I started charging my phone (with the wall charger) around 12 last night and when I checked it at 10 this morning it was only charged to 40%. After texting a few people, etc. it went down to 30% while still on the charger but after I left it alone it went back to 40%. I turned the phone off and back on and unplugged it from the wall and plugged it back in and nothing's changing. This has never happened to me before.

I seem to have a charging problem with my new HTC desire - I only got it today. Basically when i opened the box and set up the phone the battery charge level was at around 25% full. Im in the UK but i got the phone from the US over ebay, so it didnt come with a UK mains adapter however i have an ipod mains-USB charger (that the USB cable plugs into) which i thought would charge it up by using the USB cable that came with the phone and plugging it into the ipod charger.So i plugged it in and the LED light lit up orange on the phone and the animation came on showing that it was charging so i turned the phone off, but when i checked and turned it back on after a few hours of the phone being plugged in it was still at 25% battery when i unplugged it.I assumed it didnt work because i used the ipod charger so I tried charging with just the USB cable plugged into my computer with the phone turned off, a few hours later its still at 25% charge. It hasnt gained any battery charge past 25% (it did loose battery when i had it unplugged but only charged back up to 25%)Does anybody have any ideas on what the problem is, is it because of the charger im using with it being US? I just bought a UK HTC official charger from the internet so I hope that will work.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI just restored my factory image with Android 4.4.2 and then flashed Cataclysm ROM and just a few moments ago I was setting everything up and then started messing with AdAway. I was having trouble with applying the host file but got it working by turning on ADB in developer options. When I rebooted for about the 2nd time the battery started to not go above 0% (it recently shut off right as it was applying a host file)... I got it back on and it wouldn't go above 0%. I took off the charger for a second and it shut off right away after it was on the charger for about 5-10 minutes. Now the red light is blinking while its off and charging but I can't get it to turn on, even when taking out the charger and making the red light go off. I haven't tried rebooting into bootloader yet, and right now it's just sitting on the charger with the red light blinking.
UPDATE: I got it ON, but it won't charge past 0% and right when I take it off the charger it is going to shut off. Should I delete the battery stats file? If so, where is it?
This has been an issue that's been bugging me the last few days now. The stock wall charger that came with my Droid X is the 5PN5504A, which has an output rating of 5.1V, 850mA. My understanding is that the mini-USB interface is an industry standard for power delivery to portable devices, which I take to mean that any charge source should work (wall charger, desktop PC, laptop) as long it has uses an USB interface. So any USB-->miniUSB cable can be used to charge any mini-usb device, regardless of power source, right?
I already have several other mini-usb devices, such as bluetooth headsets, which all came with their own wall chargers. However, I checked these chargers, and they all have different outputs: 5V @ 200mA, 5V @ 150mA, 5V @ 550mA. Because the default Droid X cable was so short, I was tempted to use these other chargers. I plugged in the 5V@150mA charger to my Droid X, and found that the phone does not show it's charging (the lighting bolt isn't there, there's no animation on the battery indicator). So then I switched to the 5V@550mA charger, and it DOES charge....................
I've been charging my phone on my laptop and it won't charge past 40%. Can someone please help me?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have ran into a issue while trying to root my Droid. I was following the sticky and the first time I used RSD and loaded SPRecovery 2.1 SBF it failed. I got a Critical Error DEA1. I then booted the phone and ran the file again and it completed this time.I have powered down and held X each time and never get past this screen. I then went into the section on putting the stock OS back and I get the same issue. Is there anything I can do? I have been searching the forms, but I cannot find anything.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI'm having a bit of trouble with overclocking. I'm running Fission 2.1, no theme at the moment. I tried using the built-in overclocking zip files but they made my phone extremely slow and very unstable. After that I downloaded Jrummy's Overclocking app. I can only get up to 1.15Ghz on all four voltage settings before my phone craps out on me. I've tried going higher on different voltage settings but to no avail. What am I doing wrong?

View 1 Replies View RelatedSO the first time I rooted and the first update I did gave me some problems. When the phone rebooted after the flash the Moto symbol would come up and not go any further. Either that or the symbol would show up and then the phone would reset after five seconds. So I did a few battery pulls and finally got it to work after a while. Ever since the 2.0.4 update I cannot get the phone past the Moto screen. I've tried about 12 times between that and 2.0.5 and I have to keep restoring back to my original settings before I flashed any of the ROMs. Anyone know why this is happening? I loved my phone so much more when I had the Smoked Glass 2.1 ROM and OC.
View 14 Replies View RelatedI picked up a brand new Droid X, turned it on, got it all setup, and it downloaded my apps that I used to have on my old Droid. Then I rebooted it after all the apps were installed and updated, and now it will not move past the Motorola logo screen.
Searching around the internet I have found others that ran into this issue, but they were always rooting their phones. I also am not able to boot into recovery mode.
I have not rooted it, attempted to root it, or done anything other than as described above.
Is there anything I can do? Or do I have to just head back to Best Buy and demand a replacement unit?
Has anybody figured out how to get past the Market bug that won't allow a US Credit Card to purchase an App listed with foreign currency?If I try to buy anything listed in Euros, I get an "Invalid Card" message.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI tried installing Tranquility and must have screwed something up because now my phone won't boot past the Motorola Logo. It's been sitting here like this for about 15min and I can't even boot into recovery by holding the power and home buttons. I don't know what else to do now. Idk if my phone is bricked but even if it is don't I need the SBF file to unbrick it and I can't find that file any where. I did a nand backup or whatever before doing any of this so hopefully that can help me. What should I do now?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI went to reboot my Droid because it was lagging a little and when it came back on it go stuck at the Cyanogen boot screen. I pulled the battery, put it back in and held the X to boot in recovery and my recovery won't come up either. It just skips right to the Motorola M and if it doesn't get stuck there it goes back to the Cyanogen screen.
I haven't made any changes to the phone at all so I am completely puzzled on why this is happening. I obviously can't take it back to Verizon since its rooted so if there is a way to fix this I really want to because I love my phone and my wife will kill me if it is screwed up.
Does anyone have this annoying LED bleed right around the port for the charger while charging? This is my first day with the droid and I'm wondering if I have to throw a towel on it while it charges all night....

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've searched the forums and cant find an answer or reason, but my phone wont charge either through the wall charger or through my computer.I plug it in and it says plug in your charger, and the light wont turn on. My computer says that the phone is unrecognized. This all came about yesterday when I flashed BB V.3.Froyo. I was running chevys 1.2Ghz kernel with every other rom and have had no issues. I tried a recovery, and switching kernels, and even pulling the battery but nothing has seemed to fix the issue.

However when i plugged it in, the phone just loads the motorola symbol and losses power and goes back to the motorola symbol again. it does this over and over as long as the phone is plugged into power. when its not plugged in, it wont even turn on.I then held down the center button on the directional pad while it was load (accidently) and it went to I guess what is called the bootloader. It then gave a message: Battery too low, cannot load program.this message blinks on and off the screen until u unplug the phone. I have no idea why this would happen. I did absolutely nothing to the phone and Im totally bummed out.

I have rooted my device and then downloaded CWM and tried to install Cyanogen Mod, I have tried this before and it just rebooted with nothing happening. This time the device would not boot past the motorola logo. I took out the battery and attempted to boot but again the device got stuck at the moto logo.
