Samsung Fascinate :: Microsoft Sync In Ford Vehicles?
Nov 13, 2010Has anyone used their Fascinate with Microsoft Sync in Ford vehicles? If so, what is your take on it.
I just got a Focus and have been using it to make calls and stream music. It does that very well. However, my SF gets super hot while streaming internet radio via bluetooth. Plus, it can't recharge via the in-car usb fast enough. Those are the only two drawbacks.
HTC Incredible :: Ford Sync And Navigation
May 27, 2010I have a 2008 Lincoln MKX.I was able to pair the phone and can use it for calls.However, when I use the navigation option on the phone, I am not getting any audio through the vehicle's speakers.I need to turn off bluetooth and use the phone's speakers.Has anybody else run into this issue or know what can be done to correct this?

Jun 10, 2010I thought I had read something about this before, but now I can't put my finger on it. Is the initial synch between Gmail contacts and Facebook using e-mail addresses or contact names? In other words, if I'm using only first names for some contacts will it find their Facebook profiles or will I have to change the contact names to full names? My Incredible is arriving today (can't wait) and just want to know if I need to update my contacts.

Apr 22, 2010I've searched all over the internet, and all over my phone trying desperately to figure out why I can't listen to my voicemail anymore. I installed Fusion Visual Voicemail a few weeks ago, and didn't really use it that much, so I uninstalled it. My phone crashed and I had to hard reset it, but I'm still getting those texts from the App when I receive a new voicemail. They don't make sense, it's all a bunch of numbers. When I try to call my voicemail it's another answering service. I can't find it under the "Manage Applications" tab.
I'm sorry if these seems redundant or ridiculously stupid.

Mar 29, 2010I have a Ford with Sync. So, I get into my car and I see a VVM. I push to listen but I cannot listen to my VVM in my car with Sync. It seems the issue is the Droid is routing the VVM thru the "bluetooth headset" (it shows) at all times once a Ford Sync is connected. I guess that seems logical, kind of. And of course, the Ford Sync does not initiate - so no speaker sound - unless you make a call. So, the Droid is playing the VVM via BT but since BT is not initiated by just listening to a VVM, the VVM is playing into thin air. No way to listen to it. You can't put it on speaker phone the Droid and you can't put the Sync to be able to listen as it can only do that if on a call.
Furthermore, If you go ahead and dial into your voice mail direct, defeats the purpose of VVM, you have to cycle through all of your VM to get to the new one and if you delete any, it deletes them off the phones VVM menu. So, I see only 3 lame methods:
1. Dial into your VM and bypass VVM
2. Turn BT off on the phone, listen, turn it back on to Sync with your car
3. Disconnect the BT Sync on your car, listen, reinitiate the BT Sync with your phone.
HTC Droid Eris :: Gmail - Synch ?
Jan 5, 2010I don't know if this has changed or not. I thought that synching use to work this way:
...I'd like for when I make a change on my Eris or my PC in Gmail for it to propagate to the OTHER...For example, if I get an email on the Eris regarding a purchase I have made, I would like to give it a label and archive it...and have that change reflected in my online account; and vice-versa.
I know I have gone thru and cleaned up my inbox online, but did not see any of those moves/ deletions (apparently not an issue) / changes reflect on my Eris.
Motorola Droid :: Exchange Mail Synch Time
Feb 5, 2010I have my exchange mail setup and working on my Moto Droid. However when I set the synch time to auto (push) and then exit out, it will then set it self to 1 hour when i go back into settings. This is highly inconvenient as i am away from my desk 80% of the time during my day. Is this a bug? or something I need to investigate with my exchange server?

