General :: Battery Won't Charge Past 0% ON Or OFF And Now Won't Turn On

I just restored my factory image with Android 4.4.2 and then flashed Cataclysm ROM and just a few moments ago I was setting everything up and then started messing with AdAway. I was having trouble with applying the host file but got it working by turning on ADB in developer options. When I rebooted for about the 2nd time the battery started to not go above 0% (it recently shut off right as it was applying a host file)... I got it back on and it wouldn't go above 0%. I took off the charger for a second and it shut off right away after it was on the charger for about 5-10 minutes. Now the red light is blinking while its off and charging but I can't get it to turn on, even when taking out the charger and making the red light go off. I haven't tried rebooting into bootloader yet, and right now it's just sitting on the charger with the red light blinking.
UPDATE: I got it ON, but it won't charge past 0% and right when I take it off the charger it is going to shut off. Should I delete the battery stats file? If so, where is it?

My Note 2 stopped connecting to charger and PC last week. It eventually died. I have since tried another charged battery from my sisters phone and it still will not turn on. The initial start-up "Galaxy" logo appears, but doesn't go further than that. All functions seemed fine until battery initially drained after day two without charging. The data storage was at it's limit at the time too.

I started charging my phone (with the wall charger) around 12 last night and when I checked it at 10 this morning it was only charged to 40%. After texting a few people, etc. it went down to 30% while still on the charger but after I left it alone it went back to 40%. I turned the phone off and back on and unplugged it from the wall and plugged it back in and nothing's changing. This has never happened to me before.

I seem to have a charging problem with my new HTC desire - I only got it today. Basically when i opened the box and set up the phone the battery charge level was at around 25% full. Im in the UK but i got the phone from the US over ebay, so it didnt come with a UK mains adapter however i have an ipod mains-USB charger (that the USB cable plugs into) which i thought would charge it up by using the USB cable that came with the phone and plugging it into the ipod charger.So i plugged it in and the LED light lit up orange on the phone and the animation came on showing that it was charging so i turned the phone off, but when i checked and turned it back on after a few hours of the phone being plugged in it was still at 25% battery when i unplugged it.I assumed it didnt work because i used the ipod charger so I tried charging with just the USB cable plugged into my computer with the phone turned off, a few hours later its still at 25% charge. It hasnt gained any battery charge past 25% (it did loose battery when i had it unplugged but only charged back up to 25%)Does anybody have any ideas on what the problem is, is it because of the charger im using with it being US? I just bought a UK HTC official charger from the internet so I hope that will work.

I have a sprint GNex. I just started having this problem recently (but before the 4.3 update). I plug my phone in overnight and at some point in the middle of the night an error occurs that make the phone think it is off the charger and has a fully depleted battery. The battery level icon shows no charge and if I pull the phone off the charger it immediately says it has to shut down due to a low battery. However, as soon as I turn it back on it is back to normal with a full charge.

I switched to an HTC One last week from my iPhone and I'm starting to regret it.
I was using my phone all day yesterday and it was fine. THen before bed I picked it up and noticed that the home and back button were flashing and then it stopped. I clicked the lock button but the screen didn't respond. I plugged it into the wall and my laptop and nothing happened, the red light doesn't even come on.
I've tried holding the power button down and the volume button down for over 30 seconds and nothing happens. I really need my phone for work and school and nothing is working for me.

I just got a new htc one and have had it for a couple months, its been running fine but the other night i was doing some major multi tasking and the phone froze up and became wont work so i held the power button down to reset the phone, it rebooted and came up with a report error to htc message. i hit dont send and then the phone turned off again and wouldnt turn back on. And now it wont even charge like if i plug in the usb it doesnt even show the led light come on. I tried to hard reset the phone with the volume key and power button but it wont work. The only thing it will do is when i hold the power button down the back and home soft keys just blink but nothing else happens.

