Motorola Droid :: Easier Way To Keep My SD Card Organized?
Jun 1, 2010hey guys. I'm still pretty new at this rooting stuff.I've been playing around with different roms and fun things like that.Lately I have been using the latest CM.I like it, its cool but seems a bit buggy to me. I've OC'ed to 1ghz, but it still runs rough and a little laggy in between screens.I moved to Android from the iPhone, and I know one thing that would happen with jailbreaking is if you get too many jailbreaks going it can cause bugs.I'm worried now that I've been playing around with lots of roms and making backups and stuff that I may just have too much going on. So I would like to start over.I dont have anything on my phone I'm too worried about.I have Titanium backup to back up apps and whatever else.It would be nice to backup my SMS and MMS, so I am using the trial version of MyBackup.Besides that I'm not too worried about losing anything.
So if I just want to start over with a clean rom install and lose the old rom backups, etc what would be my best bet?I think I'm going to flash BB with 1ghz kernel.Unless there are any other suggestions.Also, is there an easier way to keep my SD card organized? Just looking through it seems very messy.

Sep 20, 2010I really like things organized on my Samsung Captivate. I have folders in my Gallery listed by date and all is good except....
Is there a way to NOT have videos and movies in the Gallery?
Also, when I download pics from emails and whatever, they end up by themselves in the Gallery. Can I auto save them to a special folder or something?

Mar 31, 2010I updated baseband using recovery and everything went well. Afterwords, it appears to be messing with my temps. Previous to update SetCpu would consistently show temps in the 20's. Now it is almost always @ 30 or above. But Tempmonitor shows differently. Here are some pics. Any Ideas?

Jul 11, 2010My wife owns the Droid INC. And I have been stuck with a crappy BBcurve with worse network (nextel) for well over a year and a half. I am fed up.. I had my mind set on getting the Droid INC...My wife got hers on release date her phone is awesome and I have spent many hours using it. Today went to the local VZ store and the manager went to the back and got a droid X for me to look and and mess with. As some people have reported the phone done not feel as big as it is.. I was holding my wife's Inc in one hand and the X in the other. I don't know if its the way the phone is made or what but they almost felt the same size. It seems like the X is skinner other then the Hump.And as others have reported the Hump is not noticeable at all unless your looking for it. It is much slighter then the photos suggest.
Quality is not even close between the X and the INC even my wife said that her phone feels Cheap. The quality of the X blows the INC out of the water. Its like holding a cheap plastic toy compared to high tech piece of equipment (almost cant explain it) The UI on the X (moto blur) is nice and FAST the screens and the touch screen is super responsive seems better then the INC. But there is still something about the (SENSE UI) that I like better don't know what it is maybe its the widgets have more color or its that clock on the home screen. If that can be changed with the droid X then I would have the prefect phone. (On the INC I really like the pinch out from the home screen then pick the one you want to go too. Not a fan of the dots on the moto blur deal)The buttons at the bottom of the phone are awesome they are recessed perfect as to not get in the way but easy to touch when needed.
Motorola Droid :: Ringtones Converted And Organized
Sep 6, 2010I have compiled a few groups of ringtones/notifications all zip up and ready to install.
The file names are written in such away that it keeps them organized on SDcard.
ex:
Yoda.ogg becomes ->SW Yoda.ogg
UseForce.ogg becomes ->SW UseForce.ogg
fart.ogg becomes -> SX fart.ogg
bad2thebone.ogg becomes -> SG bad2thebone.ogg
SW - Star Wars
SG - Song intro's
SX - sound effects
SXG - sound effects GUNS
SB - sound bytes (voice)
ST - tv/movie theme music
SD - DROIDs

Motorola Droid : SD Card Gallery Error
Oct 7, 2010My SD card had corrupt data on it. I fixed the files with my PC, now when I go to my gallery it say loading new albums and when its finished just an empty gallery.However, when I go into astro in the dcim folder I can view my pictures just fine. I've reset my phone, unmounted and remounted the SD card and still nothing.

Aug 15, 2010I'm not a very sweaty person, but its august and I use my phone out side alot. Well any time I get a little bit of sweat on it the touch screen goes haywire, ie the lock screen bar just twitches. And after it unlocks it the home screens twitch back and forth. any body suggest some thing other then a blue tooth, for this problem? oh and anyone else having this issue. I'm using the verizon anti glare screen protectors.

I'm at work and it's fully charged and I should have a little time to tinker with it.When i turned the phone on for the first time this morning, it got me to setup my facebook and google account. All went well and it sync properly.Now when i go to my Phonebook....i still everyone on my facebook and I can't remove them....I would like to maintain my contacts in a nicer way as my fb account has tons of people I do not know due to me adding random people for games Is there a way I can select which contact to sync over or if this is not possible to turn it off completely but still have Friendstream working?

