to them.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI know I'm in the minority here but I DON"T want Froyo!! As a former Eris owner who had to suffer through having my phone ruined by the 2.1 update, which is why i now have a droid, I'm not willing to let verizon/moto ruin another phone I'm very happy with now... Is there a way to kill the message that comes up notifying me of the update or do I just have to be annoyed by it?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI can open gmail and then it goes back to the home screen, when I delete an app I suddenly get a notification that an app has an update (EVERY TIME I delete an app). My weather widget was reading 32 degrees all day yesterday and I noticed that the settings were changed to celcius. What really sucks is I am in the middle of buying a house and I email back and forth with the lender on my phone. Oh and the battery never got any better I can barely get 4hrs out of it. I really like the phone and I hate to return the darn thing.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Rooted FRG22 droid with custom kernel. I used SPRecovery to update to the FRG22 rooted version.
I just got a system update notification for 2.2. WTF do I do? I remember hearing that the update will drain my battery (i mean, the update notification).
Why am I getting this notification? How do I make it go away?
How to disable the automatic 2.1 popup that is constantly displayed every time I unlock my phone? I imagine it would be something like renaming a certain file, but I guess I'd have to know the name of the correct file first.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI had no clue what it was until I checked the nav bar, and saw it was a facebook update. Wow, I thought, maybe they fixed the facebook app in the background without forcing me to update. Haven't seen the blue light since, and it has been 2 days and 7-9 notifications later.
Any idea when they will fix the facebook app? Or better yet, any idea how I got it to light up once randomly? It was somebody posting a comment on my wall post fyi (and the notifications still don't refresh in the app itself). Also, why can't I view linked youtube videos from other peoples comments? Obviously the droid can use youtube, so it seems odd that they wouldn't let you watch posted videos.
I'm running Bugless Beast V0.4 but today I got a notification for an OTA. What should I do? Maybe it is the original OTA trying to install again?