I've seen quite a few threads like this, with phones not turning on - but mine's a bit different.
It was at maybe 20-30% charge level when it just shut down, and it had one this maybe 4 times earlier in the night so I didn't think much of it, I went to trn it back on... and it just didn't. And I tried plugging it in, and the little white light blinks rapidly, and then turns off as well.
I tried plugging it in with 2 different Droid 2 chargers, rebooting it in recovery mode (the screen won't turn on at all), and I took the battery out all night to see if I could fix it that way.. no luck.
It's literally a brand new phone, I got it 2 days ago, never dropped it or anything. Am I going to have to get a replacement? I would really rather not, because the closest replacement center is over an hour away, and I need a phone before I can get over there if possible.

yesterday i was walking to my gym, and a few minutes in it started downpouring. after i got back my phone's background light was flickering like a flourescent light in an old abandoned building. i tried restarting it a few times and eventually like 10 minutes after my last restart finished the light's complexion faded and made everything on my phone look pail. i dont know if this was because of the restart or not. anyway, i turned my phone off last night right before i went to bed, and when i woke up it won't turn on, and if i plug it into the charger, the orange LED light doesn't come up. it blinks occasionally when plugged in, but very slowly, alot slower than it's normal blinking.

Last night (03/06/2013) my HTC Desire X was connected to my laptop (Lenovo Ideapad Z570) and was connected to HTC Sync Manager, and I was trying to sync my contacts, because I didn't want to loose them. I had previously backed up my photos and music, and just before I went to the Contacts tab, the phone screen and touch buttons went off, but the little red LED at the top stayed on, and didn't flash, and I think the phone turned off, but it showed no screen with HTC on it, it just went straight off. It wasn't the battery loosing charge because it was plugged in, was charging at the time and was over 50% charged before I plugged it in. When I plug it into either AC power or USB charger, the little red LED comes on, but nothing else happens.
So I tried to take out the battery for around 5 mins and then put it back in and leave it for about 5 mins, but still nothing. I then tried to hold down the Power button for around 30 secs and it didn't work. Then I tried to hold down Vol- and Power for around 6-10 secs, and still nothing. I then tried to leave it on charge over night and see what that would do, but it did nothing. When I leave it on charge over night it charges fully, and the red LED turns green, but when I plugged it in, it just went red and stayed red. The phone was new when I got it. I haven't rooted it at all, haven't loaded any ROMs onto it or anything. I haven't tried rooting it or anything, and haven't tried any ADB stuff.I haven't downloaded anything from a website I can't trust.
I was going to root my device, and that's why I was backing up, but I had already backed up my music and photos from before, but I wanted to make sure so I did it again. I don't know if it's bricked or not, but I've a feeling it is, and I don't know what it is that I did to brick it. I really need the contacts off it though, and I have ADB set up from before when I was just about to root it after I backed everything up. I now have the SIM and SD out of the phone in case it damages them, and I have the phone connected to the laptop with the battery out. I heard that you can take data from a phone using ADB, so when I set up everything, everything was ready and the red light was on on the phone, but the ADB couldn't find any devices. I am running ADB from cmd, and run cmd in administrator mode. I want to try to take all the data from my phone, and then hard reset it using ADB, because the hardware buttons won't come on on the phone.

every time i charge my phone to full, the battery level reads that i'm at 91%, never at 100%. i deleted battery stats in recovery but the problem persists. i got an htc inspire and running absolution 3.7.
my current absolution rom is a backup. i had 3 different roms before restoring this rom. should i have done a full wipe besfore restoring the rom?

I have a hdc mtk 6572 and I recently bought the battery from the original s4 in Phonehouse, the problem I have is that the phone is not charging the battery to 100% bone phone reaches 100% charge but really this half of its capacity because when the phone is 100% you remove the battery and put it into a unique and puts s4 having 50%.
What I have tried is to remove the battery batterystats.bin being 100% real (loaded with original s4) I have also tried an app which detects that the battery is 1000mAh (in the original 2600mAh s4 the detected so is no battery problem) this app it says you can modify the kernel mAh (which I do not think). The application is Battery Monitor Widget Pro
To summarize a bit, the phone does not detect the original 2600mAh battery so no load to 100%.

