The upload and the search buttons don't seem to be doing anything on the YouTube widget when it's on the home screen. When I actually open the program list and open the YouTube app, the buttons work from there, just not from the home screen widget.

Just got my 1st problem with my nexus 1, had since january. my home and google search keys has stopped working. also the power button no longer locks the phone. problem started when the wi-fi wouldnt turn on, so i rebooted phone and then lost all these buttons when started up again. not done a factory reset yet as i am still at work and want to make sure ive got everything backed up 1st. also what is the best application for backing up sms?

Lastly, the search icon on the bar is either broken, or just does not work for me. Is there a way to make it use classic by default?

This morning i snapped an image of 42nd St-Time Square and I tried to upload to facebook. To my surprise, the option to unload directly to fb is NOT there...WTH? I did notice that the fb app for android has a little camera icon to take a picture.

I'm logged in my youtube account and m connected to my wifi at my house. But the problem that m having is that everytime i go to upload the video, It continues to say Waiting to Retry.. It keeps saying that for like 15 minutes until eventually it says Failed Network Error.. The wifi is working fine when trying to browse Internet. I deleted the cache and data in youtube as well.. I just cant understand what would be causing this, but its really annoying.. I really wish someone could help me please.. I don't know what else to do. I even created a new youtube account to sync with my gmail, and that didn't work either
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a 2 minute 720P video taken with the droidx that i am trying to upload to my youtube account. The video is 140mb in size. i get the following message when I try to upload the video to youtube via the share option in Gallery "You can not upload a video larger than 1GB".
I get this message if I'm connected to wifi or not. The video is only 140mb in size!
Any one else getting this message?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI received my new Milestone yesterday, and I have to say I am very impressed so far. I got it from Telecom Personal in Argentina. It is like the European GSM Milestone but operates in the 850/1900 UMTS frequencies.
After the long wait and through reading about the droid/milestone I am surprised Voice search/dial are not available out of the box. At first I thought it was not available in Spanish (our native language) but after switching the phone to English it wasn't there either.
Is there a way to install Voice Search ? I wouldn't mind if it work only in English as I can speak the language (sort of ).
Ironically I work for Verizon as a developer offshore and can't get a Droid because there are no operating CDMA networks in Buenos Aires. It is all GSM here.
While trying to search I can't get the keyboard to pop up.only way I found to fix is to close it and reopen the browser.

Again, this is really annoying. I can't start up a podcast, then text/email someone. The music player exits.

I have OpenSearch assigned to long press search, and since I always use the hardware keyboard, I need to close it, long press search, then open the keyboard. It's annoying.
I've looked at editing the qwerty.kl file in /system/user/keylayout, my idea was to try to redefine to search key on the keyboard (between left alt and @) to launch OpenSearch, but it apears that I can only redefine keys to other keys that way, not launch apps.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI never watch YouTube videos in anything other than high quality. But the only way I can see to change the quality is via the menu on a per-video basis. It defaults to the lesser quality, which is REALLY crappy!
Is there some way to change the default to play videos in the best quality?
And also, what's to gain by playing them in the lesser quality? Bandwidth? Battery conservation? Load time? For a phone with such a magnificant display size & resolution, I can't imagine why anyone would want to view videos in anything but the best quality possible.
This phone keeps showing normal quality videos and I have to keep switching back to high quality. Also the keyboard is lagging bad when I type this is the Second one I had and best buy will not let me return it again

Its only a 10 second clip.I linked my gmail and old yahoo account and its still not letting me do it.
