How much time does Battery Left say your stock batteries get when fully charged?Mine says 10:43. I'm curious if it is different for different people. (I've drained my battery a couple of times, so the widget says it's "accurate.")

HTC Droid Eris :: Phone Feels Hot / Battery Take Long Time To Charge

Jun 3, 2010

My Droid Eris will charge from about 20% to 100% in a matter of 1-3 hours- it's always quite fast! Last night, my phone was at 20% when I went to sleep at about 12am and when I woke up at 6am it was only at 40%. The phone felt very hot. I took it off the charger and put it in another plug. It is now 4pm and the phone is only at 80% and at times feels hot. I checked out the cord and there are no lesions or breaks or any visible problems w/ the cord. I'm not sure what's going on- any thoughts? I'm going to take it to the VZW store to obtain an understanding. It's only been 3-4 months that I obtained the phone.

Motorola Droid X :: How Long For First Battery Charge?

Jul 14, 2010

I picked up a Droid X today from a local NJ authorized VZW dealer, not a VZW company store. It's my first "smart" phone and I hope it will be worth the extra $30 a month that I will be paying. So far I love it!Anyway, the guy told me to charge the phone all night long.I played with the phone this afternoon and the battery completely died at about 7pm. I plugged it in and checked it at 10pm and it was at 100%. Should I keep it plugged in all night long? The paperwork doesn't say to keep it charging after it's reached 100%.

Motorola Droid :: Battery Only Lasts 6-7 Hours From Full Charge After Manual 2.2 Install

Aug 14, 2010

I manually installed the FRG01B update yesterday. And since doing so, I have noticed a ridiculously steep drop in battery life. Do I need to be running FRG22? Is that available to download manually, if so? I also know that I don't have the version of Facebook that was causing battery drainage. ATK didn't seem to help at all (it might have even made it worse). Is there anything I can do to vastly improve battery life? It would be great if I could get the phone's battery to last at least 24 hours. I already uninstalled ATK, by the way.

Motorola Droid X :: Battery Life Improves With Time?

Aug 6, 2010

So I have had my X since 7/20. I have the OTA update. I was reading the X owner's manual and came across recommendations from Motorola to perform a soft reset (i.e. power off and restart) once a day to clear the cache or something like that. I think it was listed under tips to keep phone performance speedy.I have been doing this when i remember, maybe 2 or 3 times a week. The last few days, I noticed my phone had considerably more battery life when I got home from work. I have "smart mode" battery profile. No task killer.Right now I am at 90% battery level, 5 h 40 min since unplugged. I had bluetooth on about an hour, wifi off whole time, about 5 min phone calls and about 10 texts. I have checked e-mail a few times. Pretty light use but I have been busy at work this morning.

Motorola Droid X :: Safe To Charge Using Mini Usb Charge Source?

Jul 19, 2010

This has been an issue that's been bugging me the last few days now. The stock wall charger that came with my Droid X is the 5PN5504A, which has an output rating of 5.1V, 850mA. My understanding is that the mini-USB interface is an industry standard for power delivery to portable devices, which I take to mean that any charge source should work (wall charger, desktop PC, laptop) as long it has uses an USB interface. So any USB-->miniUSB cable can be used to charge any mini-usb device, regardless of power source, right?

I already have several other mini-usb devices, such as bluetooth headsets, which all came with their own wall chargers. However, I checked these chargers, and they all have different outputs: 5V @ 200mA, 5V @ 150mA, 5V @ 550mA. Because the default Droid X cable was so short, I was tempted to use these other chargers. I plugged in the 5V@150mA charger to my Droid X, and found that the phone does not show it's charging (the lighting bolt isn't there, there's no animation on the battery indicator). So then I switched to the 5V@550mA charger, and it DOES charge....................

Motorola Droid 2 :: High Resolution Screen - Dropping Battery Time

Aug 14, 2010

I am a new android user, and got my Droid 2 the morning they came out at the Verizon store. Now the guy that was helping me at the store told me that the battery life would be bad because of the high resolution screen but I didn't expect it to be this bad. I have been having really bad battery issues and I don't even use it constantly. I have it on around 20% brightness during the day, and I really only send text messages, and some web browsing but not a huge amount. My battery will be drained after 6 hours or so, and will need a charge again. When checking on battery manager it does say that most of my energy is going to my screen, but like I said I don't even have it close to the full brightness. I have been using an app killer program to try to maintain that also, but I did read somewhere that it can actually hurt your battery more, from closing and opening apps. Just wanted to hear some feedback from other users since we a couple days after launch. Everything else has been great with this phone, and I am REALLY enjoying the android OS after switching from a Blackberry.