HTC Incredible :: Calendar Syncing With Microsoft Outlook 2010
Nov 5, 2010Has anyone had any issues syncing 2010 microsoft outlook calendars on their droid incredible? When I first set it up it was super easy and had no issues (i was on 2007). Then my work computer got upgraded to 2010 and it worked for a bit and now the calendar won't sync correctly. Contacts and emails have no issues. I get an error message on my calendar though and only certain appointments sync. I tried to delete the account and reset it but each time I did that it double up appointments in my work computer outlook and still didn't get all appointments on my phone. Now I am afraid to try that again since it is a pain to delete all the duplicates.

Aug 16, 2012Now I've done a bit of research into Fusion tables already and I know it's possible for me to put all the data that's going to be in my app into a fusion table and then display the fusion table there for the user to see the data. Much easier to update the data when need be instead of making it static text and having to update the app via the play store every time I need to update the data.
How do I do this though? All I know is that it's possible and that I should use the Fusion table API. More than anything I just need a starting point so I know how to set up Eclipse and then learning the code is up to me.
Any apps at the moment that use Fusion tables to hold their applications data? Would be good to download them and have a play.

Oct 17, 2010I just Flashed to KaosFroyo V37 from White Widow. So far the Froyo seems to be much faster and smoother than WW. My only issue is that I cannot get Ford's Sync to pair with the phone on this ROM. It has worked on every 2.1 ROM that I have used. It gets to the point where you enter the PIN into the phone and then the connect process crashes.

Mar 4, 2010It seems Microsoft has come out with a scanner for android for free that they've previously made available on the iphone. Called Tag.
Microsoft Gives Android the Free Barcode-Reading Tag App - Microsoft tag android - Gizmodo. I found it in the marketplace but it doesn't work on my Eris. I downloaded it and opened it but couldn't get it to scan any of the barcodes or QR codes I tried whereas my Barcode Scanner app picked them up easily. The is started freezing, doing nothing. I uninstalled and then reinstalled and all I got was force closes after that. Maybe it is not compatible with 1.5 although it was in the marketplace. Has anyone else tried it successfully? I guess I will stick with Barcode Scanner, not sure if Tag does anything different or better than that anyway although the article said it has an advanced way of reading.

Aug 11, 2010I have a 2010 F150 with sync and currently i use:ipod connected via USB for music blackberry connected via bluetooth for phone garmin connected via power for nav.I am planning on buying the samsung captivate when rogers releases it and a car dock and what I am wondering is if I put the phone in a car dock and connect only to USB and pair it to blue tooth, will I be able to make calls, play music, use the maps/nav all using sync? Because I notice when i try to play music via bluetooth sync doesnt have full voice control and when i hook up my ipod via usb the ford logo takes over and i cant control the device unless its through sync.So it seems like the phone to do all three is a bit unlikely.

I have narrowed my problem down to this happening whenever I get into my truck - and that it has to do with the Ford Sync. Now the other part...Im from Belgium. The htc hero is not launched yet in Belgium because they need to remove the youtube app.
So I went to netherland and bought a htc hero! Hehe...but then I tried to connect to the market...so I tried to connect to my gmail account and I got the same error as the guy above...From the simcard/service etc...
Now I called my provider..he sais my simcard is quite new...so normally their shouldn't be any problem. I don't got data activated yet...but I'm connected true wifi...so that shouldn't be the problem? To be sure I activated the service right now..and waiting to get activated...
Could It be that my htc is blocked because I'm using one from the netherlands in Belgium?because of the situation with the belgium htc's?
HTC EVO 4G :: Synch Google Calendar Without A Computer
Sep 30, 2010How can I synch google calendar to EVO without a computer. I want to upload or (import) an .ICS file to Google Calendar from my EVO. I can download the ics calendar to my evo. when I goto google calendar under my calendars and select import calendar, I get a new window that says import calendar choose file. If you have Astro file manager installed on your phone it will actually let you choose your file I.E. an ICS file which I have located on my SD card. When you choose this file and select import It says "Failed to import events Empty uploaded file." When this exact same action is done on a computer it works flawlessly, what gives i cant carry my computer everywhere and I need to update my google calendar.