I'd love some input from anyone before I take my Incredible in for service, please.Three days ago I realized that the charging light was remaining yellow long beyond the phone's usual charge time. Even after leaving it plugged in overnight, the next morning I was still at less than half charge, going only by the Settings>About Phone>Battery>Battery Level graphical display. Last night same thing, whether the phone was on or off, still a yellow charge light. Today for the first time since I got the phone, the battery indicator itself turned yellow towards the end of the day.Preemptive facts:Prior to starting a new thread, I did a thorough search and found nothing related to this specific battery issue.I have the OEM, red, HTC battery, and have never charged it outside of the phone, or with any charging cable other than the one supplied with the phone.When I first received the phone, I charged it fully, unplugged, and bumped charged before turning it on. For about a week afterward I would charge to green while on, unplug, turn off, and "bump charge". I have never had trouble getting through the day on a single charge, and no, I don't think I was training a lithium ion battery, I believed I may have been training the software of the phone itself.I have tried charging the phone fully both on and off, and have not seen green for over two days. This includes continuous charging for over 10 hours.I have had the phone for roughly seven weeks.The phone does charge- just now I have gone from @25% (as measured on the aforementioned graphical display) to @40%, but at that point it seems to no longer charge, although the "Battery State" says "Charging AC" and the little battery icon shows the charging animation.Have I got a dead battery, or am I missing something? This question seems a little (a lot) odd. because naturally we want our battery to get fully charged to get the most stamina out of it.
but i read a while ago that for Li-Io batteries the most efficient charge range are 10%-90% so basically that means the full charge -discharge cycles aren't good for the battery but harmful as it cause them to die faster..
anyway i considered this reading as a good theory until i bought a sony vaio laptop which had a battery preservation feature (it limits the maximal charge to 80% or 50% depending on the option) and for more that a year and a half my battery still performed well (less than 4% degradation) so i thought this was a real deal after all.
still the use cases for a laptop and smartphone are vastly different (the laptop can sit with 50% charge just fine since it will be on charge most of the time while the smartphone has to get the maximum amount of energy to last without a charger)
so is there (or can it be made) an app that can limit the charge (to 80% or 90%)

I went to the Verizon Store to find out why my battery was not holding a charge for more than 4 - 5 hours. They checked it out, downloaded a battery saver app and sent me on my way stating my phone was no longer under warranty. Then my phone would not hold any charge, I again went to the Verizon store and was told there was nothing they could do. I went to Battery Warehouse to see if they could change the battery, they could not. So, I decided, since it was out of warranty I would removed the battery myself and see if I could order a new one. Well that was another problem because noone knows how to reinstall a battery once you open the back and take it out. So now I am going to activate my Droid 3 and use it until I update to an Iphone in August.

A random warning message occassionally pops up on my samsung galaxy fascinate. It says: "Warning: Battery is losing charge too fast. Tap here to download and fix now". At the top of my phone, on the status bar, there is a small icon of a red battery with a line through it. How did I start getting this notification and how do I get rid of it? It's like a spyware or something, I think.

I'm using a Note 3 on stock 4.4.2, rooted. tried different battery reading apps (e.g. CurrentWidget) but it always gives me 0mA when charging.
This is unlike my previous S4, where it can give me the precise readings (but of course not as accurate as a real multimeter).

I've had this phone since day one and I've ran the battery down almost every day and only had minimum "low battery" alerts but tonight I am getting a warning flash on the screen every 10 seconds saying "Low Battery: Please Charge Battery". Seriously, every 10 seconds and it started at 15% battery left.so I have at least 30-60 minutes of life left.

My Samsung Galaxy S2's battery went dead because I didn't charge it when it was down! The first times I tried turning it on it turned on and off almost instantly once it had got to the lock. Now it just vibrates (does this when you turn on) and does nothing.

i bought x10 mini in february 2012. after some days i rooted the phone. and after some days it starts auto turn off while sim is inserted. and sometimes it restarts automatically. when charger is connected, there is no problem, but when disconnected, it shuts down immediately. and sometimes it turns off while sim is not inserted but the "on time period" is about 2/3 hours. but when sim is inserted, it turns off immediately just aftrer switched on the phone. and there is a battery draining problem too. sometimes, as example, 90% charge becomes 23% after autorestart. i send it to sony ericsson service centre, but nothing has improved. and now i can see the phone is not rooted.
