Motorola Droid :: Exchange Mail Synch Time
Feb 5, 2010I have my exchange mail setup and working on my Moto Droid. However when I set the synch time to auto (push) and then exit out, it will then set it self to 1 hour when i go back into settings. This is highly inconvenient as i am away from my desk 80% of the time during my day. Is this a bug? or something I need to investigate with my exchange server?

Jan 5, 2010I don't know if this has changed or not. I thought that synching use to work this way:
...I'd like for when I make a change on my Eris or my PC in Gmail for it to propagate to the OTHER...For example, if I get an email on the Eris regarding a purchase I have made, I would like to give it a label and archive it...and have that change reflected in my online account; and vice-versa.
I know I have gone thru and cleaned up my inbox online, but did not see any of those moves/ deletions (apparently not an issue) / changes reflect on my Eris.

Jun 28, 2010On the car dock the "Car Home" was default to the home key on the Droid. If I backed out of Car Home to get to an app or something, I would just touch the Home key and it would get me back to car home.

Jan 17, 2010One thing that's bothering me about SH... I don't use Beautiful Home anymore. In fact, I've removed all beautiful widgets from all my home screens and home screen replacement apps. Yet for some reason I get the weather thing in my status bar as if I had Beautiful Home running. Which means it's somehow being run without being told to. And it only does this with Sweeter Home.

Sep 7, 2010I like switching between the stock home and Launcher Pro and ADW. Since the 2.2 update, when I use a home switcher to use one of the replacements, my phone defaults back to the stock home screen when I hit the hardware home button on the bottom of my Moto Droid. Is there a setting I am missing to change this. Even when I select the replacement as "default" using the Home Switcher, it still reverts back to the stock one when I hit that home button.

I've also heard that these apps don't play nice with the Droid's resolution/format/size screen. Has anybody tried any (or preferably all) of these three apps? Are you able to provide some of the pros and cons of each so I can make an informed decision? I would like to try out some of these options, I'm a huge customization freak.

Sep 26, 2010I have a non-rooted Droid 2 and the Desk/Home dock. When I first tried it out, it worked as expected-starting the home dock screen when placed in the dock. However, I now find that whenever I dock the droid, the notification bar shows that it is connected to the multimedia dock but it does not start the dock application. I used Astro to browse the /system/apps folder and found the Dock app- clicked on Open App manager and then Launch at which point I get a message saying "Activity not found com.motorola.dlauncher". I don't know if this is why nothing is happening when I dock the Droid but can anyone tell me why this suddenly stopped working and what I can do to get it working again?

Jul 18, 2010So I have Launcher Pro, and I don't always want to use it but I want to every now and than, so I downloaded Home Switcher. I have Regular home set as default, and it shows it is. But when I hit home it always goes to Launcher Pro. I have checked under Applications to make sure it wasn't set as default or anything and it is not. So my question is anyone else having this problem? Or does anyone know how to fix this without just un installing Launcher Pro and reinstalling every time i want to use it?

Jun 30, 2010So I just got my car mount for the droid yesterday,and was wondering about the car home screen.For some reason, the car home screen has about 4 blank spots where it looks like you could put apps in there, but you can't do anything with it. When I am docked/car home mode and answer a call, shouldn't the call automatically use speaker phone (unless bluetooth connected)? Also, in car home, why not be able to answer a call with a button press instead of a slide? Finally, why isn't the phone screen rotated?
It seems to me, if I am car docked and I need to swipe and switch on speaker phone, the purpose of having a car home is defeated.