Jun 7, 2010I just applied the phantom skinz to my phone and stupidly I applied it to my phone and it was all good but left a smudge so while battery and phone on, I reapplied the screen protector without realizing the phone was still on... now it seems like there was too much water and the screen is distorted. Anyone know if I really messed up my phone or is it possible that its just water that needs to evaporate or do I need to go to radio shack and get a replace (if possible)?

Oct 30, 2010I have a new Galaxy S. There is a My Files application. When I launch it, it shows /sdcard/. Is this the contents of the internal SD card?
Under SD Card and Phone Storage, it shows three items: External SD card (which I have not inserted any), Internal SD card 5.78GB total and 5.69GB available, and Internal phone storage 1.80GB available (no mention of total).
How do I get to view the contents of Internal phone storage?

Jun 10, 2010Well the issues with the stock launcher have been fixed from the early days of 2.0.1 and everyone can have up to 7 screens without root.Now that 2.2 is out and the launchers work fantastic on it, i think app developers should start working on a new Gallery for the droid.. I cant stand the stock gallery, its glitchy, laggy, messes up all the time and doesnt show all my photos. Its a worthless piece of trash IMO. I cant even show friends my photos i took on my DSLR on the phone because it will never load them.

Mar 27, 2010I am a freelance graphic designer, and I just bought the Droid for Verizon as a tool to help organize jobs and business.
I'm looking for an application to help organize my jobs, and I think the features and abilities I'm looking for in ONE program may be too advanced, but we'll see.
I want to find a sort of To-Do list application that will let me do all of the following:
Organize Jobs by Clients and allow me to select the job, read the general description of the job. I want to be able to have an appendix to each note that will allow me to view people, businesses and contacts that will be involved in the job aside from the main client, ie Print shops, mailing houses, owners of rights to imagery, etc. I also want to be able to directly contact any of them as a link through the list note. and I'd also like to be able to have another annex section to each note that will allow me to set up a to-do list for each project, example: Illustration job list would be: Finish pencils Finish Inks Finish Colors Scan etc.
Anything out there for something like that? Understandably there probably isnt a program out there specifically for graphics jobs organization, but I am wondering if there is a to do list or general list application that has that intricate of an organizational structure.
General :: App Or Method To Keep Photos Organized In One Folder?
Mar 18, 2014Is there an app or way to keep photos organized? I use a lot of different photo apps and they seem to store things in lots of different places (some in DCIM, some in Pictures folder, some in their own folders, etc.). I know how use a file manager to move things around, but what I would really like is this:
Set up a picture folder (or just use the one that is already there). Inside that, set up folders for each of the apps I use (or no folders at all, just ALL the pictures). Then have pictures go into the correct folder as they are taken (not manually).
I have a rooted LG G2 but not any custom ROMs.

Sep 3, 2010did a search and didnt find anything relating to my issue.I installed a program (photofun) and i regret it. i tried it out with one pic and when i went to the gallery to view it, it would just force close when i would scroll.So i uninstalled the program but when i enter the gallery, pick a folder, and try to scroll, then it will force close. cannot scroll at all bcuz it will force close.

Nov 26, 2009Is there a quick way to refresh the gallery? I download pictures from the browser, so it automatically adds them to the gallery. But i don't like my downloaded pictures showing up in the gallery so i made a hidden folder within download/ called .pics/. after i download pictures i always use a file manager to move them to the hidden folder. but when i check the gallery, it sill shows shows them as being in the download/ folder. the only way Ive been able to refresh the gallery, to hide the hidden images, is to reboot the fone.

Within that folder I have created sub folders:
Family
Friends
Picture ID
Wallpaper... with a total 115 pictures
Well I noticed that in a folder called DCIM, there is a folder called .thumbnails, which seems to be copying the pictures(some 42 pics) from the Picture folder.
My main issue is that when I tap on Gallery it opens a black screen with folders that remain blank and nothing...
I am forced to power down because after 5 minutes the Droid is so sluggish its not usable.
Should I be deleting the folders that I created? If so where do I put my pictures?

Oct 13, 2010well I know I took pictures and I can see them using the USB cable but when I open the gallery it tells me there is nothing there.I also get a message about no SD card detected even though its there and I can see it just fine if I go into the SD card menu in the settings menu and also if it is plugged into a computer also there are pictures that I took today that arent even showing up when I plug it into the computer.I cant even read my SD card if I take it out and put it into that adapter it came with but plugging the phone into USB I can read the SD card thats in there - or I can see some pictures that I have taken
